Good evening,

I got home today, and my wife and boys were looking for our cats. The door didn't latch completely when they left this morning, and when hey got home the door was open. The found one right away in the house, and then found one outside, I fed them and two more came out, and then found another outside. We are still missing one, Sidney (named after Sidney Crosby) my boys favorite cat, who followed them around like a little dog, has not come home. He is the sweetest cat ever, such a great temperament, we have looked for him all night. We are all devastated because we can't find him, I just hope he comes home tonight, he is an indoor cat, so I hope he can make it.

Have a good night.
I feel positive your cat will return but I know all too well the feeling!!!! Dogs seem to get lost very easy but with cats they can roam all night and show up at the door like nothing happened. We had our indoor cat escape last year during one of our coldest days. The window got broke and I didn't even know it was broke and he got out. I was so sick with worry because he has always been indoors and I still had that fear he would be lost forever but he showed up early the next day.

I wish you best of luck and let us know when he returns!

I rushed through all these post and didn't really get a chance to read everything. My granddaughter is on her way over so I will try to catch up later.

Welcome back home Gabulldawg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, at least the bread is smelling
good!

Ohhh, yummy!!! I love that smell!!!

How cute!!!

Right isn't he just a little peanut!!!! I love how he is holding the pumpkin, you just want to kiss his cheeks!!!

Watch out, Brad!!!

...We brought our dog Snickers on ever single climb, she was like the acting Mayor of Acadia, everyone loved her and her little pack, people were petting her and she was loving every minute of it, what a HAM-BONE!!!....QUOTE]

HA, HA, HA... Maybe she can be his deputy of public relations!!! Free Golden Kisses for all who want them!!! Tee Hee!!!

Hey Guys! I got home at 2 am local time(est) and the first thing I noticed when I got off the plane was that my good friend From massechusetts who I have not seen in years showed up he is a dean of history at a set of colleges in Amherst. We have so little in common especially politically but when we are together I can talk to him forever because he is so smart and I ask alot of questions. Brandi of course is very pregnant now,I could not wait until I got back to find out the gender and it's a boy! it's so good to be home I have not been to sleep yet and I will try to stay awake all day..brandi is getting ready for work, the schools here are out thursday and friday for fall break so we will have a long long weekend before we both go back on monday!

Thanks again everyone who kept me company and left me notes of en couragement while I was away, some days were hard like when I found out my little dog I have had for 10 years died, pookie was a dashound who was my baby girl...and I have to tell you it has hit me hard again being in the house and not having her lick my face when I got home, but I know she is in a better place now! I hope everyone will have a great day!

This is awesome, wonderful, perfect news to get first thing in the AM!!! My Nana lost her first husband in WWII, she left me a few items, I know even though she remarried and had a very nice 2nd husband, there was a special place for him in her heart, I am just so thankful you are home safe and sound and get to see your little boy come into the world. Congratulations on finding out you are having a son, I am sure you will make a great father.

As for your little pookie, that is hard sometimes our pets help us through some times and when you lose them a part of you goes with them, I know you know she is in a better place but that doesn't make it easier. Sorry for this loss.

On a happier note my Snickers can send you virtual kisses I know she has TONS to spare!!!

Welcome home, Dawg. Glad you made it back safe, friend! Congrats on the little dawg.....good for you man...good for you....

Perfectly stated!

Ditto that, Bradmac. I was so excited about the choice!!! I love all her shiny, sparkly, glittering stuff; especially when it's pink!!!!!

Congratulations Christmasstar !!!! (((HUGS)))

Xmas 365-I hope you find your cat soon!:(

Oops I forgot to add when we landed we learned just yesterday a pilot at our AFB crashed his jet on a routine practice drill he crashed not too far from my home luckily no one was hurt he safely ejected from the plane and only had minor injuries! I always get nervous when I hear stuff like that as I work in the control tower but in my almost 18 years I have never been stationed anywhere that a plane crashed during my assigment.

and also I forgot to add that I was SHOCKED to see our landscape once the sun came up the leaves on my trees that turn beautiful orange colors are shriviled up and falling off from the drought...it has not rained barely any since I left in June and thank goodness my grass is still green thanks to my sprinklers but I wish I would have set them up to my hit the maple and pear trees...but still I will have to drive up north ga mountains around mid october to see my pretty fall leaves!!
So glad you are home safe! (even if everything is not like you left it, it is still home!!!)

I baked a loaf of bread last night, my husband is working nights and we'll I thought he would like to have some when he came home this morning (of course there were three pieces missing two for me and one for my furry babies to share!!!)
the bread turned out not to bad, a tad flat, but still delicious!

Good Morning MMC!

off to Buffalo today with friends, and then to Niagra Falls, USA side this time. Hoping the rain stops and we have a nice day to enjoy it all.

Here she is, The Cutest Kitten in the World - and yes, I am totally biased

Oh my, she is SO beautiful, Meceka!!! What a doll!

Hi everyone! Checking in for the day. I'm not sure if I will get to later or not. My first night back to work last night wasn't bad at all! It was like I never even left. Same crap, different day - haha. All the gossip and drama never ends! Anyway, I was able to catch right back on very quickly, thank goodness. Also, it made it nice because it wasn't really that busy and I was able to ask questions if I needed to.

