Going to spend the day at a water park with a busload of kids from our church day camp. Is supposed to be another hot one here so it will be nice to have fun in the water!

Have a funtabulous day everyone! cheesy

Sounds like a great way to spend a hot day!!!!!

Well, my cable has been out for a couple of days and the cable service company says there are no other reports out in my area. Must be in my lines.
The repairman is expected here any minute.

I hope they get it fixed!!!!!! Mine has been going crazy all morning. I keep losing all of my channels and my internet keeps going out. It seems the hotter it gets the more problems I have with it.

My Husband bought me a pumpkin muffin from Panera bread this morning. It is so delicious and was a pleasant surprise that they have pumpkin already...just another sign that Fall isnt too far away!

That was sweet of him!!!!cheesy

Guess what I saw yesterday?!?! A house near my parents' all decked out for Christmas - lights on and all! And it's not a house that leaves the lights up year-round, so I couldn't help but think they were celebrating Christmas in July!!!! It made me soooo excited! My mom laughed at me when I told her how cool I thought it was! :)

That would be cool to see!!!!!! I know it would bring a big smile to my facecheesy

I had a very long night. My chihuahua kept making a coughing gagging sound, he does that sometimes but this one wouldn't let up. He sleeps in bed with us but when he would start coughing he would jump off the bed onto the floor. Maybe he is trying to keep from waking us up? Lol. I kept getting up in the middle of the night and sit with him and rub his back, it helped calm it down and he was able to get back to sleep for a little while. Then it would start back up and I would be back on the floor with him rubbing his back again. He had about 4 episodes of it last night. He is just fine now and seems happy! The only thing I can think of is that I try to treat their flea problem with chemical free products and NOTHING is working. I have been trying for 3 months but the fleas are taking over. I gave in yesterday and put Frontline on him and this started up. I am thinking he had a reaction to it.

I am sorry to hear that you had a rough night but I am glad that he is doing better this morning!!!!!!

Also here is a nice fall pic from the same date to look at. Just print it up and paste it over your window and POOF its fall..hah

I might just have to try that!!!!!! Thanks for the great pic!!!

Well I am off to a slow start today. I slept into 9am and then I still had a hard time dragging myself out of bed. I am just now finally starting to get some energy. I need to clean my bathroom today and do some laundry. There is no nascar racce this weekend so I will probably watch a little golf. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a Chihuahua too, named Ivy. I don't know if this is a possibility, but Ivy has choking episodes too. With her it is her teeth. She needs a couple pulled but she is 12 and I am scared for her. She has also had major surgery on her back twice. Could it be your baby's teeth ?? I hope he is okay now. There is nothing more distressing than a furbaby in distress because they cannot tell you what is the matter........Hope everything gets better !!

He has had these episodes since I got him as a puppy at 7 months old. The first time it happened it scared me to death! It didn't last long and usualy doesn't. I took him to the vet and he checked out ok and they told me chihuahuas can do this sometimes. Something with their throats, I forgot exactly what. My other chihuahua does the same. With the episode last night was worse than the usual and he wouldn't stop until I rubbed his back. He had it like this one other time where it didn't let up, I took him to the vet and it was an allergic reaction to something. They put him on antihistimine and then he was fine after that. That is why I thought it might be the Frontline. He is doing fantastic today, hyper and happy! I will keep in mind what you mentioned though in case it happens again. Thanks!

Just ordered some Blue Man Group tix.. Christmas shopping almost done!

No Problem Christmasaholic !!! I love Chihuahuas, don't you ?? I think they are the SWEETEST little creatures. Our Ivy has had 2 major operations on her back, ruptured discs twice and was paralyzed both times briefly......very SCARY...........Sure hope she does not have any more problems with that !!

Have a restful day Made!

Thanks!!!! I was getting ready to go out and sit on the front porch for awhile and talk with my neighbor but I decide that I might just melt so I came back in. That is the one bad thing about my apartment building. There is nothing in front of it to block the sun. So from 2pm until the sun goes down it is just bakes everyhting. It is nice in the winter but it sucks in the summer. My neighbor planted a little tree out there a couple of years ago and I wish that it would just hurry up and grow. It would definitely help make it a whole lot nicer in the summer.

Yes, they are precious! When I got him I wasn't searching for a pure bred dog. At the time I was living in apartments with a 15 lb. limit on dogs on the property. I was calling rescue groups and told them any dog under that limit. I ended up with a chihuahua then a year and half later a retired breeding female that happened to be his aunt. They were not abused dogs, very well taken care of. The lady who owned them decided this was not what she wanted to do. The female dog had a couple of litters and the owner decided against breeding, had her fixed and looked for permanent homes for the dogs. I love them and they are both very devoted to me as much as I am to them!

Funny story here but before I got my chihuahuas I almost adopted a blind cocker spaniel. When my son, who was 9 at the time, told his dad that we might get a blind dog. His dad didn't know what he was talking about and didn't know I was looking to adopt, he thought my son was out to adopt a dog. He then told my son that his room was a mess and how on earth can you take care of the dog?! My son said, "the dog is blind, he can't see my room." I bursted out laughing, he missed the whole point. I explained to him, "if you can't take care of the messy room, how can you take care of the dog?" Anyway, it got straightened out that I wanted the dog and we all decided on getting one. The blind dog found a home and I was blessed to get my 2 chihuahuas. Life would not be the same without them!

I am so sorry what you have gone through with your babies. I get so worried over every little thing with my dogs.

Thank you so much !! You are so wonderful to have adopted one who could not see. You have such a big heart !!! Thank you for your kind comments about my furkids. They are really a BIG, no HUGE part of my happiness and Ivy is doing just great I call her our "$6,000 Chihuahua" !!!. She walks and runs and plays and you would never know she was EVER paralyzed !!

Have a great night and a great weekend !! Give that baby a kiss for me !!!

 It is distressing when there is something wrong with our pups! They are our children through and through! Last year my Mercedes (my Roddi) got really sick. After getting tests done, it was discovered that she has kidney disease! The vet said she has 3 months or 3 years to live (depending on how well she does on meds) Well...you can imagine that I completely fell apart! I thought she was going to die. But - the medication she is on (for the rest of her life) and the special low protein diet she is on is doing the trick! She just got blood work done a couple of months ago and the vet said to keep doing what we are doing for her - because she is doing so well!

All this Fall talk is making me post a picture from last year 10/10/2009.

 What an adorable picture, Undrtakr!!! :rudolph:

Its FRIDAY! My Husband bought me a pumpkin muffin from Panera bread this morning. It is so delicious and was a pleasant surprise that they have pumpkin already...just another sign that Fall isnt too far away! Its only me and 1 other girl at the office today so hopefully the day will go by pretty fast. Have a great Friday!

:hello: That was very sweet of your husband! I hope your day went fast!

Side note...I just learned that I can "multi quote".

Good evening all.

My son is doing well, he made it through the day with no Tylenol, and said he had no pain. He is still to rest most of the day, but went outside for an hour and went on his swing.

So happy to hear that your son is doing well!!! :rudolph:
