Tough day for the family. My Dad and my sister worked for the same company who called close to midnight in some areas last night to say they were closing their doors forever and that folks won't even be paid for the past two weeks worth of work. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of folks affected by this. My family will recover, I think, but I cannot help but worry about the rank & file of this company out there who were left high and dry without any notice this morning. We are in unbelievable times.
That is terrible. What a shock to all who worked there. I will be praying for your family and everyone else who worked there.

I'm so sorry for your horrible news. Economist say things are getting better but I don't see it. Your family will be in our prayers.

if all went right then my fiance took off from Cameroun 10minutes ago and will land at 9pm tomorrow morning.....it´s quarter to mindnight here....so it´s not too far away no more.....very exited

Hey everyone!

I am still without water at home. The main pipe to the house cracked all the way down. We have to replace it. I am sure there are other pipes that have to be replaced too but we won't know that until we get the main pipe fixed. I am hoping Hubby fixes it by the end of the week, but he's not promising. It could be a whole lot worse though. I have my Mom nearby. We come home, get some things for the next day, then go to her house and stay. I feel bad, but she says she enjoys us being there. We are paying her bills this month, because I know they are going to be higher with all of us there. That is the least we can do.

Jeff~I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and sister. I will keep them and the others that lost jobs in my prayers.

Annette~ Your dog is so cute. Does he like to be held? He looks like he does. Or maybe it is just that I would want to hold him a lot. LOL

Brad~I hope business picks up for you soon. I will keep you and your brother in my prayers, too.

Annette, your dog is so cute!
Thank-You...I got him when he was 3 months old and he has brought so much joy to my life! Here's a picture of another little sweetie we adopted from the animal shelter.

Meet....NEO NEWTON (The 1st)....*L* We always give our pets middle names.

Cute dog!!!!

Sorry to hear about the tough times Jeff & Brad..Hopefully things with turn around for the better...soon!

Well I am off to go get my little Raisin Rain. His surgery went well. I'm sure he wants his mommy (me) by now!

My Lil' Fuzz Ball!

Your cute pooch looks like my dog Ragmop when she was a puppy.

I remember when O'Malley had his surgery about four years ago and I called to check on him the next day and said, "it's O'Malley's mother calling". The receptionist laughed at that.

Good Evening Everyone !

Andy Williams is one of the best. I found an old Christmas record album of his at a garage sale. I have no intention of playing it, I just wanted to preserve it for the grandchildren.

This is one of the few places that one can say "Merry Christmas" and not have to worry about offending anyone. HEY EVERYONE . . . . . .MERRY CHRISTMAS. Wow, that felt good.

Later my friends

cheesy I remember those Andy Williams Christmas specials so well.

The two Perry Como Albums that were returned to me at work were Perry Como - Merry Christmas Album & Home for the Holidays.

The Davy Crocket album had three adventures on it.

I didn't find too many challenges over the years except for work emails and such, we're supposed to say "holidays" rather than Christmas to include other celebrations. I don't follow that for people I know are celebrating Christmas.

Hearing about the loss of jobs and partnerships makes me feel doubly blessed that not only do I have job, it's one that truly enjoy.

p.s. I'm wearing Christmas PJs. That makes me happy too. cheesy

I just had a phone conversation with my brother about the business we've operated together for years. It can't support both of us anymore, so he's going to let me run it alone. It's a weird feeling.

I hope things change for the better soon.

My grandchildren came over today while my daughter is in college. I think my 4 year old grandson is a lot like me with Christmas. He said, "grandma, Christmas is too long away." I told him, "not at my house, Christmas is everyday! Come over anytime for Christmas if you think it's too far"! I know I already mentioned this before but I thought it was cute that he said it again since the last time I seen him. Then when he left my house he said, "I love you grandma" then he shouted, "Merry Christmas"! cheesy

Awww, how cute! Kids are so precious.

I can honestly say I agree with AMD. #1 I am thankful I am employed. And #2 I love what I do.
I am also thankful O/H has a steady job. Although not this last December but the year before his work place had a huge layoff. Luckily he was only out of work for 2 weeks before getting a call to come back. It can be so stressful I know. You just gotta have faith and believe that everything will work out.
