I just started my, Couch to 5k, program. I believe this is what Kerstig was talking about? Blue Christmas mentioned something like this as well. I did much better than I thought I would!
Way to go! You can do it!
Good to hear it's starting of well! In Holland we have a saying:
een goed begin is het halve werk!
It means if you start of well, it means you already have half the work done, for the rest of the time you will feel positive!
It is probably not exactly the same, as my program was in Dutch, but i think it is quite simular
! I am thinking of doing something like this, with modifications. And I'll make homemade pound cake and icing because I get a strange sense of satisfaction doing things from scratch!

Hi! I know you asked Christmasstar, but since I am a hobby decorater myself, and work for as an editor of a cake decorating magazine, I thought I'd pitch in!
If you want to make that cake, you could consider using a rolled cake for the engine (instead on cutting out rounds), this way, there is less of a chance it will crumble...
I have 2 how-to's that might help you, one is a very detailed engine, you might be able to use details and put them on your own cake, to make it more fantastic:

and this is a more simple engine, I thought it might help you on cutting your engine cake, especially since this one is filled, which is testing great of course!

lots of luck!
I picked it on my own because it sounded funny, and is a little different.

My wifes grandmother is really sick with cancer right now, she may have only a few weeks to live, a few months at the most according to the doctors. We may not be able to see her before she passes since we don't have passports, but we will be trying to get them as quick as we can, and they live in Canada. I would appreciate it if anyone could send their thoughts and prayers her way.
prayers and good thoughts on their way to both you and her! maybe you could send her flowers over the internet? When my grandmother was very ill, I send her a bouquet of white roses and lilies since she lived far away, she really loved this, and placed them on her bedside table. I know it's a small gesture, but it shows how much you guys are thinking about her...
Hope you can get passports soon!
May I say thank you to everyone for welcoming me to the forum and treating me as if I were a friend - it's touching! Mr. Broderick gifted me a trial platinum membership today. I don't understand how all this works, but AuntieMistletoeDear and Christmas-a-holic did the same thing... And Christmasstars wonderful decor items, and the kindest of everyone is just overwhelming.
I knwo what you mean! These boards and it's inhabitants

are amazing!! I have only become an active member for less than 3 months (judging on the fact I am still a platinum member), and almost instantly CAH and her husband SIT honored me with a platinum membership! Every one is so kind, I feel genuinely supported by every one during hard times, and I really do feel like a part, even though I have not been here long!
I hope you feel as welcome as I do, and of course, it's great to have you!
Oh yes and I'm feeling better and so is William.
That's great news!!
