Well I had one niece for 8 hours and the other for 4 hours. Now I think my head is going to explode. Maybe a nice quiet evening at the pines will help out. I'll see you all there.

Good evening from the beautiful 'Shispering Pines!

I have been up since 3am and not even a transfusion of Carl's delicious new turbo-charged Mocha Java Cooler is going to keep this gal awake! I must away - I love how they talked back in Jane Austen's days!

Have a most excellent and MERRY time tonight, my fellow Christmas lovers!

Well, as you might imagine, there is always something Christmassy at the 'Pines year round but they go all out with full holiday decor starting Nov 13 (the first day of the Season).
Anyone is free to help out with the decorating and (by way of a drawing) one lucky visitor gets to stand on Carl's back to place the topper on the main lobby tree!

will there be coffee???

YABBA!

The party is rockin at the pines>> crown is playing holiday on strings on their pillow and jayish is dancing a paus du lux.. Meanwhile,, coach is arguing with made about who discovered darlene love first>>

yabba!

Good evening, everyone!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their trip to the 'Pines. We are now on the downturn of the work week! It's great to be able to say that again as I am working full time. No real developments here in Ottawa today.

Of interest, Kim and I were walking to Shoppers' Drug Mart - they have a massive sale on hygiene products - and noticed a couple stores were decorated with fake spiderwebs as well as black and orange balloons. Yes, Canadian Thanksgiving is over and commerce has its mind set on Halloween. It will be nice to see these decorations for 18 days... and then we can join the final Countdown to the Christmas Season!

Well, I think I will continue watching this baseball game and read over the rest of the thread to see what I missed from today. Have a wonderful evening, everyone!

Congrats to you, Brent! I hope you enjoy your new job!!

Thank you. Thankfully, I do not have a pile of work on my desk..... Yet.

Good evening everyone! I hope you're all doing well. It's been so warm out lately, I'm fine with it though because I get sick easily.. so the cold weather will only bring me a sore throat and stuffy nose, haha.
Have a great night!

Good evening! I am just finishing up the dishes from supper and just took the dog out to "pottie" one last time tonight. It is very warm and humid about 70F,and it's going to be up near 88F tomorrow. But then things are suppose to cool down over the weekend, and so it will feel like fall shortly. My buddy who lives in Massachusetts sent me pics of the beautiful leaves up there. I am thinking of moving somewhere in the northeast for my next and final assigment if I can handle the winters up there! Have a good night everyone!

No 'Pines for me tonight---I got over my cold, but was in bed all day yesterday with food poisoning. We went out to eat Monday evening for our anniversary, and something at the restaurant must have been not quite right. Couldn't even keep water down yesterday. I'm up to saltines and Gatorade today and am going to try some broth for lunch. So tired and weak.
That is definitely not how you want to spend your birthday meal. Should have just had triple desert, I guess? Keep getting better!

Brent - Congratulations on your job !!!!
Thank you!

You're welcome! Thank you for asking about Palmer, Snowflake! She is equal parts playful and sleepy - right now, she is sleeping on my foot cheesy

Aww! Give her a hug for me!

Congratulations, Brent!

Yes, congratulations on the new job!

Hahaha! Sounds like my morning, too. We can party in our minds, at least!! Have a great day, yourself!

Sorry you're not feeling well, MerryCarey. I'll be thinking of you, hope you're back to feeling like yourself in no time! Happy Anniversary!

Congrats on the new job it sounds awesome

Congratulations of getting the job!!! That is great news.

Thank you to everyone for their kind messages about my new job. It will certainly allow the work week to go by much faster!

oh sweety i do hope you feel better & don't get sick.will say a prayer for you!

I hope you are better soon - will say a prayer for you!

I hope you don't get sick!

Hope you feel better soon and aer not getting sick!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes! I am actually feeling better today...the first day in a long time where I haven't felt completely crabby or out of it. Let's hope it stays this way!

We have been going to birthing classes and it has put me in shock kind of! She wants to do it without any pain killers,we have about 3 months left,so we are getting down to the last trimester! wish us luck!

What a gal! I have a few friends who went au naturel and had no problems...I had others who said they would do it and halfway through labor, caved and got an epidural. I give absolute credit to any woman who would even THINK about doing it without painkillers!!! :) Continued good luck to the both of you!

Good morning! Happy Hump Day!!! I am on my way to the Pines with some Chai Tea!!

