Christmas Countdown - 2011

We are still without heat. The repair guy came by last night and could not getting working. He has to replace a part that he just bought for it because it's not functioning properly. I feel bad for this guy because he has been out here every night and gets it working but then it goes out after he leaves.

I am coming down with that cold that the family has passed around for a month. I thought I dodged it but woke up with a sore throat. Ugh! It don't matter because I have Christmas to cheer me up! =)

I have been so busy! I have managed to pop in on here and read a few things but just cannot catch up on the countdown. Hopefully I can today but I have a lot to do!

Good Morning friends! I hope all is well with everyone today. Does anyone else have a problem with their cat ripping apart their Christmas tree? I caught him sitting in it like a bird looking out the front window. It was kind of funny but it also upsets me that he keeps mashing down the tree limbs and knocking off the ornaments. Any advice would be great! Have a great day everyone! :treeguy:

I am having the same problem, I have to redo the tree before Christmas Eve. My next thought is getting a very sharp blue spruce live tree, that will teach them. cheesy

turn your oven on and put a chair in front of the open door....adds a surprising amount of heat!

Also try boiling a pot or 2 of water, it will bring your temps up.

Late check-in tonight, busy day here. I am feeling a bit flustered so far this Christmas season shopping wise, the first gift I ordered for my wife was sent in its original packaging and she got home first and saw what one of her gifts is, I never thought it would be sent "nude." Now I think the next two things I ordered are lost in the mail, I ordered them the last week of November, and they are past their anticipated arrival date now, the tracking shows they haven't moved since Dec. 2. :x

Enough of my rant.

Well I guess you won't have to worry about it breaking again because it will basically be brand new by the time he gets done.

Hi Christmas family! Hope you're all having a great day. Mine is going okay so far. I am having that pain again in my back...well...it never really went away in my back. I've had it since I was in the ER last month, but now it is more lower in my back.

I've had kidney stones before and now the pain is worse again, plus now I'm having spasms. I'm beginning to wonder if that is what is wrong. I have a doctor appointment in the morning after I get off work. They never did do a CAT scan of my lower back or abdomen to see if that was the issue. Let's hope I get some answers. I could have even have just pulled my back. I do that ALL the time.

Well....I am getting my husband's cold,sort of. It doesn't seem as bad as his but I can definitely tell I have a bug....Since I am off for the next two days I am not planning on doing much other than watching Christmas movies...

I spoke to my supervisor today and asked her if the company has had its Christmas party yet......she told me it is next Friday and was very sweet, encouraging me to attend !!! She has always been so nice......I guess if they didn't want me there she wouldn't have told me when it is.....so once again my Eeyore ideations are wrong !

CAH and Sugar.....I am praying you both feel better soon....You are both too sweet to be sick !! ((HUGS))........

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'll be out of the office for a few hours today. My mother-in-law's sister passesd away Wednesday, and the funeral is today. She lived in Atlanta, but visited often. She'll be buried here in the family cemetary. She was a great lady, and I'll miss her. Her grandson and my son have become great friends (as well as cousins), and I think he'll be staying with us this weekend.

I found a cool device for iPod this weekend! It allows you to plug your electric guitar into the iPod, and the app runs a programs that turns it into an amplifier, complete with all the knobs; tone, volume, distortion, etc. It's cool! I picked it up yesterday...well, for my son, but surely I can play with it, too?!?

Chilly again today, where we have started out at 38 on the way to a predicted high of 58 by this afternoon.
And today we are not supposed to get much sun, making it seem colder.

Regardless of the weather, we are so close to Christmas it doesn't really matter, does it?
And you can't help but have a Fabulous Friday. Right?

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!! It's chilly here in central Indy but we didn't wake up to the 2 inches of snow they were predicting. It looks like it fell apart before it got here. There is still one little band that may produce some flurries but no accumulation. It looks like it's going to be another busy day for me but that's good. I'd rather get it all done today and have nothing going on this weekend. That way I can enjoy the World's Largest Christmas Party!!!!! I never thought of that. I will give it a try. In the next few days the lows will be in the 50's. Right now we are waking up to freezing temps. Of course it will get really cold again.

Both of my grandsons are interested in playing guitar. My youngest grandson just turned 6 years old and got a real beginners guitar. I guess it runs in the family. My brother plays guitar and the kids grandfather plays too.
