Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!! It is going to be a cold day here with high of only 28 today. That is almost 20 degrees below normal for this time of year and it is supposed to stay that way all week. I don't have much planned for today. Most of my day will be spent watching football. I also want to get some of my ingredients organized so I can start my candy making this week. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon! I hope everyone is having a great day!!

Get well soon, Brad!

Italian herb chicken is in the crockpot. I will make Basmati rice to go with it, so I think dinner will be good tonight. My husband and I have a memorial service to go to this afternoon, so I will talk later--I hope! Have a great afternoon.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I'm still sick, doggone it, but I got out yesterday with the electrician and got our new city pole-mounted Christmas lights hung! Yay! (I put Rudolph on the pole in front of our house! :rudolph:) The power co. still has to do the final wiring Monday, then I'll take some pics and post them.

I plan to try to stay inside for the day today and get over this...whatever it is.

I hope you all have a great day!cheesy

Brad I hope you are well soon !!!

We are back from the memorial service. This is a yearly event at the Elks Lodge. It is a ceremony where we read the names of all the deceased members and where "we write their faults upon the sand and their names upon the tablets of Love and Memory." Very touching. We also give two gorgeous poinsettias to two of the widows attending. Afterwards, we have simple refreshments. Every year, the Elk who is in charge of the refreshments gives me the leftovers to take to my classroom. So tomorrow, like every year for several years, my kiddos get to have a "party" at school. He also gives me the punch! So, tomorrow should be a great day at school! I hope everyone had a great day!

CanineMom,
It is hard to go on without someone, but I have confidence that you will prevail. Our tortoise Calico is getting old, too; so I am not looking forward to the day when she will no longer be with us. I was reading earlier today (yes, I got up early) in my scrapbooking magazine, and there was an article called "Creativity Heals." Here's a quote from the article: "Scrapbooking can help you heal during those times when you've suffered a loss, whether it be the loss of a friend, family member, pet, home, job or anything else you care about. Photographing objects and places that remind you what or who you lost is one outlet for your feelings as you grieve...Collect your photos and thoughts together on a layout or other form of artistic creation, making something you can turn to for comfort later when other support systems may be unavailable." The magazine also listed a website for more information on how to use scrapbooking to help through the healing process: creatingkeepsakes.com/articles/Creativity_Heals_2010
Thinking of you in you special loss.

Sorry about the Colts, Made. We had the game on at work but I could not watch the whole game. I came home just in time for overtime! What a game!

Now I am sitting here with Wayne watching his Ravens play. cheesy

Not many plans today, other than lounging around relaxing and watching football, big game tonight Steelers vs. Ravens (Go Steelers!

Ahh! I see you are watching the game too! =)
Well, I'm still sick,
Get well soon!
Good morning everyone! I'm gonna have a busy day today. I have to clean my disastrous room, do all my homework (which includes a project and reading pretty much a whole book so I've been procrastinating), and right now I'm babysitting. It's hard to get in the Christmas spirit with all this stress from school! I have finals next week (i think) then CHRISTMAS BREAK!!
I hope you guys are all doing well!!
Maybe you need to go to one of your "body bashing" concerts to de-stress! :D (that was you who went to one? I didn't want to search through the threads to make sure it was you, lol)

In all seriousness, I hope everything gets better for you. =)
