Hey all!! I have been away too long & I have missed you all! I had a post all ready to send last week & I'm not sure what happened but I got side tracked & never got it sent!

Hope you are all starting to enjoy the cooler temps? It has ben SO nice here lately - cool in the mornings & evenings - love it!! Supposed to get up to 93 though tomorrow! I'm not going to complain but I sure am enjoying the cooler temps!

I am off to a cook out at my brothers house, but I am going to do my best to check in with you all much more often. The greatest time of the year is just beginning! YIPPEE!!!

Good evening, everyone.

I write this as I am cooking supper. I have some perogies and potatoes on the go along with the rest of a roast that I made on Saturday. I am excited! Great to see that we are more than halfway through the 50s to Days to the Christmas Season!

Hopefully everyone enjoyed their weekend and work was not too hard to get back to. At least we are another week closer to Christmas. And, of course, this week not only brings us into fall, but also three months until Christmas. I think I may have to acquire a Christmas film and watch in celebration of the 25th. My movies are all back in Ottawa. If anyone has a suggestion, I would be glad to see if I can find it. Of course, I have many favourites, but maybe there is something out there I have not yet seen that I should.

Anyway, supper is ready. Have a great evening, everyone!

Go to your local video store and rent one!
Libraries usually have movies you can borrow for free.
Raid your neighbours videos (DVD's).
Check out the thrift stores, videos are really cheap there now that they are on the way out.
Check on line and see if there is a website where you can watch one.

Well not a great Monday today....hubby had an accident at work that required several sitches under his eye. Thankfully his eye is fine but he is going to have a shiner for a while. I think his pride is hurt more.... Well just got done paying bills Yuck!!!! Night all.

Just so you know, my grandparents went through the same thing a number of years ago. It was tough on the family, but now everything is so much better because everyone is happy.

A few years after that, my folks went through the same thing and it lasted about two months. Circle the wagons, so to speak. Surround yourself with loved ones, pray, and know that in the end things work out for the better. It's going to be tough, but you have those wonderful angels to see everyday and what is better than that? Stay strong. I'm pulling for you.

Good Morning MMC!!

Back to work for me today, Had a long weekend off, wish I'd have booked off a few more days now ha!!
Hoping to start buying some gifts soon, every year I say this though and most of the time I leave it until the last minute! I know what the children want, My middle daughter who will be 5 just before christmas keeps telling me she wants santa to bring her some new peppa pig playsets!! So at least i know what to buy for her!

Even though its still in the 90's here in TN, it appears by Sunday we should finally be hitting the 80's and Monday 79. Well its a start and hopefully it will get here so i can leave the windows open all night and day to get the fresh crisp air and breeze. We have an overcast morning here today but still no predicted rain.
Currently, it is exactly 70 degrees without a trace of wind.
Excellent walking (or driving) weather.

Just over half a week off now from our next Milestone, the 3/4 mark to Christmas Day 2010.
Really moving right on in there, now!

In not so great news.. my parents told us yesterday they are separating. I am still in a bit of shock but what can ya do...?

I'm sorry to hear that. My parents were very much in love till my daddy passed away 5 years ago. I can't imagine how you must feel. :sad:

I have had a very lazy day. I am tired from the long day yesterday.

I did make some pumpkin custard today and listened to some Christmas music. Productive Holiday time!

I wish I were that creative! But I did buy a "Mulled Cider"-scented candle for my desk over the weekend.

What is "mulled" cider, anyways?:? Who knows, but it smells great!

No, the only time he will miss is when he visits the workmans comp doctors for the follow up visits. Thankfully the injury is not affecting his vision and he is a supervisor so he usually works in his office. He was helping some temp workers when the accident happened.

Sorry to hear about that. I know how you feel. My parents sepeated/divorced years ago when I was in high school and then I watched inlaws go through a sepration/divorce. It's terrible when that happens.

Was missing Christmas so much yesterday that we started getting the inflatables out and put them up and washed them off. Gonna do a few more today. If this gets bad enough we may even go ahead and check all of the Christmas lights.
