2 days until Christmas in August (hehe) on QVC!!!! And happy due date to me! Still no baby! My husband seems to think the baby will get the message that he/she is supposed to come today just because it's my due date but I keep laughing and telling him that unfortunately, babies don't have dayplanners like that!

Yup I saw that and was doing the happy dance. My husband is taking our daughter to the Phillies game that evening so they will have perfect weather for a ball game.

Good morning everyone.... it was still kind of muggy lastnight so we kept the AC on. Well this morning as soon as I felt how cool and breezy it was, I shut off the AC and opened all the windows. Then while getting ready for work I heard natures sweet music. GEESE flying over the house headed SOUTH!!!! Another sign that summer is on the way out and fall is on the way on. Now if it would stay like this or even stay a bit cooler for the rest of the month I would be very happy. Saw a few more leaves turning color. In a couple more weeks I will be buying more fall scented tarts for my tart warmers and bring out my fall candles. Can't wait!

Good Morning, Good Morning, Friends!!
Another week has begun and we move but another day closer to that certain special Season:
Days to the Season: 82
Days to Christmas Day: 124
The day after tomorrow (and that's the same as 2 days, Yogi) we uncover another Milestone gem as we excavate our way towards Christmas Season 2010, that gem being the 2/3 mark to Christmas.
(Where has the year gone?)
More substantial rain late yesterday and things are damp but sunny here this morning where we stand at 77 degrees on our way up to 90.
We are promised a "cool" 85 for tomorrow. That will feel nice!
I can't wait for "A Christmas To Remember" to finish setting up at the mall so I can snap a pix and kick off our "Christmas Blossoms" thread some time next month.

Mornin' everyone! I hope you had a great week! This is my last week of summer vacation. Classes start next Monday. The following Monday is Labor Day and the Fall stuff is going up then! Can't wait!
You know, I have not spotted geese here in Ottawa in a couple weeks. I have not noticed that until now. It truly is cooling down.
I was just thinking about this, Crown. It is only about a month away! "The Christmas Blossoms" thread, courtesy of "A Christmas To Remember" definitely helps further the anticipation for the Season! After all, more and more signs begin to pop up soon after.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
It was an exciting Saturday morning in my little town. Some guy had stolen a pickup truck and was being chased by a deputy sheriff at 6AM. I was outside walking to open the store for my father in law, and I thought it was a deputy escorting a volunteer fireman to a fire. About an hour later, the same truck passed the store again (in the opposite direction), this time with FOURTEEN police cars behind him. One of them was my niece's husband. He said they were all doing approx 130 MPH. The guy was finally caught and no one was hurt.
After that, my weekend seemed kinda tame. My son and I shot some skeet yesterday afternoon, after church and lunch.

Monday morning. Monday mornings used to be something I would dread. Now, it just means another week into our countdown toward Christmas. I like them now! The weekend went well. The weather was not too nice, but it was cooperative enough to not cancel any of the games this weekend. We had a bit of rain during our games on Saturday. Still, it did not make much of an impact. We won our semi final game 15-5 and then we were up in our league finals 10-6 but somehow managed let the other team tie it at 10-10. Then, we were down 14-13, but managed to win 16-14! We won our Monday night league for the second year in a row. All of us just play this league for fun because it is not very competitive for us - but I think we would have been angry if we had lost.
Much like the weekend, it is raining here today. It is supposed to clear up this afternoon. The rest of the week also looks quite decent. Hard to believe it is the last full week of August. How can that be? In fact, it is also my last week of work for the summer. I depart for North Bay next Tuesday and I will be using the weekend and next Monday to pack. It will be quite weird having to get used to live in a new city again. At least, however, I have a decent history around North Bay and will probably adapt to it quite well. Luckily, a friend of mine - whom I graduated with at Carleton - will be in my orientation group and all my classes for the year. This should definitely help ease the process as well!
2/3 mark to Christmas Day and 80 Days to the Christmas Season are coming very quickly! QVC's Christmas in August on that date as well? I like it! Hopefully I will find some time to tune in and celebrate the four month countdown to Christmas with some online window shopping on Wednesday!
