I am glad you all had a great time!JP's party was very much a success, he had a great time and got some very cool gifts. LC loved the playscape especially when I went in it with him. Got to meet some of JP's friends parents, so that is a good thing.
So glad to hear you are ok!Yesterday we had heavy rain and strong straight line wind in Northern Alabama. No real damage to speak of and thank God, no injuries or fatalities.
I pray he stays fever free and continues to get better!Crummy day here. A trip to the E.R. for Mr. He has a bad cold and his fever went to 103, but they got it down to normal in a few hours and got a couple liters off fluid in him (he was dehydrated from the fever). I hope I don't get it next. I'm glad we both have a long weekend for Patriots Day.
That is scary! Thank God you are ok!Well...then I leave to go to my overnight shift at Kohl's and there are fire trucks EVERYWHERE. As I pull in, my co-workers come running over to my car, telling me a tornado touched down RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOORS TO THE STORE, pulling up trees all over the place, ruining the mall sign, and even blowing open the doors and pushing racks all over the place inside the store. Also turns out that the skylights in the mall burst, shattering glass all in the mall and causing floods, water damage like crazy, and gas lines burst. Needless to say, they closed the store, will probably be closed tomorrow and maybe even Monday. The stories I heard were from my co-workers who were working during the storm have me scared out of my mind. I truly and honestly hope anyone who was in the path of these crazy storms is okay and safe.
Good evening (or night) everyone.
Today has been one heck of a day...
Woke up semi-early to go with Travis and two of our close friends to a mall a good bit away. Went to get Travis's mom a birthday gift we couldn't find anywhere around our area. While there, we stopped in a jewelry store and found a really nice engagement ring/wedding band set. We've been looking for a few months now and thought we found a ring we liked, but this set has me all riled up (in a good way!). He really likes it too, but now I feel all stressed because there are two rings we both really like, with no clear front-runner anymore.
We barely got back home in time for me to get ready for work at Hallmark, then we had crazy rain and wind on the way in, plus then my car started acting funny and going all over the road like I had no control over it...I was very scared and thought maybe I had a flat tire, but didn't. Then cue the most boring shift ever...nothing to do and not a whole lot of people out. Thankfully I was working with a good friend so that made it bearable.

I'm now in bed, planning to fall asleep while watching one of my favorite movies, The 40 Year Old Virgin. Hope everyone is having a good night!!
The race wore me out yesterday. I fell asleep by 8:30 pm and didn't wake up until 6 am. I slept soooooooo good!
My daughter and grandkids were unable to come to the race yesterday because my 7 year old grandson is sick. My daughter told me my 5 year old grandson said, "grandma can run fast"! Ha ha! I am actually a slow runner right now but I am glad he is proud of me. cheesy
I see Crown online now! Good!Hopefully we will hear from Crown84 soon. Yesterday wasn't a good day for that area.

Crown is typing now, won't be long!I see Crown online now! Good!
Wowzers! Tornadoes everywhere in east/central NC, including at least one that went right through Raleigh. My sister, father and I each have separate homes and my niece lives in one of the NCSU dorms but none of the 4 areas was affected, fortunately.
(I KNEW I shouldn't have started my post yesterday saying I knew it was going to be a good day. Jinxed us, I did!)