I looooove chai tea! There is little on earth better (imho) than a nice glass of iced chai. <333

OMG Merry, I hope you feel better SOON! Colds are bad enough but food poisoning can be a doozy!!! Sending you lots of good health! =)

Greetings all!

What a day! It was the first of two longer days at Kohl's, due to the fact that I'm off work Friday (my "reward" for working 12 days in a row...ugh). It went rather well...schedules are almost done and I'm almost done scheduling all the interviews for our holiday hires! It gets a bit stressful but I'm hoping everything will be done tomorrow.

Had to take Sangria to the vet today for a nail trim...she always cries when she's in the cat carrier, but then she goes almost comatose when the vet is actually clipping her nails...so weird! I let her out of the carrier on the way home and she just looked out the window the whole time. It's like watching a small child looking out a window at all the wonders outside. =) I love that little kitty.

I'm very excited to have dinner with an old work friend tomorrow. She used to work at Kohl's but left in March for another job. We used to hang out all the time but haven't been able to lately with her new job's hours, so it will be great catching up tomorrow night!

I'm doing a pretty much dress shopping marathon on Friday and I'm PUMPED. I have two appointments up in the Hershey/Harrisburg area in the morning/at noon that a friend from work is accompanying me to, then I'm hitting more local shops (3 of which I've been to already, 1 that I haven't) with one of my matrons of honor (the one that lives around here...the other matron of honor is my BFF who lives in Florida). The one in Hershey is one place I don't think I'll actually buy a dress from...most of them are quite a bit out of my price range...but they have a bunch of dresses I've been looking at for years now, and I would just like to try them on and say I did before doing more serious dress shopping. If that makes sense, lol. One of the places is David's Bridal and I'm a little leery of going there due to MANY people's complaints about the chain...but figured I would go and see for myself. Can't hurt, right? On top of all that, my local matron of honor has been a little sketch lately and I'm worried that she'll flake out on going again like she did last week. I'm hoping I can avoid that drama and just have a great, fun, relaxing day!

I'm a little late but I'm heading to the 'Pines! See you all there! I'll be the one wearing neon green knee high socks with music notes on them! (I just put them on bc it got a little cold here and they're my fave socks ever!) =)

Have a good hump day night, everyone! <3

I'm not caught up with the posts, but congratulations to those with good news, prayers for those with bad news, and "get well soon" to those who aren't feeling well.

I imagined that the 'Pines always has some Christmas up, but adds to it during the season. I'd like to see Carl put the topper on the tree, too!

I hope you are feeling better.

Good afternoon, Christmas Family !!

Just sitting here catching up on posts. It is a very rainy, very cool, very October day here in N.E. Ohio and I love it !!!! I am supposed to exercise today but I don't know if I will get it in. I know I should but we all know how that goes !!

Work has been going so much better than when I very first started with them back in February !! Thanks to a new account in radiology I get (usually) tons of lines and hardly any goobers ! A true blessing.

I don't know if I mentioned it but thankfully I have been able to taper down the oral steroid I have been on for 2 years...now If I can just keep it at the level it currenty is !! I already have osteoporosis and steroids are certainly no friend of bones. The one thing I don't get is that since I have tapered my appetite has gone into overdrive ! When you increase the dose that is what usually happens - not when you decrease it -Oh well.....Guess I am backward (as usual !!)

Snowflake - Still thinking of your Harlowe ((HUGS))

Made - Still thinking of your niece and your family ((HUGS))

Meceka - Still keeping you and yours close to my heart and prayers as well ((HUGS))

Brent - Congratulations on your job !!!!

Lauriebear - Always nice to see you here !! ((HUGS))

MerryCarey - Praying you feel better !! ((HUGS))

I hope all have a wonderful Pines Day......Maybe I will sneak off and see you there later !! ((HUGS)) everyone xo

I am glad to hear you are almost goober free, and glad you are getting tons of lines

Hey guys I had to add this: Although I can somewhat cook, there are some things like "jello" that I iust learned how to make. When I was sick with pancreatitis I had to eat soft fods etc...well I can't for the life of me make Jello turn out right! It's always too soupy....what am I doing wrong guys? Arhhh! I am pathetic! I think I added to much cold water...anyways I thought that was funny,it's always the easiest things that screw me up! good night folks!

There is Westover AFB in Chicopee, MA, main base of the giant C-5A's which is right near Amherst, and pretty close to my neck of the woods.

Too funny, back in 2008 I worked on a Hotel Reno in Harrisburg, PA I was helping with the Residence Inn - if you can take some pictures of the dress that would be so cool to see them!!!
