Here's the cake my daughter, Elizabeth, made for me. She's 10!

My mother-in-law is a caterer and bakes cakes all the time, and she talked Elizabeth through it, but E did it by herself. I'm so proud of her!

Good evening,

One more day until my day off, 6 in row takes so much out of me. My mom in law is supposed to be getting out as of Tuesday, we finally told the boys tonight that she is in the hospital, we could not stand hiding it from them any longer, they seem to understand it is good for her to be in their, LC reached and was rubbing my wife's arm as she was telling them, it was so cute. I made some homemade snickerdoodles tonight, I do have to say it was the best batch I have ever made.

I just had some good news...I've been working extra hours to cover for one of the other girls who is out sick, and the boss asked me if I wanted to make it permanent. Yay! More hours = more cash=easier to pay bills and buy Christmas things!

Hi everyone!

Gearing up for the big Hallmark Premiere tomorrow! I worked there tonight putting out all the ornaments (they had been working on it for about 4 hours before I went in at 5pm, and we finally finished at 8pm). They are all ready to go! I work tomorrow from 10am-4pm, so we'll see how busy it gets! Apparently it's not crazy busy (or it hasn't been the last few years)...I guess people around my area aren't much into Christmas in July. But I have my bag of ornaments ready to be purchased! I hope everyone has a great weekend! <3

Well, the heat some of you have been talking about is due to arrive here this weekend. Going up to 30c+ with humidex that is going to make it feel like 10c+ more.
Right now it is really nice, I have the doors and windows open enjoying the cool breeze.

Good morning, Christmas family!

I was asleep by 8:35 last night - I seriously think if my brother hadn't called me a little before 6:00, I would still be sleeping cheesy

The heat is coming today - the humidity started yesterday. It is going to be sweltering -don't you just love that word! I hope the kittens are old enough to handle this!
The one good thing is that there is going to be more of a chance of storms - we really need the rain. To think it was only about a month ago that there were so many flooding issues in the area.

No major plans except working as many hours as I can.

Well my sweety is sick, last night she had a temp of 102, this morning it is 100.2, so hopefully it is going down. She has flu symptoms, very achy. She felt fine most of the day yesterday, then around 6:00 PM she started feeling bad. She called me as I got off work asked me to bring her some stuff home from the store. So much for our going to see the Christmas in July stuff, my poor baby.:sad:

She felt fine most of the day yesterday, then around 6:00 PM she started feeling bad. She called me as I got off work asked me to bring her some stuff home from the store. Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! Today is going to be the start of a miserable week. The next 10 days are going to be in the 90's. I will get a lot done inside because I definitely won't be spending a lot of time outside. I have some cleaning to do today and then I will head out to hallmark.
