Today was the last day of school, and they had an assembly with awards. Jacob got an Honor Roll trophy and the English medallion. Elizabeth got an Honor Roll Trophy and a Citizenship medallion (for being the most helpful all year). I so proud of both of them!

Yet another weekend has arrived.
And with it has come the rain, at least around here. Lots of it is in the forecast for the next 4-5 days at least, although it is not currently falling.
We stand at 69 degrees under overcast skies (or over undercast skies, depending on your elevation).

Our count continues its inexorable advance:
Days to the Season: 175
Days to Christmas Day: 217
And we are now under 2 1/2 weeks away from our next Milestone, the 200-day Christmas Day window.
Onward, ever onward we move!

MsChristmas, sounds like the trip was, um, what's the word.....GREAT! I got to go to Disney with a baseball team one time and it was fantastic! Good for you.!

Sorry about the couple of days being absent. This year is on the verge of wrapping up and there are banquets and ceremonies that I have to attend. Last night, however, I simply fell asleep after playing in the yard yesterday afternoon. Boy, it sure was fun, though. As a matter of fact, I'm off to do it again!

Well, we finally found Saturday after a week of looking for it. Hope you enjoy your catch!

Auntie - It may pass Ottawa, at least. If anything, it will be a small amount. As for no blackflies, there were plenty of mosquitoes out on Tuesday and Thursday. I must have received a dozen bites. I hate those pesky things! I can deal with one day of a bit of rain for this long weekend. Tomorrow is BBQ day and it already looks to be a perfect one!
