Christmas Countdown - 2011

good evening everyone
Been a few days since i posted as i have been busy busy busy
Have all decor done. shop window. inside and outside of house and even some christmas shopping done
Hoping this finds you all in good christmassy cheer. and hope all is well with your selves
Managed to get my outdoot lights lit for saturday night. think it looks pretty good think it was worth all the bother.. but tonight the wind is really bad. so am hoping they is not damage to them in the morning.
The weather over there is a mixture of snow. rain. frost. and wind
Went shopping on monday and got a lot of party food in so that end is done. got some extra as this year for the work party they are coming to my house for treats and a few drinks and then we are going to a hotel in town
Last year. i took then all for a 3 course meal and never again as one complained is was not nice .another eat that much she was sick. the place we went to there was not a lot of christmas cheer in it.
So this year i said it wood be different.
Have been really busy this week. pallets are coming in most days now and the shop is really busy. every night am ready for sleeping at 9 o clock
Hopefully this weekend and going to get another bit of christmas shopping done. gonna get the scooby and sasha there presents and the parrots some new toys and treats from santa..

Good evening, Christmas family !

Yesterday with my sister was FANTASTIC !! It was the perfect day. We went shopping and of course, some pretty madcap stuff happened with that then we went back to her house and she, my brother-in-law, Wes and myself all went to dinner at a wonderful Mexican place. The food was so good. Wes is 100% back to himself again - Thank God. It was so good to hear him laugh. He told some stories about his surgery and the outcome that, though they were actually serious, were so comical the way he told them. My sister and I were both in "stiches" ourselves just listening to him !

After dinner, back to my sister's house for decorating the tree !! We both had a wonderful time choosing the ornaments and seeing them after they had been put away for a year ! I can never remember what she has from one year to the next so it was double amazing !

After the decorating we settled down on the hide-a-bed where I would sleep and watched Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince togehter. We talked and talked and laughed. It was so wonderful beyond words. Plus she had never heard Susan Boyle so on my recommendation she bought Susan's Christmas album.....She was very impressed.

I hope all are well here. I am so tired tonight I tried to read all the posts but I didn't make it. I sincerely hope and pray all are well.

And of course my mmc friends as well.
Will try and keep in touch better from now on and will get some photos posted of my lights and so on
Gonna try and get back to sleep. well maybe have another cuppa 1st. i have been sleeping from 11 and is 3am now the wind woke me but it seems to be calmed down a bit now.
my partner is in a study mode as he cant figure what to get me as a main present he has lots of smaller things . but thats my fault
1st i wanted a new laptop but got my currant one cleaned and restared so that was ok. then i wanted a designer coat but the sizes are funny and as it wood have to be bought over the internet it wood be to much money for something that might not fit. then it was the new iphone4s and now its not as i only reason i wanted it was because you can speak to it. wood save me texting. as i hate texting. but thought that was the only reason i wanted it so that went out the door as well
Now he keeps saying what am i gonna get you. and i keep saying. there is nthing i really want as i feel in my heart i have everything i could want.
I have always said that as long as everything within my home is ok am happy. but he is not taking that as a answer..
This post was mean to be 2 lines long.lol
As i said hope everyone. is good and all is well with you all .

Heck, we are just moments away from 500,000 now! (499,954)

There are a couple of newer Hallmark movies I really like. One is Farewell Mr. Kringle. Another is Christmas In Canaan !! xo

Hello again!

I have been so busy with finals that I haven't had time to post on MMC. Now that's tragic!! :O But next week is my last week of finals. I plan to come on more after that. I can't not post on the merriest website on the internet during the Christmas season!

I am so sentimental and mussy sometimes. I have my dads old sweater, the one that he wore a lot, and he is seen wearing it in many pictures. Everyone in the family talks about it from time to time. So, I decided this year as a special gift to everyone, I am going to make ornaments out of it. (and a couch cushion for mom since she never decorates anymore)
Anyway, I am having such a hard time making the first cut to start. I put the sweater on and started crying. Dad has been gone for 14 years now, but sometimes I just miss him so much.
I know sharing the sweater with the family will really bless everyone, and I will do it, it is just a tad hard to get started.

I totally understand, Christmasstar. My mom has been gone 13 years. I have some of her clothes and slippers and things of that sort. Even though I am not making gifts of them, I can't bear to part with them...xo ((HUGS)) to you xo

Not so bad as all that, I guess ... just the blues and a bunch of little frustrations. Nothing that a little patience and hope won't mend. I'm glad you're all here when I have a bad day.

I just finished watching Michael Buble's Christmas special. I really liked it a lot. That kid can really sing and what a cutie !!

Does anyone know how long a person with a cold is considerd contagious ?? Thank goodness I have my trusty hand sanitizer close by.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes for my husband. I just hate to see anyone suffer.

I hear that we may actually get some snow this week. That would be so nice and Christmassy. Just the shot in the arm I need I think !
