Just winding down now with my Wishbone fast asleep on my legs and wanted to tell everyone I hope you have a restful evening!!

Good morning, Christmas family!
Another early morning for me - I thought I might as well get up since I haven't been able to sleep since 3. Ugh - going to be a long day! I have been moving rather slowly - seemed to take forever to get the coffee ready to go and then it wasn't done when I was ready for it - must need to buy a new pot. I'm drinking chocolate coffee from Cracker Barrel - a present from cousin. It is yummy and I am starting to feel alive - yay!
It is actually a good thing I am up early - there are storms forecast and I need to get my work in before they hit. I had best log on and start working.

So glad to see you here!this countdown just makes me giddy!! I have been absent but plan in being very active this year .... looking forward to the ornament exchange again ... is it already started?

I had a night like that last weeik. I woke up at 2 am with only 3 hours of sleep then had the kids for 11 hours and actually did ok through the day. I hope you feel awake today!
Hot!!!! It will be 108 today and 109 tomorrow. The news has reported several heat related deaths in our area. So sad!
Water restrictions are down to 2 days a week in surrounding areas. My grass is dying but as the song goes:

Yeah, it's fun working in a warehouse in this kind of heat. As much water I drink you would think I would be in the restroom every 10 minutes, but I sweat it all out. The good thing is, when I am driving the forklift, that kinda creates a bit of a breeze over me, but as soon as I have to stop for a few minutes, here comes the sweat.
Hello all, so I was up late last night enjoying Shark week!!!! Oh, the fear draws me right in!!! Well, digging in at work, just glad we are busy. Hope you all have a good day, and no matter what weather it be hot, rainy, dry, humid, or just yucky let's be glad we are here for it and have each other

Beautifully sunny morning. We have been blessed to have no humidity at night the last while so sleeping has been comfy. Rain in the forecast later today and then the heat returns.
Get to work at the House of Blessing today and try to give away some more furniture. Then off to look after Lindsay at lunch time. After that I will finish off the the pastries and go for my interview.

We had our city council meeting last night. This is our mayor's last year, and he wants me to run for mayor. That's all I need; another job. Still, I'm considering it. I've spoken with the other councilmen, and they say they aren't interested, so I might give it a shot.
Mayor Bradmac. It has a snazzy ring, don't you think? LOL! I'll have to think about it, and I have to talk to the county elections manager to see what's involved that I may not know about. My sister-in-law says she'll run for my vacated council seat if I do this, and we both are interested in city beautification. It might work. We'll see.

Days to Christmas Day: 145
Now UNDER half a week to the 100-day Season Milestone.
(And that's something to toast with tea!)

(It's a good thing Christmas isn't in the Summer or Santa would pass out from hyperthermia around here!)

that is a very interesting show, I just have trouble with the attack reenactments. Must be why I only ever watched one!
