Hello Christmas Friends

Heard on the radio that the weather is now really severe in some parts of te States. There were even some casualties, unfortunately.
I hope you all stay safe! I'll pray for you all.

I've watched a lot of the videos on the Weather Channel. What devastation! It's so hard to put into words. Take care everyone!

Who plans on getting up early tomorrow morning to watch the royal wedding?

I haven't decided if I am going to get up and watch it or if I am just going to set the DVR and watch it later. I am a bit of a news junkie so I will probably get up and watch it live.

We have tornado warnings in parts of Maryland right now. Some of the warnings are not too far from where we live, but fortunately we don't seem to have them right in our area. The sky is really black looking, and it's very windy. Hopefully we won't lose the electric again~ I want to watch the Royal Wedding tomorrow morning.

I probably will watch it as I go to work..It will make me miss living in England..I lived a little north of London and I was there when princess Diane died back in 1997. Knowing me I will record it just because I am sentimental like that..cheesy

I am listening to the scanner at work and they are saying over 600 people in hospitals and the death toll could triple in the next few days. And it is already over 200. Has everyone in the affected areas checked in here? I can't think of anyone who is "missing" from the affected areas.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is somewhat overcast and breezy here in northern California. Hubby and I went to Chico for his eye appointment and now we are back. I plan to spend some of this day organizing some of my smaller scrapbooking stuff. For tonight's dinner, I am thinking of fried meatloaf that I make in my huge electric fryin pan. Tomorrow night we are going to a lamb feed at the Elks Lodge. I love lamb but don't fix it too often. I hope everyone stays safe and checks in often. Take care and have as great a day as you can.

Good evening,

I didn't hear of the horrible weather until I came here tonight, I hope everyone stays safe.

Inventory is done for another month, it takes so long to prepare and then count, it is a draining experience every month. Back to work first thing in the morning.

I got home to watch the end of the Bruins game, and they won in overtime and on to the second round to face the Philadelphia Flyers, hmmm maybe another chance to exorcise more of their demons. Go B's!!!!!

At some point I went over 15,000 posts, not bad for someone who never thought he would make 1,500. I love coming to this site and sharing a little Christmas everyday with all of you.

Have a great night!

CONGRATULATIONS XMAS !!!!!

I am going to attempt to record it but I will be watching !! I am a total nut for weddings and a ROYAL wedding Wow !!

Good afternoon, Christmas family.

So glad for those who have survived this savage weather !! How sad that so many are devastated by either loss of life or property or both. All are in my prayers.

What a frustrating and anxious week !! It started at 3:00 a.m. On Monday when I was working. The server went down at work. I followed protocol but wound up having to call it a night. While I appreciated getting extra sleep it did not add to my ease of mind knowing I was not making the lines I desperately need. The server has gone down for three nights in a row now at 3 a.m...there must be something going on. I am behind so many hours it is totally silly. I just hope that tonight everything stays copesetic !!

I hope you are all safe, dear Christmas family xo

I am praying for the people affected by those terrible storms over there in the States....I cant imagine living with those storm warnings, not being able to sleep..... may the lord put his arms around You and all Your loved ones.....actually around everyone....and may he help the people who lost family and friends in those horrible storms. Amen

on a liter note...I cant wait for tomorrow......i am very sentimental when it comes to Royal Weddings.....Williams wedding even more because the pictures of 1997 come up....im so happy he found the love of his life and is tieing the knot

Good afternoon everyone!

Whoa..did I just see we are almost at the halfway mark of the season? That is AMAZING! Not that busy today at work. Day is going by slow. Its 3pm and I need to make it to 9pm. Anyone get any Christmas magazines lately? Time for me to get back to work, I mean, someone has to right? haha. Have a great day all!

And with this post, Meceka is poster #8,800. She is raking in the prizes. And this time, it's another doozy: some fishnet stockings from the 60s to go with the tab from the Tab!!

I'd also like to give a nod to my extremely slow internet that has been helping me to rake in the goodies cheesy

This wasn't a good day. I'm sure by now those of you in the USA have seen some horrific scenes from the region.

We were blessed not to have been hurt or worse and to have no significant damage. At least one of co-workers was not as fortunate. Thankfully none in her family were seriously hurt but two of their homes were destroyed.

My heart is heavy for the families in areas near me and not so near me that did not fair as well. For the first time since retiring from public service in 2006 I feel a little remorse and helpless in not being a part of the emergency response. Thank GOD for those that still do including many of my former colleagues! Their next few weeks will not be easy.

My heart is heavy, too - I will keep all affected by the storms in my prayers!

We got a hold of my mother-in-law and she is safe, so far. Sad news is, she had to put one of her dogs asleep today. She is heartbroken. =(

I'm glad you reached her and so sad she had to put one of her dogs asleep - will be praying for her and her fur child!

Also, thanks to everyone for taking time to say something about my friend's father's death. I have been taking it rather hard (I don't deal with death well at all), but my friend is doing well. We are having a service for him on Saturday, so we'll see how that goes.

I will keep you and your friend in my prayers!

That is scary, you should let the police know so they may send extra patrols that way, and has there been an outbreak of break-ins in your area?

That's a good idea!

Congratulations on your team winning - in OT, how exciting! - and CONGRATULATIONS on your 15,000+ post - hope there are at least that many more cheesy

I just saw on the Weather channel the Carolinas are going to be under warnings around 1am, my sister is located in Charlotte area, I hope they take proper preparations. I may not sleep to well knowing that.

I hope your sister is safe1

Good morning all! it's a muggy morning temp is at 75F at 6 am...I think the front is coming through later this morning, tonight it will get down to 55F sounds good,I hope everyone in the Mid-atlantic states and North east has a safe day as well,I think the storms are heading your way now.

I'm glad to see you posted this morning - hope all is safe your way!

It's overcast here, with tornado watch in effect, but it's relatively calm.

I hope there are no warnings out your way!

My family lives in that area too. Hope everything is well with both our families.

I hope everything is well, too!

Well said, track!

Good afternoon, Christmas friends and family! I hope this finds all of you safe and sound!

The rain has stopped and the basement is not flooded - the ground is very saturated, though, and it is very windy out so that should help out some. Will have to keep tabs on the basement for a few more days yet. The hose is all set should I have to set the sump pump going.

Mouse isn't feeling well today so I am very down. She is eating and purring, but not quite herself. Nothing to have me take her to the vet as of yet, but I will be keeping my eye on her very closely.

I heard from my cousin and she is going to get an ultrasound done tomorrow. Although she is feeling a bit better, she has finally decided that she shouldn't take any chances. Thank you all for the prayers!

Time to get back to work - stay safe!!!!

I don't know if any of you noticed, but in the roar of the winds and storms, I am sure I heard the word "opera" come from Binger, loud and clear! Is it that time again? Hope, hope, hope! That will surely raise our spirits!
