Weather has been so nice here, but calling for rain the next 5-6 days! We got our garden out - or we have out what we can. Will plant more in a couple weeks when danger of frost is hopefully over. Our landing at the lake is open for the season again so we're pretty happy about that.
Went to Nashville about a month ago...LOVED IT!!! That's about all that's new here! Hope you all have been doing good too!

Made, out of the last 8 years, I attended 6 of the spring races in Talladega. Haven't got to go the last two years, but went six years straight before that. Talk about fun!! Makes me wish I was there!

I have always wanted to go to Talladega, Bristol, and Daytona. One of these years I will actually get to do it. It looks like junior is going to race a #3 car in the nationwide race in july at daytona. It is going to be a tribute car for Dale Sr. getting in the hall of fame. cheesy

Another late night watching hockey the Pittsburgh Penguins lost in triple overtime to the Ottawa Senators so I am a little down about that at the moment. Went to a travel agent today to make plans for our boys first trip to Walt Disney World in Spring/Summer 2012 but first of all we got an agent who was about 155 years old and had as much personality as a cucumber, we learned we can't book this early, and the woman made what should have been an exciting experience for us turn it into what seemed like a hassle for her. Near the end of this dreadful experience a friend of hers walked in, she handed us the sheet of paper and basically told it to add it up ourselves and that will be the estimate of our trip, and went and talked to her friend. How professional was that. We will NOT be dealing with that company again, because we left feeling upset and sad. It should have been a fun and exciting time but she ruined it for us. We cannot book until 6-8 months before we go so we have some time to wait. Other than that it was a good day, hope you all had a good Thursday.

you need to go back there and talk to the manager and let him / her know that happened. It is upsetting to get a person that could not care less about their job (or perhaps she felt you where wasting her time as she would not be getting any commission out of this visit?) Regardless, she should not have treated you that way.

Got up this morning and my phone was not working, cable was not working and Internet was not working. (of course, I was not working yet ether, but that's another story!) Of course the first thought is "Did I pay my bill?".....paid. So I called on my cell phone (mistake, since I used up all my minutes doing so!) Found out there was a problem in the area and no one had these services. :-?
But, as you can see, it is all working now.

I love me some Friday! Gonna be a good one today! But tonight and tomorrow, the weather man is saying "WATCH OUT!" They say severe thunderstorms that move into the area WILL turn into significant weather events.....kinda makes me shudder. Anyways, I love a good storm, but I don't love a good significant weather event. Ugh! Oh well, I will go buy the wife and I something to eat tonight and I will cook. Tomorrow, she is going to study while I cook more. I really like to work in the yard and cook, but looks like working in the yard is out at the moment.

Well, now! Just look how close we are getting to the 200-day Season window.
Not to mention that we are now under half a week away from the 1/3 mark to Christmas Day.
Then, once those milestones have passed, we will be under 3 weeks away from the half way Season mark.

Friday!! Well, I guess I should not be too excited as I will be spending all of my day in the library. I think I may go to the gym for an hour or so beforehand, however. That count is looking awfully close to a milestone. Under half a week? After the weekend, it will be almost here!!
Welcome back, Brad. Glad to hear your son enjoyed himself at space camp. I lived in dorms for my first year at college, and I entirely agree with you. They are certainly not for me. I'd much rather have a 6.5 hour drive over a 9.5 hour drive, too. That's ridiculous!
From the inside, it looks absolutely beautiful outside. The sun is shining and it is very clear. The temperature is about 7C (45F) and should climb to 14C (57F) today. Not bad!! Well, I really need to get dressed and hit the gym before working on my essay. Only a few more days to finish at least 12 pages. Must focus!! At least I enjoy my topic!

I don't watch the news too often, too depressing. I did have it on yesterday and had enough so I popped in A Christmas Story! Some good humor and gave me the good Christmas feeling. My son, who really never understood why I make a big fuss about Christmas and wonders why I watch Christmas stuff all the time, heard the movie on and came in and watched it with me. Maybe that now he is a young man he is starting to come around a bit and appreciating it more. All through his teens I know he thought mom was a nerd about Christmas. Yay for Christmas nerds! This past Christmas he joined me quite a bit in watching Christmas movies and shows just like he did when he was a kid.
My husband and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary tomorrow! I can't wait!
