Christmas Countdown - 2010

Another Monday morning and another day closer to Christmas! Dylan weighted in at 25 lbs and 31 inches at his 1 year appointment on Saturday. He is between the 75 and 90%. The same exact height and weight I was at 1 year old many years ago cheesy. He is a pound lighter and an inch shorter then my older son but I still think hes pretty close!

Nothing else really going on. I put out my first fall decoration. A really cute "Happy Harvest" sign on my entertainment center. The rest will go up this weekend. I will wait and put the outside stuff up the weekend of Labor Day so my neighbors dont think Im crazy (even though you all know I am haha)

I have a class tomorrow morning and Thursday afternoon so my week should go by pretty fast especially since I will be off on my Wednesday again. Not sure how much of a chance I will have to check in on here since I will be out of work 1/2 the day tomorrow and Thursday.

Have a wonderful week friends! The weather here in Maryland is also beautiful 80 and sunny today , rainy and 73 tomorrow (will surely feel like the Fall)..the highest for the week is Thursday at 85. I hope this is the end of the heat!

Somehow Sunday night turned to Monday morning without me seeing. I'm pressing to get things in shape here before heading out of town with my bride on Wednesday for a little vacation. I'm taking my laptop with me and for a few days I'll have good access but if I fall off the face of the earth it is because we're on a cruise for a week, heading to New England and Canada.

Happy Monday!!!

2 days until Christmas in August (hehe) on QVC!!!! And happy due date to me! Still no baby! My husband seems to think the baby will get the message that he/she is supposed to come today just because it's my due date but I keep laughing and telling him that unfortunately, babies don't have dayplanners like that!

I am not sure what I got myself into but Tuesday and Wednesday a friend of mine asked me if I could watch her kids for 10 hours each day. She has 4 year old twins and a 6 year old. Then I have my 3 grandkids! What was I thinking? Lol! I will have 6 kids for 10 hours. I use to watch that many all the time and did it for 12 years but I am out of practice. She really needs my help though because her husband is in the hospital. I will probably see if my mom can help.

I hope your getting lots of rest today!!!!!!!!!

Mornin' everyone! I hope you had a great week! This is my last week of summer vacation. Classes start next Monday. The following Monday is Labor Day and the Fall stuff is going up then! Can't wait!

It was an exciting Saturday morning in my little town. Some guy had stolen a pickup truck and was being chased by a deputy sheriff at 6AM. I was outside walking to open the store for my father in law, and I thought it was a deputy escorting a volunteer fireman to a fire. About an hour later, the same truck passed the store again (in the opposite direction), this time with FOURTEEN police cars behind him. One of them was my niece's husband. He said they were all doing approx 130 MPH. The guy was finally caught and no one was hurt.

I am glad to hear that no one got hurt!!!

Then, we were down 14-13, but managed to win 16-14! We won our Monday night league for the second year in a row. All of us just play this league for fun because it is not very competitive for us - but I think we would have been angry if we had lost.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!!!!! It is a beautiful day here in central Indy. It started out really foggy but it burned off pretty quick. I spent a couple of hours working and now I am home to do some cleaning. I hope everyone is having a good day!!!!!

Made, speaking of getting lots of rest is what I just might HAVE to do today. I slipped on some steps earlier today and felt my back pull. It was a little achy but I was ok to run some errands then came home. My dad came over to use our computer. He asked about something on the internet and I leaned over to look, felt a sharp pain in my back and screamed right in his ear! I really pulled something out of place and now it's hard to walk. I startled my dad and apologized for yelling in his ear. He didn't know what the heck was going on with me. Lol!

I went to the thrift store today and they had quite a few Halloween decorations out. I picked up a few and got a really good price on it all. If my back straightens up I will try to get some pictures and post.

We had a bit of rain during our games on Saturday. Still, it did not make much of an impact. We won our semi final game 15-5 and then we were up in our league finals 10-6 but somehow managed let the other team tie it at 10-10. Then, we were down 14-13, but managed to win 16-14! We won our Monday night league for the second year in a row. All of us just play this league for fun because it is not very competitive for us - but I think we would have been angry if we had lost.

School started here today -- it took me 15 minutes to get out of my driveway (we're three doors down from an elementary school). That's always a milestone towards Christmas for me.

On our way to Target this morning started off sad. We were going down the road (very busy road) and saw 3 boys standing over a little dog who was laying on the curb shaking. I told Wayne maybe we should turn around and see if we can help. We went over there and this poor little dog, maybe 10 lbs., was laying there, labored breathing, eyes closed and trembling. They told me their dad saw the dog at 2:30 in the morning in the middle of the street and moved it to the curb. He said he called the pound but they have yet to come pick up the dog. I was kind of shock seeing it was almost 10:00 am and the dog was suffering this whole time. At that time a young lady came over to the dog and she didn't know who it belonged to but told me she sees dogs running around all the time outside. Wayne and I wrapped him in a blanket and told them we will take him to the vet and to let whoever know if they are looking for him what vet to call.

I took him into the vet office and it was crowded but they rushed him back to a room ahead of everyone else. I told them the situation and was really afraid they would send me somewhere else since it wasn't my dog. The vet took a look and said they will have to euthanize him. I thought since it was a stray is why they said that but I asked what would it cost to try to work on him and they explained that all the money in the world would not save him. They explained the condition but I forgot the name of it. Something to do with being paralyzed/coma with the labor breathing and he would not respond to anyone. Even though it was sad I was glad to see this poor little guy not suffer anymore.

I don't want to accuse this dog owner of neglect but I see it in my neighborhood, ALL THE TIME, people letting their dogs out the front door without a leash to go potty. I don't get it! They have backyards and don't use them for their dogs. We live in a very busy city with speeding cars all around. :-?

Bless your heart for being so concerned.........Awwww. I would havae done the same thing..poor little thing. But he/she is not suffering any longer. It is so kind that you cared !
