Can I lead the Indiana division??
You are now the Christmas Party Indiana Headquarters President!
Your national headquarters could be at The Pines!!!
And Carl is the the Christmas Party National President!
Sounds great! If you need a personal baker let me know
What a wonderful offer! Every Christmas Party Regional Headquarters needs their won private baker!
You got Santa working for you now!

And an endorsement like that for a Christmaspublican presidential run would make me a shoe-in!

I just heard from Gabulldawg.

His father had a stroke while driving and will recover but he is not sure how well he will do during recovery. His mother was in the car and injured but she should be fine too.

He wanted me to pass this along and said he is thankful for everyone's concern. He will try to post later today and update all of you on the situation. He said he will also try to respond to everyone's messages as soon as he is able to.
Thanks for letting us know, CAH.

Prayers going up for you and your family, friend Neal.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is going to be another rainy day here in central Indy. I need to run to the grocery store and I might stop and get my haircut while I'm out. I also need to find my aunt a birthday gift. She hasn't given us any ideas so it's been kind of hard this year. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just one hair cut? Gosh, which one will you choose??? J/K I couldn't resist... sorry :)

Good morning, everyone!

Once again, it looks like anything but Christmas outside. Those beautifully tinged orange/yellow leaves are hanging onto the trees and refusing to fall. As I said yesterday, the weather is certainly not helping. 7c (45F) with brighty, sunny skies. Temperatures are to reach 16c (61F). I do not recall such warm temperatures on November 9th.

Kim and I were discussing Christmas decorations yesterday evening - mainly the Christmas tree and musical lights. I managed to convince her to allow me to decorate on November 13th! Yes, I will be able to ring in the Christmas Season by listening to music and making the Season come alive in my apartment. Now, I just have to think of how I would like to decorate. There are a few options! Thankfully, it is a Sunday and football will be on, so I can have some trial and error.

Same thing here Brent... It is going up to about 65 today for us... yesterday I kid you not was 71!!! I also cannot remember a Nov this warm...

Good for you!!! I hope you have fun decorating!!!

Hope you have a great day too!!

Here it's soon dinner time.
And I dont know what to eat today..
I have been in the kitchen all day and haven't eaven been
thinking about dinner.. hehe..

Looking forward to pick up my DH at the airport in a few hours.
Haven't seen him since Sunday.
So much to do this weeks, and six kids in the house.
Three Birthday Parties this week - so Im a bit exhausted.

But I wont complain.. I love Birthdays! Hehe..

Well, I have to go and find some delicious dinner!

[I find it a bit hard to just jump into this tread, but are giving it a try]

I hope you find something great for dinner... I will be eating my cereal in a bit... 3 birthday parties WOW that's a lot!!! I know what you mean about jumping into this thread it is SUPER busy now!!!

WOW!!!!! this was wonderful... thank you Binger, thank you!

As we enter into the darkest months, there shines bright a community here. Community: the gathering of souls who believe in a common cause and celebrate it routinely. However, our little community is hardly routine. We hail from global corners. We have never spoken nor seen each other in person. We are as diverse as the universe, yet we speak a common language. We love a period of the year where the world stops for one moment and celebrates as one. Truly, there are those wonderful stories of the holidays- where strangers reach out and celebrate with charity that all too often is lacking the rest of the year. Look at the dysfunction that exists in our world and the pending darkness. Yet, all year long, here, our community is brilliant in love, and support, and friendship, and charity. In my darkest of days, I remembered: there is something bigger than this despair. It is friendship and love and the commonality of something that we celebrate, even if the rest of the world, only catches on for a few brief weeks. And it is fitting, that ever so close to Christmas, after the 21st of December and the longest night of the year, the world again joins us and goes into the light.
And so it has come to this, four days until the season

Binger, thanks for the great post. Even though the Internet is the repository of plenty of thoughtless and even hateful things, it also makes possible the sort of Christmas community we share here, and for that I'm truly grateful. A few years ago I never heard of you, and now all of you are part of my life every day.

Wednesday ... kinda tired and blue. Both Mr. and I are working too hard, I think, both at work and on personal projects, and there aren't many opportunities to relax. I'm hoping that'll ease up before Thanksgiving, but in Mr.'s case---the evening and weekend work just keeps coming, and I haven't been able to spend an evening with him since Saturday.

Thank you for passing along the news, even though it's bad news. Prayers are going up for Dawg and his parents.

We have a big music box with bells called MR Christmas. It shows people skating on the inside and plays a million Christmas tunes. William always wants it on. He likes to spot the dog that rotates around inside too.

Oh! I saw that at BJ's and would love to have one, but there is just no place to put it, and it's a bit pricey for this year. Mr. Christmas makes such wonderful Christmas items---I have their "Santa's Quartet" and a music box that allows you to play different songs by putting in different plastic discs.

The first word in your post sums this up: Brilliance!

Thank you , Binger, for a great Special Post!

This is weird. I forgot my password and so I haven't been able to log in here for like over a year; managed to get it back through some trial and error with old email accounts. Not sure if anyone remembers me as I wasn't very active, but it is good to be back nonetheless. :)

Welcome back!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, election day is behind me, and since there were no last-minute write-in candidates, and no angry mobs in the streets with torches and pitchforks, I am now the Mayor-Elect of Bellville, GA! Our present Mayor will keep the office until the end of the year. I'll be sworn in one day in the first week of January. Surreal.

It's suposed to be a beautiful day today. I wish daylight saving time was still in effect. I guess it's nice that the sun is up while I'm showering in the morning, but I'd prefer to have some daylight left after I get home from work. Oh, well. It's not up to me.

Or is it? Hmmmmm. I know some states don't participate in Daylight Saving Time. I wonder if we can get the city of Bellville to adopt Daylight Saving Time year round? I have a little pull with the council!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

We had to do a grocery run last night and low and behold!!
The eggnog has hit the shelves!!
Another sign that we are really closing in on the season!!

Of course, we had to pick one up and toast our first one of the 2011 season last night.

Cheers!!

Enjoy your Nog!

Good morning,

Work beckons soon, blech! I did a bunch of errands this a.m. including running to Kmart for a multi pack of clear white C7 lights for my window candles, they sell them for a pack of 8 for $2.30+/- compared to Rite Aid who had a 4 pack for $2.99. I was going to get more decorating done before work, but I will be shoulder deep in turkeys today and they weigh 50-60lbs a case I better conserve my energy for that. Listening to Music Choice right now, I have had it on non-stop when I can, to my wife's chagrin. She is starting to get into the spirit now but she was depressed that we "didn't have a Halloween this year." With the snowstorm and subsequent power outage. Hopefully the radio stations switch soon. Better go get ready for work.

Have a great day, see you at the Pines later on.
