Made///you can have our pending blizzard/////

YABBA

I am home and thawing. It was -15c at the ski hill. A bit warmer inside where I got to catch up on some reading while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate.
The group of hyper pre teens I drove there where enjoying hurling them selves down the icy hill.
Now I am going to bed because I have to get up early and finish a cake that is being picked up at 11am.

A light snow is falling as I type this.
We have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch on the ground already. It is supposed to continue all night and most of the day tomorrow.
We could get ca 5".

We are up to about 7 inches and are going to get 3-5 more tonight. Some places in town starting to lose power, but not many. However, if I'm not here tomorrow, you know why! Binger....how do you make coffee with no power?

Hey everybody! Just thought I'd swim by and wish everyone a lovely evening! It's done nothing but rain and sleet here all day and my back yard looks like a muddy swimming hole. Not a fit night out for man nor beast so my dog gets to sleep inside tonight...and so does my husband lol! :) Have a good night everyone and stay safe!

Sounds like alot of you are getting snow. Looks as if we may too. Weather report say 20% chance of snow tomorrow and 60% chance on Sunday. Just when I thought it was almost over....*L* I'm hopin next week the Ground Hog doesn't see his shadow...Not that we've had a real bad winter this year but I'm ready for spring!

So far we had a fast and furious 4 inches or so before it turned to sleet and now freezing rain..so the ground is very white but the trees are sparling and glassy..very pretty but i wouldve preferred all snow.....supposed to go back to snow and then be 4-6 more before said and done...hope everyones power stays on!

Hey everyone!

All we are getting is rain. My poor yard can't take much more. It's a mess. I hope everyone getting the icy stuff will be careful and take care. Hopefully, the power will stay on and you can just enjoy your Saturday indoors where it is warm.

Crazy busy work for me. I have some catching up to do around here.

I've decided this groundhog thing isn't working for me. If I run back inside on GroundHog Day, there will be six more weeks of winter, if I'm brave and venture out there will be an early Spring. If I have to I'll get out there and melt the stuff with a sunlamp. HaHaHoHoHeeHee!

Hey, Groundhog's Day originated in Germany where Badgers on a farmer's property would indicate the same findings the U.S. and Canada's Groundhogs do.

Here's an old English rhyme refering to Candlemas instead of the Groundhog tradition ... "If Candlemas Day be fair and bright, winter will have another flight. But if it be dark with clouds and rain, winter is gone and will not come again."

Good Morning everyone! Cold here and even got a dusting of snow last night. Very unusual for us to have had this many snowfalls even if it's just a dusting of it. We usually only get one snowfall per year.

.....Binger....how do you make coffee with no power?
They don't need any. If the electricity fails, they just grind the beans with their teeth and use cold water.

Good Morning, my Fabulously Fantastic Frozen Friends.

Twenty-Five degrees here under leaden skies with about an inch or 2 of sleet and snow on the ground. More falling as I type this and it could fall all day along with the temps.
It is supposed to get down to 11 degrees both tonight and tomorrow - cold enough to freeze Bing's coffee right in the cup! (Not that they care - they'll just push in a stick and enjoy a coffee popsicle.)

Our slippery start-of-the-weekend count:
Days to the Season: 287
Days to Christmas Day:329
Just look how close we are to single digits to the 1/4 Season Milestone! Only 12 days off, now!

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone!

Good morning friends....proud to report that our power never went off and the winter storm has moved out, sadly to other members of the board. We ended getting alot of snow and enough ice to weigh down branches. That could lead to some problems, but hopefully not.

Sitting here getting angry at the idiots who think that with ice on the ground they can turn themselves into stuntmen and their cars into weapons. First one to hit my mailbox and slide into the tree in the yard is going to have a nice surprise. My wife might attack (snicker snicker).

We just ended up with about 4 inches of snow followed by sleet and a good bit of freezing rain.......limbs actually down in the yard......never lost power but it is pretty though......

I know all you northeners think we ar nuts for going on about this, but it is fun to us!!!! I myself could use one more round and then i will be ready to start the treck toward summer......

Another cake done and picked up.

This was for an 80th birthday party. The top of the 8 is a chocolate cake, the bottom a carrot cake. The 0 is a vanilla cake.

Now I can relax the rest of the day! Going out for lunch with friends, then doing some shopping.

Christmasstar- The cake looks beautiful as usual.
