Hello everyone. I have tons to catch up on AGAIN! Had my surgery last Wednesday, that went great but I was allergic to the antibotic they had put in my IV. I broke out into hives so bad my face, neck, chest , nose, eyes were very swollen.. had to go to urgent care that night and get a benadryl shot as well as steroid shot (in my butt..and I hate needles =0( ... they also gave me the epi pen in case my throat started to close up.. now Im on steroids for 12 days.. not liking the side effects, having trouble sleeping, very increased appetite, very hyper.. anyways cant wait to get back to myself. I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to be back on here again soon Christmas friends

:nice:

MsChristmas...so glad to see you posting again!! I have been wondering how your surgery went - hoping all is well. Sorry to hear you had an issue with the antibiotic & now steroids! I guess now you just have to "get through it!" I hope it all goes well! Hang in there!!

I forgot to tell y'all I tried to talk my Hubby into putting our one Christmas tree up in our Family room over the weekend but he wouldnt go for it =0/. This weekend we are painting both of the boys rooms (they want Santa to bring the, the Disney "Cars" beds) so Mommy & Daddy for their Christmas present are doing the painting and putting up the borders.. then next weekend we will put up our one tree.. the rest will go up the next weekend.. so much to look forward too! Its the mooost wonderful time of the yyearr!!!!!

LOVE IT!
Bah Humbug to the hubby who wouldn't put up the tree last weekend!!

I LOVE Hoss's!!! We have one just up the street from our house and we go there at least once a month with our good friends.

Yes, I do believe that it's his time to step down from coaching (actually, 3 years ago would've been good), but not like this.

You're so lucky! We have a Hoss's close to us, but not that close! We love it - we go there at least once a month, if not more.

As for the JoePa situation, it just makes me sick. They just announced he will be retiring at the end of the season. I don't see eye to eye on everything either, but it just is disgusting and sad. As a Penn Stat grad, I am still proud of my alma mater. I feel we will overcome this.

Sugar - Sure hope your family is doing better xo

((Hugs)) to all the furkids - Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Mouse, Palmer, Snowball, and all the furkids whose names I missed or dont know !!

Thanks CM3! Just when I thought everyone was feeling better, DH started getting sick last night. He is so sick now, he is actually dehydrated. He can't keep anything down. I just went to the store and got him some Gatorade. I am hoping he can keep that down. As for Ella, she is still Ella! Thanks for always remembering us. I always thinking about you and the furbabies as well!

Hi every one, today is my boyfriends birthday, and tomorrow is my exam

Happy Birthday to your boyfriend! Good luck on your exam! Don't be stressed! You will do great!

I have that GI appointment this morning **rolls eyes** and then afterwards I'm going straight to work.

Good luck at your appointment! Hope it goes well and I hope you have a great day!

sugar i'm so happy you had a good evening w/ your family. you deserve it w/ all your hard work!! GO GIRL!!!!

Thanks! We did have a great time! Hope you're doing well!

I just heard from Gabulldawg.

His father had a stroke while driving and will recover but he is not sure how well he will do during recovery. His mother was in the car and injured but she should be fine too.

He wanted me to pass this along and said he is thankful for everyone's concern. He will try to post later today and update all of you on the situation. He said he will also try to respond to everyone's messages as soon as he is able to.

Thank you CAH for passing a long this news and keeping us updated! Gaballdawg: So sorry to hear this news. I want you to know though that, even though I never had anyone in my family with a stroke, I've taken care of many people with the worst of strokes, under severe circumanstances, and have had wonderful outcomes. Please know that we are all continuning to pray for you, Brandi, and especially your parents for a speedy recovery. Be with your family right now, as we know that they need you. We miss you.

My 3 year old son is sick today (fever) so he is "helping" me baking cakes and muffins

Hope he feels better soon!

I'm thinking about ordering a Keurig coffee maker today. Do any of you have a Keurig? I'm debating between the Elite & the Platinum...leaning towards the platinum! I will probably keep it at work - then I won't have to run to the break room to warm my coffee several times a day!!! (can not drink luke warm coffee...)

I have one and LOVE it! DH and EA got it for me this past Mother's Day. It's the best gift they have ever given me. It's so nice to always have that hot cup of coffee and there so many things you can buy for it. It can't be beat!

Looking forward to pick up my DH at the airport in a few hours.

Have an enjoyable evening with your hubby!

Congrats Mayor Brad!

