Days to the Season: 283
Days to Christmas Day:325
SINGLE DIGITS to the 1/4 Season Milestone, Guys!
That's right! Down to only 9.

OK. Peak of the Week and Shispering Pines day!
No doubt Holiday will be joining me as usual. Carl will be on hand, of course, to welcome all comers with hot tea, fired twinkies and no doubt some strange, experimental coffee blend. (He said something about cranberry juice this time. GAD!)

WOOHOO only 9 more days until our next milestone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Count me in for some hot tea and fried twinkies.

Just got home. Love visiting with friends I haven't got to see in a while. Just stupid that we wait until something is wrong to do so.

I agree coach. I have alot of family in PA that live close together but never talk. It has always amazed me that they live within 20 miles of each other and only get together when someone passes away.

once again, Kandice is very sick again.....a terrible cough again.....hope to get a rehab for her granted....either to the mountains or to the sea....to get her lungs relax again....I feel so sorry for my little one

I hope kandice gets feeling better.

Howdy all. Feeling a bit under the weather today and heading home from work early. Had to laugh when I saw all the predictions of six more weeks of winter. I'd still give my eye teeth for a good snow storm. We haven't really had a winter here in Salt Lake, it's been more like four months of late fall. I'm starting to worry about drought this summer.

Well I done working for the week. The rest of the week and weekend are devoted to football and racing. The Schools here in Indianapolis have already announced that they are going to start 2 hours later monday morning because of the super bowl on sunday night. That has some people mad and others think it is a great idea. Three years ago when the COLTS where in the super bowl they had to cancel classes on the following monday because over 50% of the bus drivers called in sick. So I think giving everyone two extra hours in the morning next monday is a good idea. I haven't decided if I am working or not next monday. I will probally plan a short day so I can have a late start of my own. The rest of today I plan on laying around and relaxing. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you get feeling better Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The comcast techs are replacing the cable 1 mile away from me right now and should be replacing the lines here in my apartment complex tomorrow. So I might finally be able to get high speed internet next week.

I'm drinking Starbucks Christmas Blend right now!!! Still have about six pounds left in my stash...Usually lasts till May or June but at the rate I am drinking it...It'll be long gone by May...So cool that we are a mere nine days to the 1/4 mark...I oughta start decorating!!!

I've been feeling the same way about our winter although I woke up to a new four inches of snow today...We've not had a single barn burner of a storm yet...I like to see one or two a year where we get a foot or so...so far it has not happend but I'm hopeful!:snowball:

That's better than us...I don't think we've even had an event with more than an inch this year. The bigger snows actually come later anyway for us. Just has felt weird to me.

That is good coffee! My husband and I got in a friendly conversation with, whom we thought was an employee, at Starbucks. About 20 minutes later she handed us a bag of that coffee for free and told us to enjoy. Turns out she was the manager. We sent her a thank you card for her kindness.

I hope you get better soon! Just the opposite with our weather. Our winters are usually very mild but this year has been colder than usual and actually have had a few rounds of snow.

Wll the school district here has now changed it to a one hour delay for monday instead of a two hour delay. The state board of education told them that they have have to make up the day if they took a two hour delay on monday because it no longer met the required length for a school day. It looks like the kids might get a long weekend anyways. They are calling for sleet starting thursday night and then turning to snow overnight with 4 to 8 inches total on the ground by saturday morning. I am almost out of salt so I will be braving the crowds tomorrow at the store to get salt and a few grocery items.

more snow predicted for here this weekend.. groan...

YABBA!

:hello: Yesterday, I pulled a funny scare on the mailman when he stopped to ask me how many days there were until Christmas, I told him "226". So today when I saw him, I asked him how long it took him to realize I was messing with his head by 100 days. He said as soon as he hit the steps he knew. We laughed about it. cheesy
