I just had a quick brain phart!!! We should all meet for a Christmas in July and/OR sometime in December!!! But as much as we love Crown and Binger, maybe they would have to pretend to be someone else so they would forever be the mystery twins. I LOVE this idea!!! Hmm. Where could we meet???

Indiana/Alabama???

Santa Claus, Indiana! That's a nice little town. =)

It took me quite a while to get caught up!

Kerstig, thinking about you and your brother ... Anne and sugar---and someone else, I should've written it down---hoping you feel better soon. And RJD listened to our pleas and joined us on the Countdown today! (He's trying to make us sick of him, but he doesn't fool me.)

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The company Christmas party wasn't too bad. I haven't bowled in years & years, so I was very rusty. But the old feel came back after a while and I didn't do too bad. The company bought gifts for us, and we played the game that, when your number is drawn you get the choose and open a present. If you don't like it, you can swap with another person's gift. I got out of there with the parts needed to construct a ramp to drive lawn mowers into a pickup truck...LOL! But that's better than the perfume I got stuck with for most of the game. Thank goodness one of the women wanted the perfume!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

'Round here they call that a Yankee Swap, I think. We went to a New Year's Day party once that did this with a twist---everyone brought the worst Christmas gift they received for the swap. The gift we took to get rid of was an Olsen Twins video that a friend sent us as a joke. We told him we would send him whatever we got in exchange, and we did! Mr. was in a position where he couldn't swap with anybody, and what he wound up with ... I can't mention on a family forum.

(Believe me, I get old quick!)

Put your left foot in, take your left foot out, put your left foot in, shake it all about ...

Good afternoon,

I finally watched "It Happened On 5th Avenue" last night, it was a pretty good and very funny movie that takes place during Christmastime.

Ooh, we just bought that, but haven't watched it yet! The cast looks really good. I finally got a decent DVD of "Beyond Tomorrow" this year. We watched that on the big screen (we have a DVD projector downstairs, along with the film projector) and really enjoyed it.

The Lemon Drop Kid will be on Turner Classic Movies this evening at 7:00 pm central time. One of my favorite Christmas movies! The song Silver Bells made it's debut in it. It's my favorite scene in the movie when Bob Hope and Marilyn Maxwell sing it together.

It looks like this movie is airing at the same time as White Christmas.

Sounds like a ratings battle between Bing and Bob tonight!

Ha ha! I didn't realize that those two are competing tonight!

Bing is my favorite Christmas singer but a battle between these movies I vote for Bob! I am sure White Christmas will get the higher ratings but I like The Lemon Drop Kid more. =)

White Christmas is Wayne's all time favorite Christmas movie.

Is it 2,310 or am I a day late and a dollar short???
We're guaranteed a couple of hundred or better posts Christmas Eve when the Countdown Gang ticks off the hours until Christmas. Of course they will all wimp out as soon as Christmas Eastern Time rolls in. Crown is already sleep deprived by 7pm and all the coffee smuggled in with the tea in China and a deck of tarot cards from New Iberia, Louisiana won't even keep Binger in afterward. Once they get their toys, the heck with the rest of us.

I've only wiggle room to talk though. By 6pm Eastern Christmas Eve, I'll be locked, loaded, all the way in, duck taped in the on position, flipping in it over here with all the real Christmas music fan hep cats & dolls! It's tradition for me!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great evening. DH, the kids, and myself had a great time at Holiday Lights on the Lake and then we went through the city looking at people's lights. We were out for about two hours.

We stopped at a Sheetz and got cappuccinos and homemade Christmas cookies. (It's a convience store - big up here in the North - kind of like a Wawa for you people down in the South.) They make their own food and such. Anyhow, we had a great time.

We're were watching, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", the movie version, but EA has to watch Dora before bed. She will be heading there shortly, so I will be able catch the end. I am going to watch White Christmas here at 10:45 EST.

I hope you guys all have a great night. I am going to check out the rest of the boards and see what everyone has been up to lately!
