Things are not going well here, yesterday had quite a setback. i feel awful. Yesterday we did however got our tree and decorated for christmas, which made me feel better since i am convinced he will be okay by christmas, and we will celebrate big time then, so he will feel better...

Still trying to get my "sea legs" here this afternoon. Haven't had any coffee yet today but that is going to change soon !! I will also have tea in honor of our own dear Crown !!

Not a lot going on here. My husband has a miserable cold. I feel really bad for him. I am also trying very hard not to get it. I think maybe I should take a bath in hand sanitizer !

Work in about 2 hours. I am going to DVR the Michael Buble Christmas special that is on tonight !! I watched the new Prep and Landing special and I am a little disappointed in it but I am going to watch it again to see if I like it any better.

Good afternoon everyone! It's shaping up to be a busy week for me. Last night Mom and I took a ride to Gamber to visit our hairstylist friend. It's about an hour's trip, and we saw lots of good Christmas lights. Plus, we got to have dinner out, and shopped at the cutest little card and gift store you ever saw. Tonight Mom and I are going to our Church to help put up the Christmas tree and nativity set. Tomorrow I'm going to my Sister's Church to help them make palm trees for their "Christmas in Hawaii" dance (for the church teens). We tried one last week and they're not hard to make, but we need many of them. Thursday we have Advent services back at my Church. Friday is a Christmas Dinner at my Sister's Church. Saturday I'm at my Church again to do some music planning for the choir. And Sunday I have a Church service and three concerts to play. Wow! At least this busy week is earlier in the month, and I can relax a little next week-maybe. At least I won't be bored!

I had a doctor appointment earlier, so I just got into work a little while ago and am very behind. Yikes. Just having a quick bite, and back to the pile of paperwork on my desk! Ugh...

Does anyone have any new Hallmark Christmas movies to recommend? Or ones they recommend to skip? My dvr is full, and I need to delete some before anything else can record...decisions, decisions...

I feel a little behind in Christmas activities this year, too. Kind of makes me sad. Anyone else feeling that way? I haven't even begun my family & friend's Christmas cards, haven't done much baking, movie watching, craft shows, trips to the mountain, etc. (all my usual traditions) and we're @ 19 days away from the big day! I hope life slows down a bit so we can enjoy the season. This year just seems a lot busier than most.

Hello again!

I have been so busy with finals that I haven't had time to post on MMC. Now that's tragic!! :O But next week is my last week of finals. I plan to come on more after that. I can't not post on the merriest website on the internet during the Christmas season! :razz:

I am so sentimental and mussy sometimes. I have my dads old sweater, the one that he wore a lot, and he is seen wearing it in many pictures. Everyone in the family talks about it from time to time. So, I decided this year as a special gift to everyone, I am going to make ornaments out of it. (and a couch cushion for mom since she never decorates anymore)
Anyway, I am having such a hard time making the first cut to start. I put the sweater on and started crying. Dad has been gone for 14 years now, but sometimes I just miss him so much.
I know sharing the sweater with the family will really bless everyone, and I will do it, it is just a tad hard to get started.

good morning, i am so slack, i've only been posting 1x a day. TELL ME WHERE THE TIME GOES!!! it was slow @ work yesterday so i went to get my hair done, ya' know us women have to get those cuts & colors!! really enjoyed it but why does it seem i always think of all i have to do & feel as though i'm wasting my time just sitting there? for once i'd love to sit there && enjoy it more.

Good Morning MMC!

finished baking parts for 5 gingerbread houses last night, 11- 8" cakes yesterday morning. 3 dozen cookies in the afternoon. This morning mixed up the gingerbread house cement. Now to start packing it all up. Gingerbread this morning and cakes this afternoon. I like teaching, but if I do it on my own the classes will be longer so every one is not so rushed! (especially me!)

Good morning all... Its a rainy dayhere.. Wish it was SNOW but that is not what they are calling for. It's finally starting to feel like Christmas to me... Finished decorating this past weekend and started on my wrapping. Will start on the baking this weekend!!
We all know that kids perspective of things is far different then an adults and it becomes really obvious at Christmastime.... my kids are like: man we still have to WAIT 2 1/2 weeks til Christmas!!! Me on the other hand is Like: crap I ONLY have 2 1/2 weeks to get everything done... LOL!!!

Very cold here, was in the 20s last night, and our heater wasn't working. Somebody has been out twice to fix it, and it works and then it doesn't work. It is working right now, but it wasn't last night, I slept in my robe last night. We go from a record breaking summer of total days over 100 degrees to freezing our you know whats off.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It's going to be a cool day here in central Indy. My youngest niece will be here any minute for me to babysit for a couple of hours. Then I have to run to the store to get some salt before we get our first real snow of Friday. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep! Snow-in-Texas and I slept with no heat and it was cold!!! You know what? I will take the freezing temperatures without heat over the hot summer we had with air conditioning! Summer was horrible!

Good morning,

Work beckons in 90 minutes, just doing my daily catch up. It is raining here right now, it was almost 60*F here yesterday, tonight they are calling for anywhere between a dusting to 5 inches of snow, what crazy weather. I just want it to start staying cold and a little snow on the ground for Christmas. I am watching a DVD I got for free back in the summer called "In Search of Santa Claus" it is a documentary from the Smithsonion Channel. It really goes in depth about St. Nicholas of Myra all the way through Santa Claus, very interesting, and great for anyone who loves the history of Santa.

I'm with you on that. I hate hot weather. You can always but more clothes on but you can only take so much off...
