It looked very hazy when I woke up this morning. The second I stepped outside, however, I realized that it was not haze - it was smoke! That's right, smoke has filled the air of Ottawa. I am not having any problems breathing, but I could imagine that others are. Apparently, the smoke is from forest fires from 3-5 hours away in Quebec. I do not know when it will disperse... Hopefully soon for the sake of everyone else.

I hope it clears out soon!!!!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!!!!!!!! I am off to a slow start today. I managed to run to the store for some bread this morning but that is it so far. We are supposed to get some heavy storms moving in here shortly so I may go throw some hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill for later. I hope everyone is enjoying the last day of may.

Well, the food has been sitting since early this morning soaking in those good flavors and already flipped them twice. It's about time to do it again! Then, before we light up the grill, I think I will take me a little relaxing nap.

Just a small get together with the in-laws, hamburgers were involved.
Topped the evening with a trip to The West View Farms Creamery in my town, the best ice cream anywhere! I had a diet busting 2 scoops of coffee ice cream in a waffle cone, my favorite. After all a GREAT day!

Man, I hope everyone had as good a day as I did! We ate and enjoyed the day like never before. Good, good times. Now, we move on to the week ahead....the last full week of school. I am quite ready for this year to be over. Each day this week is an early out, also. That will be great. We will get out at 1:00 everyday this week. Can't wait. Going to get yard work done and enjoy some down time.

Well the stroms came through and cooled it off here for a little while. I spent most of the evening sitting outside with my neighbors and enjoying the cooler temps. Unfortunealy the humidty has returned and tomorrow it is supposed to be almost 90 again. It is way to early in the summer for it to be this hot already.

Sounds like most had a great long weekend.

Just house work and cakes to work at today. A storm went through our area last night so it cooled off. (the humidity is gone this morning, which really makes it feel better) I have all my doors and windows open bringing in that lovely fresh air. cheesy

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My family feels a little far-flung today. The kids are at my mom's, about 15 minutes away, and Nancy has gone to Atlanta with her sister to see the Princess Diana exhibit. I don't like it when we are scattered like this.:-?

We got LOTS of rain yesterday, which is great, but now I have to spray the yard for weeds. They'll surely take-off with all this rain. I have to get a preemptive strike in.

How do you drink all that coffee and sleep? Lol! I decided late afternoon yesterday to drink just a half of cup of coffee and was tossing and turning all night. I would sleep and hour then up for a bit and fall back to sleep for another hour of snooze time. I am a wimp I guess. I need Binger Power! :???:
