We had a nice Memorial Day. My husband and I went to my job to feed all the animals but we are closed so that is all I had to do. Took about 45 minutes then went to pick up my son and parents and we headed to Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma. I only gambled 12 bucks and lost, lol. My husband and I went for the free Beatles tribute band concert. The band is called, Yesterday. I was surprised but they were very good and sounded a lot like The Beatles! My parents and son gambled while we watched the concert.

Reading all the post it sounds like most of you had a good Memorial Day except for Crown. Not fun getting sick like that.

Later this month Hobby Lobby will be putting Christmas goodies out! :???: They should have it all out by July. I have on some Christmas music now.

Really?!? I had no idea, thanks! cheesy

Haha I do that too. They sometimes look at me funny, but I have caught a few people doing it as well. They just start to walk away as I come down the isle like they don't want to be "busted" for looking so early. I am also looking forward to Michaels having their Halloween stuff out. As soon as they do, the xmas stuff slowly starts to appear. I don't think we have hobby lobby on the west coast though..bummer. I have heard good stuff about it!

We are expected to reach high temperatures up to 100 this weekend! We get hot here and we do get temperatures that high every year but not this early. Yikes! It has been in the upper 90's since last week. In May through the first half of June it is usually in the upper 80's to lower 90's. I am not looking forward to the electricity bill this summer. :-? Oh well, that's life! cheesy

Ugh - house drama!!!! We just found out the seller didn't disclose that the house is in a FLOOD ZONE!!! Apparently it doesn't flood (just some water in the basement with heavy rains - it's near a creek) but flood insurance is just so high! I am waiting to get some quotes and our agent is going to talk to the other agent and find out why the heck she didn't tell us this! If we can get the price down some, we might consider going through with the deal.. blah! Oh well, better we find out now and now in 2 days after we've paid for the appraisal, inspections, etc!

I work for a major insurance company...all flood insurance is governed by FEMA (Federal Government) so the price for that should be the same no matter where you go. Make sure your mortgage company requires it too because sometimes they suggest it but dont require you to purchase it. Also I know that something is going on with Congress right now and we cant write any new flood insurance in Maryland..this probably wont effect you and Im sure if everything goes through you wont be closing within a few weeks and by then Congress should have their act together and everything will be back to normal but to be safe you might want to bring this up...Im not sure if its just the state of MD or the whole US. Best of luck!

Im very rarely on at home and/or at night. My Hubby had a baseball game and my youngest ( 9 months ) didnt take a 2nd nap so I got him to sleep around 7:45..I was excited I would get to spend some one on one quality time with my 3 year old..well I was doing some quick dishes and went into the living room and he is sleeping on the recliner :-? I thought I would like a free minute to myself but I was really looking forward to a few minutes with my 3 year old because that doesnt happen very often....Im going to go cuddle with him..Im sure that will make me feel better! I hope you all have a lovely evening!

:tree:

Thanks for the well wishes, friends.

They have me on Keflex (anti infection) and Hydrocodone (for pain).
I am trying to take the latter just to get to sleep at night. During the day, a bit of pain helps to stop me from overdoing and risking further injury.

And hey! I wanted to loose some weight and dropped 4 pounds during the hospitalization!

Good Morning, Friends.

Well Folks, things just did NOT go as planned at the beach, to say the least!
We arrived fine Friday evening but about 11:00 PM or so, I began developing stomach pain. This had happed a couple of times before and went away. It didn't this time. I was awake all night long. Early Saturday morning, my sister drove me to the hospital. After about a 3 hour emergency room wait, I was diagnosed with a damaged gall bladder that needed to be removed immediately. That surgery was done Saturday morning and I was released yesterday morning in time for our trip home.
Such is life. At least I won't have to worry about that problem in the future!
The cause? The doctor could not say.
(Not from drinking too much coffee, that's for sure.)

Of course, not everything got done that needed to be so we will likely return the weekend after next which is fine since our first renters do not arrive until June 20.

OK!
Thanks a mint, Minta, for your dependable continuation of our count which as of today is:
Days to the Season: 165
Days to Christmas Day: 207
One week from today! The 200-day Christmas Day window.
(The count sure moves fast when you are gone - even if you're in a hospitall bed!)

Overcast here in Raleigh where rain is possible all week.
We stand at 74 degrees currently.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
