Lost my last Uncle at the age of 88 and we will be attending his funeral in Florida over the weekend.

I am sorry to hear about your loss Crown. Your family will be in my prayers.

The Pennsylvania Rail Road Museum has an interactive 'virtual' exhibit where you can learn to drive a Diesel Locomotive. The instructions make it sound easy, but it was harder than it looked!

I will have to head down to that one the next I go to visit family in Pennsylvania. I have been to the one in Altoona several times but never down to that one.

Hi all. Too hot AGAIN. Upper 80s and 90s with humidity EVERYDAY for the next 7+ days. So depressing. I don't get depressed with the snow and cold - the heat and humidity bums me out!

We are getting a little bit of a break here for a couple of days. It is going to be in the 60's and 70's today and tomorrow but then we get 90's for next week.

I hope everyone here is doing good. I got a little headache today but other than that, life is treatin us good. merry christmas y all :D

Anyways tomorrow I have a 1/2 day work and then this weekend will be busy... my Hubby's surprise 30th Birthday party and 2 Memorial Day cookouts... not sure if I will make it on here tomorrow or until Im back at work on Tuesday. If not have a nice weekend to all and Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the USA.

Enjoy your Weekend!!!!!!!cheesy

Really thinking about Christmas a lot the past few days since I have been back from vacation. For Rudolph Day yesterday I listened to some Christmas music with the kids and made a nice dinner.. chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, rolls, corn..and peanut butter cookies. It was yummy!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! It is a wet dreary day here in central Indy. It has been raining off and on throughout the day but nothing compared to the storms that blew through last night. We had some branches down around my apartments and some shingles blown off but nothing real serious. I had to run a few errands this morning and now I am getting ready to search for any new news on Christmas in July. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hey Christmas pals :cheesy:

Life never seems to calm down too much around here. We've finally gotten through the first month or so of grand opening for CFA. The store is settling into a normal routine, and therefore, I'm able to settle into a better schedule. I'm glad, because I'm pretty sure my sweet little DD (3yo) was beginning to forget who I was!

So now that I have some level of normal in my life - I decided to throw that out the window and start a major remodel project! We are remodeling and expanding our bathroom. Demolition started today and will take a little over a week. We're SO excited to finally have something nice and new in our little, old house. The bad news in this? We're a ONE bathroom house that is now a NO bathroom house until the project is done LOL.

I'm thinking of going and getting a 7 day pass to Gold's Gym tonight so that I have somewhere to shower for the next week. It sure couldn't hurt me to start going to a gym - maybe this is a good time for me to join in on the conversations at the new health and fitness part of the board! Thanks to all of the MMC mods for putting that together, by the way!

I'm headed to see Jersey Boys tonight at the Fox Theater here in St. Louis. I'm super excited about that! It will be a nice treat.

By the way - just wanted to say that I love the compassion that I see here towards the victims of all of the recent storms. The Joplin storms hit close to my heart as a Missourian, but also because it is hitting home because of the damage done to our Chick-fil-A there. All of the team members are safe and accounted for - but every single one of the employees houses are completely demolished and so they have no where to live and now their job is compromised bc the store will have to be completely demolished and rebuilt - a 6-8 month process. I just can't imagine. The Oklahoma storms were also a very large scare as the town that was hit first, El Reno, is where all of my family is at. Very frightening to watch on the news and not be able to do anything about it. They are also all safe, praise God!

Anyways, I hope you guys are doing well. I've got to go do a bit of reading to catch up. Have a happy, Christmasy Thursday.

~Laney

Good afternoon, everyone. I am home from school a little early as I got a sub so I could go to the doctor with hubby. My mouth still hurts and I found out why. It is very bruised inside my upper lip and there is a huge blood blister! Yuck! It hurts to talk because the tooth rubs against the upper lip and it can't seem to heal. Ouch!!

Good Thursday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

We are home from Orlando, sunburnt and tired, but happy! I have started digging post holes for the pool deck today. Nothing like waiting until it's 90 degrees outside, eh?

Oh, well. Back to it. Have a great day, everyone!cheesy

At least you can jump in the pool when you need to cool down. cheesy
