Thank you to everyone for the prayers and good thoughts. My dad is already home (two days earlier than they thought!)...in fact, he was eating solid food last night, which they thought he wouldn't be able to do until today. It was amazing to see, so I am feeling much better about everything. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to see him for a while since my next few days are crazy busy, but I plan to call and bug him every day.

Again, thanks to all of you for thinking about him (and me and my family, plus the doctors). I really appreciate it.

So very glad to read your dad is doing so good - I will continue to keep him in my prayers!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly and overcast here in northern California. I am still coughing a lot and might have to finally go to the doctor, but there's probably not much s/he can do.

I hope this finds you feeling better, Seawaters!!!

Hello Again Christmas family.......Sleep is evading me this morning.....but no matter.....I will catch it sometime.........

I just wanted to post this pic of my Wish. He used to go outside and get really really dirty then he would need a bath......this is the "after shot" when he had gotten his bath and was wrapped in towel to keep warm........xo

How adorable - those Mommy hugs are doing wonders for him, CM3!!!!

We are all okay. Our house is okay.

Just very traumatized I live in Monson, MA, and all the destruction and devastation happened a less than a mile from where we live, I know they have shown the big white church on the national news, we live less than 1/4 mile from there. What we have witnessed is so scary, the tornado went through our yard causing just branches to be knocked down and knocking over our swing. My aunt & uncle lost their house, friends of ours houses are completely gone neighborhoods are decimated the mountain looks like it was shaved trees broken like toothpicks. People were crying in the street, we were never ready for anything like this, we occasionally get tornado warnings but nothing ever comes of them. I am so emotionally drained right now trying to keep a straight face for the boys. The boys are scared every time they hear an airplane or truck they think its another tornado coming. I will post again when I can, we don't have any power, and are at a friends house two towns away. It sounds like a war zone where we live, lots of sirens rumbling trucks chainsaws.

We are safe and thanks for the concern.

I am so glad you and your family are safe, xmas!!! I will be praying for you and all the town of Monson - ((((HUGS))))

You know, it's funny...I've known people from my town all my life and I've only known this site for 2 years and it's people for various times....but no where do i receive the well wishes or thoughts concerning my safety like I do here.

Christmas makes people better and those who carry it year round make are kinder souls for it.
I AGREE! I believe Christmas does make people more kind and caring.
Don't know how many of you know who Alice Cooper is, but those who do.....

SCHOOOOOOOOOOOL'S OUR FOR SUMMER!
I have seen Alice Cooper twice in concert. Not that I am a big fan of his but friends bought me a ticket so I went! First time I saw him he opened up for Guns and Roses, then next time was at a rock fest and Judas Priest was one of the bands there, don't remember who else was there. cheesy

My prayers are with you all. Don't keep a straight face for the boys, let them know how much this upsets you too, they need to know they are not the only ones who are scared. Talk to them as much as you can, it helps to make every one calmer when fears are shared. It is a terrifying thing to go through. I am grateful you are ok, and am crying for the loss of those around you.

Good point, Christmasstar!

I do have a good story as of right now. We were walking around the town and went by a home that had been reduced to rubble, the homeowner was searching through the rubble trying to find his dog. I just read online the firefighters rescued his dog ALIVE! late this morning. There have been no reports of any deaths in my town, just some injuries, and scared people.

I have posted some pictures of sights around my town.

It warms the heart to read that the homeowner was searching for his dog and that the dog was found alive - thank you for sharing, xmas. ((((HUGS))))

TGIF!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas firends!

My mom finally came home from her trip to the mountains. It seems every time she goes without us, she stays longer and longer! I told her to forget any thoughts about moving up there...I'm a mama's-boy!

I don't have to work at the store this weekend, so I guess I'll spend all day tomorrow working on the deck. I sure will be glad when this pool turns into fun instead of work.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I so agree, coach!

Morning! Another cool day here.... loving it!!! After a couple days of 90+ with high, high humidity, this is HEAVEN! Reminds me of a crisp, fall day... so so nice.

Going to make some meatballs and then head out to Target to see my grandmom and grandpop... have a great day!

