HEY HEY HEY! Anyone else watching the football games tonight? I am...but I always do...hence the name ballcoach...I love me some ballgames....

School was back in today....I love seeing the kids. After a few days, I'm always ready to get back to work and see them.

It's been a long day because I'm trying to get back into my routine of getting up and being at work at 6:30. During the month of December (actually right after Thanksgiving), I treat myself to a month of getting to work at 7:15. It's only for three weeks, but it sure is nice.

I'm wore out, so I'm heading to bed. See everyone in the morning. Here's to hoping I dream about Darlene!

well back to the grind tomorrow, I picked up Thomas Kincaid Christmas Carol Clock ,plays a carol every hour , lets see in one minute ill be hearing one..... its 10:59 ...... okay , it was silent night.. anyhow i picked one up for a fellow Christmas lover as well, cant wait to give it to her tommorow. nite all :snowball:

I have a clock with a picture of Santa that plays carols on the hour also. I love it, it drives my wife crazy, but every year I say to her we are going to keep it up year round, hasn't happened yet though.

Chocolate, orange, peppermint, AND peanut butter!!! Any of those are my FAVORITES!!!

Here's one to start with:

I love the peppermint ones, I haven't seen it in years though, my wife use to put one in my stocking every year. I just remember the chocolate being so creamy.

Good Evening Everyone!!!!! It has been a sad day here. My friends mom passed away this morning unexpectedly. They are not sure what caused it so they have to wait until the autopsy tomorrow. Knowing that the funeral will be this weekend I went ahead and started taking down my christmas decorations this afternoon. I have all of my santas packed up and put away but the tree is still up. I am still going to wait until sometime this weekend to take it down. Tonight I plan on kicking back and watching some more college football. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry for you and your friends loss.

I just wanted to say to you all, I have only been here 2 days, but this site has made me feel at ease and happy. I thankyou all for your kind words of welcome and look forword to the next year of countingdown with you all!

Glad you could join us!

As I have suggested in other posts before a Christmas Notebook might do the trick for you. My Christmas notebook helps me prepare all year long with keeping a running list of gift ideas that I can easily check off when a gift has been purchased/made. I also write down tips that might help me like start wrapping way earlier then Nov. We as a family go over what we liked/disliked about this past Christmas and stuff we want to do again and ideas of what we want to try. As I try a new recipe that I think will be perfect for the holidays into my notebook it goes. I also keep a sectionon there for Thanksgiving, Halloween and Easter too. I also try to set aside a couple days a month to work on my notebook, go over recipes, etc.

I started my notebook on New Year's Eve for 2011, just wrote down what needs replacing for next year among other things.

I wish you could pass some of it along to me , its been sometime that i felt the spirit after the season was over. Any tips would be greatly appreciated !!
The CHhristmas Holiday season was very stressful and was overshadowed by an ailment that my dog was suffering from. She is ten and all of the sudden woke up and was screeching and yelping in pain. I toook her to the vet and she said that she thought it was a stroke or a brain tumor. My husband and I were to have a party the following day. We had to cancel it and did nothing but look at the dog for four days and she did not improve.
Trusting my gut instinct I took her to another vet and he gave her a shot of a steriod and said she threw something out in her neck and she was better in 24 hours with a minor setback the day afhter Cthristmas . The setback caused her to yelp out in pain and agin had me upset. Three days after that ,my sister had to put our " family "dog to sleep. SHe was 16. These happenings along with a bad case of the stomach flu in mid December caused me not to "feel it" this year. As a sidenoote , my dog is fully recovered as far as I can see. Her turnaround came on the day we had to put the other dog" Louie" asleep. I like to think that Louie sent down some healing energies . :snowball:

Sorry for the loss of your family dog, and glad your dog is doing better

I too am sorry to hear about the loss of your family pet. I wish you and your family and animals a healthy and happy new year!:rudolph:

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been around. My Hubby and daughter were sick last week with a sinus infection, and my son now has the flu. I'm keeping my fingers crossed no one else gets sick. I had a bad cold the week before Christmas, so I think we should be through with the illnesses for a while. We have had our share.

I hope you all are well and are having a wonderful 2011 so far. I believe this is going to be a great year!

TTYL!

I am always watching a ballgame. I am a sports fanatic!
I was supposed to go back to work today, but my son has the flu so I am staying home with him. We have 3 professional development days and then the kids come back Thursday. Luckily, I have a wonderful principal that said not to worry about the professional development. She would summarize everything I need to know and tell me all about it when I get there. I teach Pre-K ,so she said most of it really doesn't involve me or my students. There is one session Wednesday I really want to attend, so, hopefully, my son will be well enough for me to leave him with my Mom for a couple of hours so I can go Wednesday.

Sorry this was so long. I tend to ramble sometimes. LOL
