Christmas Countdown - 2010

Goooooooood Morning MMC people!

I had a VERY BUSY day yesterday. The kids came over yesterday and the weather was so nice that we went outside and I let my grandson ride his bike. It has been so hot that he has not got to ride it for awhile. He got on it and said, "how did my bike get smaller"? Lolll! It's been so long that he has been on it that he has grown!

When my older grandson got out of school we headed to the park for a couple of hours. When my daughter got off work and went home her electricity was out. I already had the kids over for 10 1/2 hours then they stayed with me another hour so she could pack up a few things to stay the night. I rushed around getting beds ready but when her husband got off work they decided to stay at a hotel. My daughter and grandkids will come over for a little while today until it comes back on.

Even though I have had the kids all week I am glad they are coming over. I never get the chance to visit with my daughter. It will be good to have her here for the day! cheesy

Awwwwww...isn't being a grandparent the BEST! I cannot wait to see Emma when I get home! See...you got me excited all over again!
 
Good Afternoon to my Wonderful Christmas Pals,

I have been so lazy with getting on the boards recently. I am getting so antsy that the season is almost here. So much has been happening the last week or so and I can't seem to catch up. But, its good to be able to come here and enjoy all the sights and sounds of the season. I see the Christmas Blossom thread has started. The ornament exchange is progressing. There are some new features on the boards for platinum members. My Oh My, things are moving along so fast and its GREAT. Well at least I can count on it being Christmas all year long on here!!! And that's what I love about this place.

I haven't had any sightings in my area. No trees are up in stores, no displays, no decorations.....like Yukon Cornelius says "Nuttin". I am getting kinda bummed out about it. I know many people like halloween, but I can't wait for it to come and go. I think the stores OVERSTOCKED this year for halloween and they refuse to have Christmas items overshawdow it in hopes that people will focus on halloween. Maybe I am being too extreme, but that's what it feels like when you dont see a single bell, bough, or holly!! I mean, I have been waiting and waiting patiently. And now I feel its time and I am here in South Jersey on my Christmas bandwagon riding SOLO !!!!

Ok I am done ranting....please forgive me......I shall step down from my soap box now!! I hope everyone has a DELIGHTFUL DAY and a WONDERFUL Weekend.

Nothing to forgive you for !! I know what you mean. I am seeing lots of Halloween stuff this year where I don't recall seeing it before. But I am lucky as I have seen quite a bit of Christmas stuff popping up !!
 



first 3 cakes are done and picked up
now I can relax for a few hours then I start baking the next two that are for Saturday and Sunday pick ups.!

Well, we got a LOT of rain... our (unfinished) basement is veryyyy wet, but thankfully there are no small streams running through it this AM, lol! (It's our first big rainstorm in this house). Everything is up high so nothing was damaged. I'll have to go down later and sweep the water into the drain and bleach it. That dehumidifier is really working hard these past few days!

I am glad to hear that nothing got damaged even though your basement got wet.

Good Afternoon everyone.... another busy week and busier weekend on hand. Lastnight our smelled sooo good, my daughter wanted a pumpkin pie for her birthday today so I made the pie last night. Made me crave the holiday season even more.
Tonight we are off to take the kids to dinner and a stroll around the mall. Planning on decorating tomorrow and then our daughters b-day party is Sunday.

Welcome to October Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I had to babysit my 2 nieces this morning for a couple of hours. I took a bunch of christmas coloring pages that I printed off the computer with me and we colored the whole time I was there. It was a fun time. This afternoon I have been cleaning the apartment and doing laundry. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
