Christmas Countdown - 2010

Hi everyone! I'm shocked to see such activity this early in the year! It's wonderful!! It sure does make me feel like a slacker. I've been working that new job I got in late November. During the week, I don't even turn my personal computer on, and on the weekends, I'm trying to organize this mess I call a new house, and all of a sudden it's February and I haven't posted in over 2 months!!!

I hope you are all enjoying your winters (or summers, if any of you are in the other hemisphere!). I know I am, with all the snow we're getting here. I hope to post more often than I have been (which is not at all), but I likely won't be able to post every day.

It's cold and windy here today. It's about 31° and they say the wind will gust to 40 MPH. Wow! Some days it's nice to have a desk job. cheesy

So very close!

Not only is it cold here this morning, it is also very windy. Gusts to 40 MPH or higher are predicted. Right after so much rain, that means pine trees may be uprooting due to the soft ground. (My father's house has 25 of them within striking distance!)
We stand at 32 degrees currently.

We may get snow tonight. Very cold out right now.

My laptop computer has been at the Geek Squad since Friday and I have yet to hear what is wrong with it. :-? I can't wait to get it back. I miss it! I am using my sons and husbands comp for now.

Good morning, everyone!!

It was another beautiful, bright and shiny morning here in Ottawa. However, clear skies have past and we may be getting a bit of snow this afternoon. Not quite as much as the midwestern States, or southern Ontario, but maybe an inch or so. Interestingly enough, the grass is becoming more and more visible with each passing day. No real snow in the forecast and temperatures are predicted to be rising to above average (-4C) around the weekend. Wow! March may come a little early this year.

This pace is incredible! Binger, we're going to reach your goal by tomorrow! Such a nice feeling. Well, I should get back to work. I'm starving and it is almost lunch time. Unfortunately, I have to head to the grocery store at lunch to purchase a few things... Including a few things for my lunch. I haven't had the opportunity to stop in since last week. I've been way too busy with school and work. Seeing as I worked out yesterday and Monday, I will have time to relax tonight. I will take tonight off and then go at it three days in a row. Should be fun!

Been down that road more than once....I feel for ya. At least you get to use your husbands and sons computers. But if your like me I hate using others computers.

The wind here today is like living in Chicago...I hate it! It's not even worth trying to comb your hair it's that bad...*L* But it's 30 out and blue skies so it isn't so bad looking out from the inside. Hope you all are havin' a good morning/afternoon I suppose for others. )

Yes, it's a personal thing, lol. I love the mobility of my laptop to move it around the house, my favorites marked and just more comfortable with it. No biggie though, at least I have a 3 year warranty on it. cheesy

That's good!! I know I got a 5 year warranty with my laptop when I purchased it, good thing to because the hard drive took a dive and they sent me a new one for FREE! Thank goodness!

I wasn't even offered a 5 year warranty, the max was 3. I just got a call from them and they said my hard drive was corrupted. They confirmed it should take 2 weeks. There were a few other minor problems with it as well. I am just glad that I at least heard from them to see what was wrong and now getting something done. After this is repaired I have a little over a year left on the warranty.

We are getting ready for the snow again :-?. I have had enough!

I agree!!!!!! We got about two more inches overnight last night for a total of 5 inches here yesterday. The wind has been blowing at a steady 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 40. The weathermen said that it would stop blowing so hard at 1pm and here it is 5 hours later and it is still blowing just as hard. They are also calling for more snow friday night and sunday night.:-?