Hi everyone! Hope this finds you all well and I hope you're all having a great day! Not much going on here today. DH is sick now. Geez...we just can't win in this house! He actually think he has food posioning, not anything the rest of us have had. When we were at TGIFriday's last night, he even made the comment to me, "This burger doesn't taste like it normally does." When we went to bed, he wasn't feeling all that great and now he's been up sick since 1:30 am. I feel really bad for him. He can't keep anything down and he's getting dehydrated. I did just go to the store and he's finally keeping some Gatorade down. I hope this helps.

To follow up to my post yesterday, Joe Paterno, the Penn State football coach will be retiring at the end of the year. Again, I don't agree with everything that is going on either. The whole ordeal just makes me sick, but he does have a legacy at Penn State. He did have to go sometime I guess...

Lastly, thanks to Binger for the great 2nd post! It was very well said!

I will be popping in and out today. EA should be taking her afternoon nap after lunch. Expect me then!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, election day is behind me, and since there were no last-minute write-in candidates, and no angry mobs in the streets with torches and pitchforks, I am now the Mayor-Elect of Bellville, GA! Our present Mayor will keep the office until the end of the year. I'll be sworn in one day in the first week of January. Surreal.

It's suposed to be a beautiful day today. I wish daylight saving time was still in effect. I guess it's nice that the sun is up while I'm showering in the morning, but I'd prefer to have some daylight left after I get home from work. Oh, well. It's not up to me.

Or is it? Hmmmmm. I know some states don't participate in Daylight Saving Time. I wonder if we can get the city of Bellville to adopt Daylight Saving Time year round? I have a little pull with the council!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Congratulations, Brad! You will make a fantastic mayor! Good luck on adopting the DST year round. That would be a mighty fine accomplishment.

Thank you for the update CAH, that is very sad news, prayers and thoughts going out to Dawg's family

Hi everyone, sorry I have not been around much the last week, been somewhat overwhelmed with work and stress, but I'm not letting it crush my Christmas spirit.

Will catch up with everything here and hope everyone is well and full of the Christmas spirit! :tree:

God Bless

Congratulations Mayor Elect!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, thank you so much for the update on gabulldawg (Neal), CAH. We've all been concerned for he and his family.

Second......CONGRATS BRADMAC!!

Lastly, I had that GI appointment. The doctor explained the results that showed up in my September ultrasound (which lead to today's follow-up). He'd rather they do a non-invasive procedure (THANK GOD!) and see what that test results show and go from there. I'll be having an MRI on Tuesday which is (thankfully!) scheduled for AFTER work. Oh...and I also have to do some "collecting" and give it to LabCorp and then have them draw my blood.

Whew!

Well my local radio station is cheating. I had "what are you waiting for" up to 70 percent and an hour later it was down to 33 percent. So "right after Thanksgiving" is winning again with 37 percent. They've never started before black Friday before so I'm sure that's when they will start again.

That's not right! You have that link to the poll you can put up again? We have chatted it up so much that I am not sure I can find it! Ha ha!

Gotta get voting!

Well, you know what they say; "Vote early and often!" Maybe we should all go back and vote again.

Omg already at the Pines. Jayish is trying to impress Carl w a paus du lux!

Omg. Now coach is wearing the grass skirt and juggling nine fired twinkies. Things already out of control here.

Brilliance
As we enter into the darkest months, there shines bright a community here. Community: the gathering of souls who believe in a common cause and celebrate it routinely. However, our little community is hardly routine. We hail from global corners. We have never spoken nor seen each other in person. We are as diverse as the universe, yet we speak a common language. We love a period of the year where the world stops for one moment and celebrates as one. Truly, there are those wonderful stories of the holidays- where strangers reach out and celebrate with charity that all too often is lacking the rest of the year. Look at the dysfunction that exists in our world and the pending darkness. Yet, all year long, here, our community is brilliant in love, and support, and friendship, and charity. In my darkest of days, I remembered: there is something bigger than this despair. It is friendship and love and the commonality of something that we celebrate, even if the rest of the world, only catches on for a few brief weeks. And it is fitting, that ever so close to Christmas, after the 21st of December and the longest night of the year, the world again joins us and goes into the light.
And so it has come to this, four days until the season

(((Binger))) ......What can I say.....Wonderful, magnificent xo

My 2 year old granddaughter helped decorate the tree this morning. I love the way she clustered a bunch of ornaments on one branch. (I will fix it later) =)
