Christmas Countdown - 2010

There is a mystery at our house. We cleaned up the kitchen and left a few dishes to dry while the dishwasher did the rest. This morning when we went to put away the dishes, we could not find the lid to my biggest crockpot, the lid to one of smaller crockpots and the bases to the smaller crockpot and one of the medium ones!! My husband and I have looked everywhere! I guess I will be calling some of our guests and see if they put them away somewhere! Only the Shadow knows!

Happened to us once before too. Turned out to be a ruse by my wife to get a new crockpot.

The mystery is solved. My husband took me to breakfast because he was so bewildered about the crockpots. At Denny's I told him I was going through all our crockpot boxes because those crockpot parts did not just walk away and no one really knew where we stored them anyway. So we just got back and the first box I picked up felt too light to house all the crockpot stuff. So did the second box. My husband looked so sheepish when he realized what he had done!!! Case solved. Man, I should work for CSI!!!

Okay - I didn't understand one word of that. You husband took you to breakfast because he's bewildered by crockpots?? You went through the boxes because the parts don't walk away and nobody knows where you store them?? The boxes were light and your husband looked sheepish when he realised what he'd done - WHAT DID HE DO????!!!!!!!!!!

My husband was bewildered about the crockpots and we spent much of the morning looking everywhere, and I mean everywhere. So instead of cooking breakfast for me, like he had planned, he took me to breakfast. I had a brain fart and told him I was going through all the crockpot boxes. He kept telling me that he packed up the crockpots and there were no additional boxes. I KNEW we didn't have two crockpots that were without the boxes. So, I went through the boxes, and sure enough, he had put the boxes away without all the "pieces," but thinking all the pieces were there. Does this help???
