Christmas Countdown - 2011

Goood early early early morning everyone! did I say it was early...? well I just gave up at 3 am and decided to get up and get busy before work. I have the Christmas tree and mantel lights on and Christmas music in the background.....so soothing. hmm I may even get some coffee on,since I bought this great cinnabon limited edition creamer that taste just like a cinnimon roll! have a good morning everyone!

@cm3-I know we are alot alike!! what is strange is I worry alot but no one knows because I come off as being a calm person. Especially at work everyone tells me how I don't get stressed out..and I am like what? I am the most stressed out person in the room...I just have the gift of faking it I guess. Once I get something on my mind though um it just stays until I find something else to obsess over.! Luckily I have things to distract me! My brother from San Diego is still coming for my 37th birthday in 2 and a half weeks. Even though I saw him last week at my folks home in oregon I still am lookin forward to visiting with him at my own home. I still don't know what to do about thanksgiving...it looks like me and brandi will spend the first thanksigiving with our own families...but there is no way I will feel right if my dad is in the hospital and I am across the country. My dad has never spend the night in the hospital a day in his life until now,and he's 63! Maybe my dad will already be on the rehab floor but it's still the hospital,it appears he will have his left side be affected moreso than his right side,but at least his mind seems to have not been affected or his speech...but he has hardly talked at all,but alot of that is because he still has a respirator in!
Anyhow how did monday get here so fast! hopefully today will be fast..and besides it's the last week before thaksigving holidays..I can get through anything having that to look forward to!

And now I am going to the kitchen to make some roasted almonds!

Sitting trying to fifure out where all my outdoor decor is going as i bought 7 new bits this year. have kinda give up as i wood need the rest out 1st and its a little to early for that 1st as it might rain. so that the plan for saturday.
No pallets today as i have to go shop for my uncles birthday which is tomorrow and he was talking about a copy of a old style radio so think i know where i can get that but have to drive out of town . think am gonna take him for somthing to eat tomorrow evening as well.
So will do a few hours putting stiff in shop and then take of
Its really harder now with pallets as one of the guys that was on a goverment scheme left a week ago. his time was up and i can say i really miss him. he was one of the best i ever had with me
I have another one. but sad to say i have to stand over him when he is doing something.
As i left him a few weeks back to check lots of christmas stuff and have had 3 of then returned. to me that is not on. as i dont want to get a repution of selling bad stuff.
So rather that say anything as i know he does not care i just keep a eye on him ( hes a kinda fella that does not care about himself, his house, or nothing.) i wood see though it if i was the bonds of him but he is menth to be with me 40 hours and everyday think it bes about for 20
Any way have to go . panic on one of my older neibours blinds is not open yet so have to go check. as we have a neibourhood watch and keep lookout for the older ones

The lady is fine truth at one time did think she was not with us anymore. the girl with me was really started to panic as she called her 3 times and she looked so still in the bed (we have the keys of the older peoples houses , just in case)
I told the other girl to get out of the road and i went over to the bed and pulled the blankets down a bit and i could see she was breathing. thank god.. she was up during the night not feeling well and slept a few hours longer.. if anything had of been wrong . think the other girl wood have just lost it as she is a nervious kinda person
tell the truth my heart was in my mouth.. i hate it when that happens as you never know what your gonna find..

Good evening, Christmas family! Welcome to Christmas season 2011! I truly enjoyed reading every one of the posts from last night until now. Some of them were very funny and some very heartfelt. Not much going on here today. I slept in a little while, as I work tonight. The first night back is always the hardest. I've had coffee and hot chocolate both, already preparing for the night!

I've been watching Hallmark this afternoon and evening. The Steelers played early this afternoon. It was a good game - they won!

DH is working nights tonight as well and went to work around 4. They had a fire yesterday and he was late getting home. He hurt his shoulder yesterday - scratched it up pretty bad and it is bothering him today. He fell through a floor. He told me about it last night as we were eating dinner and of course I must have got that look on my face like any wife would. He says to me, "Dear, this kind of stuff happens at work all the time." Yea - I know it does, but I would rather not know about it. Hope he feels better soon.

Well, I hope you're all having a merry day. The Hallmark Channel always has the best movies. It's really getting me in the Christmas spirit! :yahoo:

sugar, your hubby is a real hero to so many, you must be so proud. please tell him i said thank you for his work!!

