I agree totally. I watched one of those toddlers in teieras shows and it made me sick. That should be child abuse. Those parents are not doing it for the kids, they are doing it for their own selfish egos.

Sounds like that medicine is way too harsh on that little girls body. Probably why she is just laying around. I hope they can find something else to give her.Also tonight I am getting worried about my little dog pookie...She has terrible allergies which results in her itching and biting her arms and legs..she even pulls the hair out. I have taken her to numerous Vets and finally found one that helped diagnose her condition. They even made up shots at Yale university vet school for me to give her. The Vet said not to get my hopes up it could take 3 months before they work,I have given her a shot every other day for the last 21 days and she just lays around and I can tell she does not feel well. Starting next week i give her only one shot a week. I am just worried all this is not working...The Vet said he could give her steriod shots but they are very bad too even though they can help with her allergies they also have bad side effects...I hate to see her feel bad!
Wow! Botox for a child? That should be illegal!

Happy Friday the 13th evening!
I forgot to click Multi+ as I was catching up so forgive me if I miss something:
For those not sleeping, those with sore fingers and toes, and those with allergies I hope you are better!
I love black cats! When the vet came over last year to give Bo and Shaggy their shots, I found out most of my black cats are actually chocolates which kind of bummed me out - and I felt kind of silly as I always thought their fur had faded from laying in the sun all day
I used to have a Jason Fest every Friday the 13th - would only make it through the first four movies before I got tired of watching them. To this day, I think of my dad who shared his love of horror movies with me, especially the slashers - I miss him and if I wasn't so tired, I would watch a few as I know he would be here in spirit.
I had a fun day today - caught up with family, did some shopping, and went to the library. I have seven books to read in the next three weeks - should keep me occupied.
I missed out on watching the deer in my backyard, though. They are so cute and one of the good things about living in the woods! They play with the cats and they run at the slightest noises. However, I can sing Can't Buy Me Love and they actually walk closer to me. Gotta love an animal that likes The Beatles cheesy The bad thing about living in the country right now is that there are humongous bumble bees all over the place - I have never seen so many of them. They keep flying into the window screens and they are out late at night, which I find odd, but I do not know if that is unusual behavior on their part or not.

I couldn't imagine that place around Christmas, I'd love to see it! I was just talking about going there sometime this summer for a weekend, it's such a great place!
I was WAY surprised...I really thought he'd go to the finale. Think it should be Hines, Ralph...and honestly I don't care between Chelsea and Kirstie which of them goes to the finale, because I think Hines has it in the bag. =D

I have read that the PB & bacon sandwich was a big deal at the turn of the century 1800's into 1900's. Salty & sweet do go well together, like salted peanuts covered with chocolate.
I know this was a couple of days ago, but I do hope you're okay! I hate cutting myself with box cutters! No matter how safe I think I'm being, I manage to always nick myself somehow. Super klutz here as well!

Friends....I always try to be upbeat...I believe in creating your own happiness....that being happy is a choice...but tonight I can't be happy.
We are a small community along the Mississippi River. There is another river here that flows into the Mississippi. Several ditches and streams flow into this secondary river. The rain has persisted. Ditches have backed up. Slowly, the waters started to rise. It's just gone up and up. It simply won't stop.
People have been fighting it all week.
The water has just been too much.
There has been many families who won't be able to go back home. We are on the verge of losing a lot more. The heartbreak in their faces, the helplessness...it just breaks your heart. The kids who have lost everything...everything....
It's just not fair. Inch and half of rain yesterday....two more today...
The water has gone up three feet almost in 24 hours....
There are alot of kids that I love being changed by this. No one has died, but it's tragic to all involved, but especially the kids.
I don't know who you talk to when you lay your head down at night...but if you don't mind, say a prayer for these people. Right now, that's all some of them have.

Sad ... the candlepin bowling alley in our town is closing this week. Every year at Christmastime they used to have displays with animated figures, kind of a Christmas village. I'll miss seeing that. Makes me feel kinda guilty that we didn't go there more often.
On my visit back to Maryland, I noticed two duckpin lanes near my old hometown had closed. Bowling seems to be on the decline, and the alleys just don't attract enough bowlers to stay open. When I was a kid, it was a treat if our parents decided to take us bowling on a weekend afternoon.

It saddens me to hear this! I, for one, LOVE bowling and try to go as often as I can. I'm lucky to have friends who love to go as well, and it would probably devastate me if any of the alleys around here closed down. I guess maybe it depends on the area in terms of how popular bowling is...seems to be pretty good up here (at least for now)!