Good morning - enjoy your visit!

SCHOOOOOOOOOOOL'S OUR FOR SUMMER!

Alice Cooper is one of my absolute faves and when that song came out, I was a fan for life - I still have my 45 of the single cheesy

Yes for a change it is lovely here as well - cracking the flags as they say!

I have had to get the sun cream out for the kids and apparently it suppose to be good weather all through June - but I'll believe it when I see it.

I am taking my eldest to see a concert tonight - band called Take That - takes me back to my childhood, then on Monday we are going to watch the xFACTOR auditions which should be a good laugh and we may even be lucky enough to hear the future winner!

All in all an exciting few days - Oh and my hubby is back from Korea tomorrow!!!!!! YAY:snowball:

Glad to read your hubby is coming back tomorrow!

Good morning!

I finally caught up on the Forum. Took the day off yesterday to help my cousin out. Her autistic boy caused a lot of stress for her so I hung out with her all day. We went for a 2 mile walk - the weather was gorgeous and we took our time since she is still recovering from her surgery. The river is very high yet - I haven't checked the weather out, but I hope we don't get any rain for a week at least. We hung out at the house for a while, then ate out and went to the library. It was an enjoyable day and she got to do a lot of venting which was very helpful.

Today I have to work both jobs - hope to get on here later in the day.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, Friends.

Wow, Xmas365! Glad you came through OK.
We had our own close call here when devastating tornados came through on the south side of town recently causing similar damage to yours.
(I think we are on course for an all-time tornado record in the US!)

.....Hey Crown or Binger, is it acceptable to go to the Pines any night or just on Wednesday? Just curious.....
Oh, the 'Pines is always open, Coach. It's just that Wednesdays ("hump" day, you know!) are specials open houses with the free tea and fired twinkie offers and the occaisonally unique entertainment, courtesy of Carl and crew.

On to the count as we near the week's end:
Days to the Season: 163
Days to Christmas Day: 205
A bare 5 days remain until the 200-day Christmas Window opens onto double-100's territory!

Sunny, calm and noticeably refreshing outside with lower humidity.
I'm afraid it will be a brief reprieve, however and the 90's will return tomorrow.

Have a Fabulous Friday Folks!

Did I tell you guys my little Noel is now taking steps?!?! He is such a daredevil! He has had more bruises, cut lips, and bumps in his 9 months than Jude has in 3years!!
If you don't hear from me for awhile, you'll know I had a heart attcak because of my crazy baby!!! :)

Great song - I remember every year when we finished school singing that song!...

…and Alice has a fairly cool syndicated radio show too! A local station here carries “Nights with Alice Cooper”. The rare times I’m listening to cooperate radio, Cooper is usually the reason.

CAH will like one of the “Today In Rock” posts at the site today (June 3, 2011).

Happy Friday fellow Christmas lovers. It's a lovely day in middle America and I'm looking forward a nice relaxing weekend. Hope you all have a great one!

And with this post, Christmas-A-Holic is poster #11,600. Her prize is a jammed stapler!!! It will make a great paperweight! Congratulations!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly again here in northern California. Temperatures are suppose to get into the 80s next week. Strange for this time of year. Normally it is hot, hot, hot!! I had to get up twice in the night to take cough medicine. I hate waking up like that and then trying to fall asleep again. We have four and a half days of school left after today! I have to spend this weekend on report cards, so I will get on when I can. Stay safe, everyone; and have a great day!

Talk to all of you soon

Hello my Christmas friends..its a beautiful day here in Maryland.. around 80 degrees , Sunny and low humidity.. Im sure it will not last long so I will enjoy it today on my lunch break.

Evan (my 4 1/2 year old son) was sick all day Wednesday throwing up..poor Baby... we had to miss going to lunch with my Aunt who is in town from Arizona and also not go to his school picinic yesterday. I know he was heartbroken..he is doing much better now though. That is scary for a parent and this is the sickest he has been. Hoping my other Son and I do not catch the bug.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. We have 2 Birthday parties to go to on Sunday (my God Daughter and my Nieces) so that should be fun for the Boys. Take care everyone!