I see the Santa Clause is on... I have to admit I have never seen it...not a big Tim Allen fan,but I have it tivo'ed so I can fast forward it. Can everyone believe that thanksgiving is 12 days away? It seems the year is spent waiting on fall/Halloween and once Halloween passes it just goes by so fast. I heard from my mom tonight,and said Dad is awake and will hopefully get out of ICU tomorrow. Then he will start working with a physical therapist. My dad was in great shape,watched his diet,and looked so good for his age,,,his problem is plain ole genetics. he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure ate age 35...same as me... so this is a warning to me..but still if he took care of himself and still had a stroke..what is the use anyways..I am sorry for being like this tonight...Hopefully tomorrow when I get back in the swing of things I will be back to normal! Meanwhile I have to wash tons of clothes...watch some Christmas movies...and chill the rest of the night...I hope everyone has a great evening!

i understand exactly dawg about the genetics thing, but look @ it this way, your dad's good health probably contributed to his stroke NOT being more severe. please don't think i'm saying it wasn't severe, goodness no, butyour dad taking such good care of himself is good, he'll recover better quicker. i could give you a laundry list of genetics passed to me but atleast i've gotta heads up on it & do as your dad & you yourself do, take care of myself. still praying for your family, take care friend!!

Okay so I just checked my local 15 day forecast..and we are suppose to be like in the 80's al the way through the end of Novemeber! 20Degrees above average for this time of year..maybe it's too early to panic,but this is turning out to be a warm warm fall. I looked for the Forecast in the pacific NW and it's the opposite..so at least it will be seasonal when I am up there next week. I could see the snow in the mountains.ALthough it snows where my folks live it's more rain storms in the winter. they live in a valley but there is ski resort 2 hours away. I hope to go when I am up there if I have the time. Oh and we are 7 weeks away from baby due date... we have decided on the name... it's going to be Jordan after my father in laws middle name. I really have a feeling he is going to make an early arrival...talk about nervous!!! next weekend is the baby shower and we have already finished the room. I hope I remember everything I learned in class!! I don't get queezy easy so I don't worry about passing out or anything. does that really happend in real life I wonder or it is just on tv!! Gosh ! What an awful first day of the week at work. Very little radiology then goober city. Oh well. By the grace of God I got through it !!

Still kind of reeling about not being able to adopt that puppy. Bulldawg, you talk about obssessing ......well meet the Queen of Obssession !!

I will get over this but it really hurt. I don't understand why though. I didn't even know the puppy, had never even held her but I felt like I was going to be her "mommy". I am so crazy.

Anyway. Someone in our Christmas family told me (and I don't remember who it was) that maybe it worked out like this because there is going to be one who REALLY needs me. I would like to think that. My life is nothing if I don't share it with animals and take care of them.

I am listening to Music Choice Sounds of The Season. Eddy Arnold is singing Winter Wonderland. I started making out my Christmas cards and I already got one !! Thank you ((Ravenhardt)) !!!

Just getting into work...I am in a great mood today and have energy and ready to tackle everything head on.. I spoke with my trainer too and I have to work out an extra hour today after work. I think I have gained all the weight back I lost back during my deployment. but I was getting pretty underweight I just need to get back on a schedule with my work outs. As long as I can make it 3 times a week during the holidays I will be doing good! Hope everyone has a great monday morning!

dawg i'm sorry you & brandi will be apart on th.giving but it's hard when 2 families live so far apart & then a family illness too. ya'll will have a lifetime of th.givings together. & just think when you guys show up next year it'll be w/ new baby jordan. neither family will be able to contain themselves. I am having a dinner break at the moment. Still a bit of paperwork yet to do and then the rest of the evening is mine. I need to finish the Stephen King book I am currently reading as it is due at the library on Tuesday. I have been slogging through it for almost two weeks - this book is way too long at 1000+ pages . . . the end is near, though. If I get done in time, I can start addressing my Christmas cards

I love Stephen King! There was a marathon of his movies on AMC yesterday

That is so kind of you guys to look out for each other, it's become more of a rare thing nowadays, so very commendable! I hope to live in a community like that again one day!

Good Morning, Christmas friends!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I wish I could've been around more to ring in the beginning of the season!

We had some friends over Saturday afternoon, then computer troubles hit later in the evening. Luckily, my brother-in-law can remote in & solve our issues sometimes! I think we're good, now. Fingers crossed.

My weekend consisted of decorating and starting Christmas cards

I also have been feeling off, so I snuck in a nap or two.

We watched the Christmas Lodge, beautiful movie. A little sappy for my hubby's taste, but I enjoyed it w/ my box of kleenex!

I still have a lot to catch up on the countdown...so forgive me if I've missed anything.

That's Domino's...wish that was Pizza Hut - I would have demanded it!

Do any of the pizza delivery chains still use that policy? I thought I heard that the company that did that abandoned that policy because their drivers were getting into too many accidents trying to make the deliveries on time so they wouldn't be penalized.

Dominos did away with the "30 minutes or less guarantee" when a driver was involved in a fatal car accident. There was also several other accidents that involved lawsuits against the company.

I remember those days when they had that policy. We actually got a few free pizzas from them even though Dominos was right around the corner from us, they would be late at times. In fact that same Dominos is still there.
