That's why I LOVE MCR and live365! So much Christmas music, so little time!!

G'morning everyone, Well it hit me like a ton'o bricks this morning. Husband went back to work and I as a substitute teacher with nowhere to go today woke up and realized..... business as usual. waaaaaahhhhhaaaaahaaaa:?. Iam fighting off the blues with a passion.doing my best , but I still feel it. How do we survive the rest of the year? lol These last few months especially after turning 40( gulp, did I just say that I feel like a "kid") I ve thought ( perhaps more than I should) much about the swiftness of the passage of time. I was shocked this year, while taking out my Christmas decs ,and was filled with a bit of anxiety about how fast it goes. It seriously felt and seemed like it was only yesterday that I was putting them away. Sometimes I get mixed up when thinking about Christmas's past and what year it actually was. Even Christmas of two and three years ago seem so recent.
Moral of the story and perhaps a new years resolution : Enjoy every day ! each day is a gift no matter if its in the midst of the darkness of January or in the delicious, electric madness of December . Christmas will surely be here again, and we all will be saying " My how fast it went!" Thanks for lettin me ramble. Merry January 3rd folks, may you relish in its beauty !!! :snowball:

Great post, Shinybrite! Thanks for sharing--sometimes it's hard to share what you are really feeling. But it honestly helps, not only you, but someone else who might share those feelings.

I loved the ASL (American Sign Language part of the video. I know Sign and LOVE it. I think it is the most beautiful language in the world. You should see some other songs in Sign!

I enjoyed reading it and you are right about what you said! Everyday is a blessing no matter what time of year it is. =)

I know I have said this a few times already but I surprisingly feel great and still holding onto the Christmas spirit without the blues. You keep it in your heart and the heck with the rest of the world if they don't like it! cheesy

I really like this song on Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. I enjoy watching this Christmas special even if the kids are not around. =)

Keep Christmas With You All Through the Year. We should all do that! =)

But we are all here for each other!! That's part of what makes this site special! Thanks, Christmas-a-Holic!

Just a clarification. Just because I feel great, I do feel bad for those who are going through the blues. I have been there and it's very real. Some think you are loony for being down but you JUST CAN'T HELP IT! I hope you all feel better real soon!

Losing a parent is difficult whether sudden or expected. Hope your friend has happy memories to help asuage the loss.

Good Evening Everyone!!!!! It has been a sad day here. My friends mom passed away this morning unexpectedly. They are not sure what caused it so they have to wait until the autopsy tomorrow. Knowing that the funeral will be this weekend I went ahead and started taking down my christmas decorations this afternoon. I have all of my santas packed up and put away but the tree is still up. I am still going to wait until sometime this weekend to take it down. Tonight I plan on kicking back and watching some more college football. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

thank you for the video link, made me cry. I never heard that one before and my kids lived for that show!

I teach my third graders the Pledge of Allegiance in ASL (American Sign Language) and tell them what the signs mean. They love it and seem to understand it better!

Don't forget to keep those sugarplums dancing with Christmassy thoughts in your heads !!!!!

:tree:

I still have vanilla eggnog, chocolate oranges, and vanilla creme drops left over that I'm working on, so I'm still in sugarplum mode!

Chocolate oranges? Somebody said Chocolate Oranges??? My ABSOLUTE favorite, well in addition to peppermint, Starbucks anything Christmas, and peppermint stick in oranges!!!

Early in the season they were on sale at Target, so I grabbed about half a dozen. I gave a couple for gifts, and the rest will get me through the next few weeks! Oh, and I got one as a gift, too. What do you like, milk chocolate or dark chocolate? (Either one for me!)

Hey everyone!

The holidays have thrown me off my regular schedule, but it starts back to morrow. I've been off work for a week and a half, but tomorrow it's back to work. I don't mind, though.

I did some work around here today, took my son duck hunting (no luck), then back for my city council meeting a little while ago.

I'll see you guys in the morning! cheesy

Well, let me see: I choose BOTH!!!
