Christmas Countdown - 2010

Seawaters, since I am a newbie, I don't understand all the rules of the forum. Is 16,000 significant in the Christmas Countdown? There are alot of things I haven't figured out on the forum yet...
In 2007 we had 1,956 post for the year
In 2008 there was 5,102 for the year
Then in 2009 we went up to 8,230 posts for the year
Hitting the 16,000 mark this year will almost double what was posted last year, an amazing rate of growth!
This is becoming a very popular place to hang out!

Well friends, we just arrived at the hotel across the street from the airport we are leaving from in the morning. Our flight is the first one out (at least it's earlier enough) and I'm about to head to bed. I'm pretty excited!
I read where the resort we are staying at has free wi-fi in certain spots, so I'm hoping to be able to post at least once a day. If not, I will be back bright and early on Jan. 2nd. If I can't post, I will see you then. With that being said, thank you for a wonderful year and a wonderful season. This is my 2nd Christmas here and this website has brightened my season AND each day of the year. I look forward to many more with you.

yikes! Daughter having a bath and suddenly there is water coming through the ceiling by the steps again! I thought that had been fixed. It was the overflow pipe not being connected properly that was the problem before, I sure hope that is all it is again as it is an easy fix. Only now I think they are going to have to replace a part of the ceiling too.
Hope it's affordable to get fixed :/

SNOOWWWWW! We got about 7 or so inches, I think? The city got more. It's so pretty outside - and they PLOW OUR STREET!!! In the city, we never ever got plowed so we'd be car-less for days.. It's also sooo windy so I think we'll be inside today. Hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream, mmm!!!
I see they posponed the Eagles game in Philadelphia because of the snow. I don't think that has ever happened before, maybe the kick off moved to later in the day, but not posponed for a couple of days.
Good Morning .... we got less snow then what was orginally called for but enough that I got to stay home from work today. We got about 4 inches but it is soooo windy here. Will have to go outside later and fix some of the Christmas decorations as some of them have a lean going on.
Looks like a good day to curl up on the sofa and watch Christmas movies today.

Waking up to weather in the upper 20's. It will reach a high of 50 today and by Thursday it will be 74 degrees!

Good Morning, Post-Christmas Friends.
Still a fantastic winter wonderland here with lots of beautiful snow left.
(And at a shivery 25 degrees, not much melting will occur.)
This snow was interesting. Six inches thick on the yards and bushes but hardly any on the roads.
I suppose most fell when the air temperature was just barely below freezing such that ground heat melted most of the street snow as it fell.
Regardless, driving was not impaired so we could get out and see the beautiful winter sights!
(Also, the nieces could get out to go shopping!!)
Well, the count goes on!
No, not the Season/Christmas count which is taking a one week break, but rather the thread post count. It is continuing to explode beyond my wildest dreams!
What a challenge for 2011 to better it! Are we up to the task?
