Ha ha! I almost spit out my coffee reading that! :lol: With just my 2 grandsons it seems like thousands of people "mobbing" my house!

Well it turned out to be a crazy hot day here. We reached a high of 96 degrees this afternoon. I was kind of depressed about not being at the track for the second year in a row but when I heard how hot it was I got over it quick. I really kind of miss working at the track. We use to run a concession stand as a fundraiser for our scout troop. We would have to get there at 4AM to get it set up and it was kind of like walking into a ghost town but within a couple of hours you had close to 500,000 people show up. I also worked the press box a couple of years with scouts handing out press releases to all of the reporters. We would get there at the same time but we got to go into the garage area and you could really just feel the sense of history walking through there and then out onto the pit lane in the moonlight. I will never forget how it felt to see the front stretch completely empty and then a few hours later to be standing in the press box at the start finish line as they started the cars up and the crowd went wild. My favorite part of the day though is always Jim Nabors singing back home again in Indiana. My grandma always loved that song and she defintely passed that down to me. I hope everyone had a Great Day!!!!!

Last day of May, huh? Wow! 5000 posts in? Schools getting out, summer is here....I just can't get over it. Time continues to fly by and we move closer and closer to our time of year. Just think about it....we really get cranked up when school starts back and yall know how fast summer goes!

Well its a holiday in the States today. Here in Canada (Since my job is talking to Americans) we were GOING to get today off, till the boss changed it Booo urns for that. Oh well. Im listening to Christmas music right now. In the cool basement. I really dont want to go to work today haha. Oh well. Countdown is chugging down! Almost 6 months left till Christmas. Heck 5 months from today it will be Halloween, then the day after that my Christmas stuff goes up! Have a great day all!

Nope they like chocolate chip... they are not too fond of blueberries yet. I love blueberry pancakes...anything blueberry actually... always did. LOL!

Same here. I practically grew up on blueberries. To this day my mom often refuses to make blueberry pancakes because they remind her of me! The fact that we only see each other once or twice a year besides Christmas certainly does not help. But, really, I could definitely go for some blueberry pancakes.

Good morning, everyone!!

It looked very hazy when I woke up this morning. The second I stepped outside, however, I realized that it was not haze - it was smoke! That's right, smoke has filled the air of Ottawa. I am not having any problems breathing, but I could imagine that others are. Apparently, the smoke is from forest fires from 3-5 hours away in Quebec. I do not know when it will disperse... Hopefully soon for the sake of everyone else.

Other than that, I'm back at work today. No long weekend for us. According to the newspapers a female runner set a new world record in the Ottawa Marathon yesterday. I had planned to attend, but I was in no shape to wake up early yesterday due to a friend's housewarming party on Saturday night. I should really get back to work though. I will be in and out all day.

Happy Memorial Day!! Just got home from a swelteringly hot parade... ahhh! VERY hot and humid today! Going to my father-in-law's where there is a pool (which I will NOT be getting into being 7 months pregnant, haha!) and central air!! Woo hoo!