As for today, I slept for a 5 1/2 to 6 hours (working nights I never sleep as much as I do at night). I get more sleep then a lot of my co-workers do though - some of them only sleep 3 or 4 hours. I don't know how they do it! DH is working tonight as well - when he works his 2 night shifts, they work 14 hours, so he goes in at 4:30p and will be home tomorrow morning around 7a. My dear sister has the pleasure when this occurs of watching the kids for us. She works daylight mosts days as well (God Bless her), so hopefully they sleep okay. She won't except money for watching, which I know most family members don't, so I always take her out to eat on the nights she watches them. She at leasts lets me do that. I'm not sure where we're going yet. I am waiting for her to get off work and get here.

Well folks, just wanted to stop and say hello. I will try to check back in before I head to work at 11. Everyone have a great evening! If I don't talk to you all tonight, talk to you tomorrow!

Glad your first night back went well!! And what a wonderful sister you have! Hope you had a nice dinner :)

Glad you're home safe! It's always great to see old friends. You can just pick up where you last left off :)
Congrats to you & Brandi with the little one on the way!

Good Morning.

Tomorrow is Hump Day and I'll miss the 'Pines!
Oh, well. Perhaps a break from that crazy camel is a good idea.
At least I'll know the count is in Brent's very capable hands.

OK, speaking of the count:
Days to the Season: 47
Days to Christmas Day: 89
The 90 percent home stretch Season Milestone comes in a mere 10 days, followed by SINGLE DIGITS.
Woweezers!

Looks like our trip to the coast will be under overcast skies with a chance of rain.
(Actually, I love driving under cloudy conditions. It's so easy on the eyes.)

Well, you all have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone.
See you here Saturday morning!

Watch out, Brad!!!
...We brought our dog Snickers on ever single climb, she was like the acting Mayor of Acadia, everyone loved her and her little pack, people were petting her and she was loving every minute of it, what a HAM-BONE!!!....
I saw that, too! As long as she doesn't run for Mayor of Bellville, we're ok!

Good morning, friends!
Happy Tuesday!
It's going to be another hot day today, high of 99. Send some Fall my way, please!
I went to Walmart last night to pick up a few things, and saw that they were starting to put out a little Christmas in the lawn & garden area :)
Mostly Christmas trees & outdoor decorations. I saw a polar bear & thought of CM3!! It was so cute.
Well, hope everyone has a great day!!

I'm sorry to hear about Pookie. I know it's tough to lose a pet that you love that much.

But I highlighted some reasons for celebration above! Welcome home, my friend! cheesy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is going to be another rainy day here in central Indy. I don't have much to do this morning but I have to babysit this afternoon. I also have to go help my brtoher in law pick up a new washer this evening. So before everything gets all crazy I'm going to turn on the christmas music and relax for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Catching up from last week...

Well crap.....

Just got back from the vet...our dog is in the middle stages of congestive heart failure...vet says we can treat some of the symptoms...but he doesn't know for how long....he said this can go anywhere from two months....six months would be the tops....

Guess that's the bad thing about pets...wife is crushed....we don't have kids yet, so they really are our kids....and that is her baby....

But ya know, it could be worse....we could have needed to put him down today....as it is know, we can bring him home and spoil him every more. He isn't in pain...doctor assured us of that...we get the chance to make the next few months memorable.....that'll be fun.....

Dang dogs....just breaks your heart....

I am so sorry to read this... I lost my kitty Jules Vern to cancer, but his last 8 months I spoiled him (as did my husband). There is a funny story there too... I had Jules before I knew my husband and when I cooked dinner for him one night I had three places set (now remember I was a single girl - I lived alone - I just always shared my dinner with Jules at home) well he came in and asked who is the 3rd plate for, I replied Jules, he says something like your cat, I said yes and if you have a problem with that there's the door, he was here before you and he will be here if you go, the choice is yours, needless to say either my sauce smelled really good or he really liked me because he stayed and dined together, and never another word was spoken about it... They became buddies and he was just as heart broken when we lost him, we nicknamed him the Captain, as well, that brings a smile... I feel for your wife Coach, I do not have children so I do tend to spoil the furry babies, enjoy the time you have...

13 years of a Christmas obsession while we've been together, it's Christmas here, there and everywhere for me. It has to rub off at some point. cheesy

Well, 11 years and my husband doesn't mind me going crazy with Christmas but it hasn't rubbed off, but I noticed he gets into it when we decorate the tree together, when we 1st started he didn't really help in fact the 1st year he watched football while I did the tree, we got real trees back then and he of course helped pick that out. My one friend was like how did you do it with no Christmas music I said I sang them myself I didn't need to hear them of course I missed them that year but hey I figured this was a start and now we listen to Christmas music and have a grand time, so maybe it has rubbed off...

hope they have them over there by christmas glade 4 park for 12.99 (thats about £7 )

Woo Hooo that is AWESOME I so love those candles!!!

A BIG Welcome Home to gabulldawg! When is the Li'l Dawg due?

Sunny and warm today, but a little cloudy inside.

xmas365, hoping that Sidney comes home soon. Please keep us posted.

Yay! You're home, glad you made it, and I am sure Brandi is especially happy, and congrats on finding out about your boy. I am so sorry to hear about Pookie.

We have friends that always joke around and say, "When you're with friends the 2 things you don't discuss are politics and religion if you want to remain friends." I can definitely see that, my grandfather and I are on different ends of the political spectrum, I avoid talking about that like the plague when he is around. cheesy

Uh oh, are we safe with that unsupervised camel, what "special" things does he have in store for us tomorrow? cheesy
