Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good evening,

We started our Christmas shopping today (sorta) We put a Nintendo Wii on Layaway as the big Christmas gift for the boys, I love layaway. It was a long day, relaxed a bit probably should have mowed the lawn, but Tuesday called me and said it should wait until then, who am I to argue with that. cheesy Back to work early in the A.M. I will be retiring early to bed.

my bad... they are doing a top 40 countdown of this week back in 1989! now that is a year I remember...It is amazing how many of these songs I forgot and what all memories it brings back. 89 was a tricky year...started off bad but ended good. I was 14 all in all I would never want to be 14 again the year of puberty and entering high school!!

Guys today is probably going to be my last day posting until early October. Tuesday I have to start staying on base to train for our mission in Bosnia,and I officially leave June 5th. I can't tell you how much I am going to miss this place! I will miss every single one of you guys...when I come back in October there will be so many new posters and the holiday season will be here as I count halloween season in with the rest of em! praying all is well. My daughter had hers out a few years back, same thing as your niece with the pain and fever.

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. It is quite warm here in northern California. We are finally at home, so Iwill probably get a good rest tonight. We had a great dinner last night of bbq shrimp and lobster, fresh salad (just-picked greens and tomatoes) and great garlic bread and some wine. My son called last night and left a message that he and Melissa had arrived safely in Davidsonville, Maryland. I can hardly believe how quickly they got there. Joshua said they averaged 800 miles a day!!! Well, I need to get a shower and put on my pjs and totally relax. Tomorrow is root canal day!!!

9:15 already! I have friends coming for a BBQ tomorrow so I think I will sign off too and get and early start in the morning. (hoping it does not rain tomorrow.)cheesy

The cat scan didn't show anything so they sent my niece home. Even though the blood work and cat scan came back clean the doctor isn't convinced that it's not appendicitis. So he said to keep an eye on her and to bring her back in right away if her temp gets higher or the pain gets more severe.

I had the experience about 7 years ago, it was a good time, but I wasn't much of a fan of the food.

Sometimes the food can be hit or miss. I find if I stay with steak or filet, I like it more. Something about the chicken doesn't sit right with me, and I'm a little nervous to get seafood. But I just love all the stuff the chefs can do with hibachi! Such fun!

Glad they made it okay! I'm guessing Davidsonville is in southern Maryland, as I haven't encountered it in my monthly trips to northern Maryland/Baltimore. I feel them on the 800 mile days though...when I went back and forth between PA and GA in college, it was 860 miles and I would drive it (most of the time) in one day! Then I would sleep for about 3 days straight, lol. Definitely don't think I could do it nowadays! Also, good luck on your root canal tomorrow! I'll be sending good thoughts your way!
