I forgot to mention---My Christmas cactus apparently knows exactly when the season begins. I've been keeping an eye on it, and the first buds started to form on the 13th. There are three or four so far just starting to develop. It may be blooming by Thanksgiving, and I'm hoping it'll keep blooming well into December. I love that plant---it's the one and only house plant that has not died under my care. Not only is it still living, it's growing and thriving!

I forgot to mention-My poinsetta from last year is deader than a doornail( or is it More dead than a doornail?). I did everything the book said...it lived all through spring,I even cut it back and it began growing back, then one day last may it was done!! and there was no coming back! I have been meaning to get one at the store but oddly enough they are not here yet,but I did see a Christmas cactus but decided to wait on the poinsetta,I don't know why I try and try when it's quite obvious I don't have a green thumb.!
