My landlord just came by and dropped off our annual Christmas gift of multi-flavored popcorn and a gift certificate to Chilis! He is so nice!

Today will get up to 70 degrees and we are getting our new heater installed. We won't need it today but it will come in handy soon!

It is raining here in NE Ohio. I sure wish it would snow !!

I had a really, really bad allergy attack this morning, just could not stop sneezing even with prescription meds. Thankfully it did subside and I finally got some sleep. I could be Rudolph's twin sister though with my nose as red as it is !!

Raining here in Ontario too! Disappointing...something we will have to remember when the first snow storm hits!

I know what you mean SIT. I am also running out of time to watch my movies ! By now I have usually watched The Polar Express at least five times and this year I have only seen it once !!

I did love Joel Gray's performance in the Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol. There are many versions of it and I find that I like some part of all of them !!

I tend to like many versions of A Christmas Carol too!

My favorite animated ones are Mickey's Christmas Carol and Flintstones. Another kid friendly one I like, not animated but Muppet Christmas Carol.

Of course as mentioned, Patrick Stewart one is my favorite but I do like all the other versions too.

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great day. Not anything really new here. I'm getting ready to call in and give my greeting for the podcast.

Tonight is my DH's work Christmas party. It is usually pretty boring though.... :-? It is just a dinner and then we usually go out for drinks afterwards, but I have to work tonight, so we will be going home around 9 or 9:30. I feel bad for him that his night will be cut short, but I don't think he cares too much either. Like I said, it's pretty boring.

Well...as I said...nothing really going on here. I will check back in later.

I am going to a Christmas party late this afternoon, this one if for all the kids and their families that are a part of kids company. (this is where I am teaching some of the kids how to decorate cakes)

The Kings played well last night, they took over 40 shots but most were from the perimeter, Rask made some great saves, and the Kings looked a little snakebit at times missing a few open nets. I hope you enjoy the game tonight, its a shame you are probably going to miss out on seeing Milan Michalek, it looks like he may be out with a concussion (upper body injury as is listed now) caused by his own teammate.

They at least had their legs. Nobody seems to want to make a move through the perimeter right now either. It is frustrating to watch.

It is too bad that Michalek will not be in the lineup. Same for Chara, too. I've seen Chara play about three or four times and am always amazed at a lot of the things he does. Thanks, though. I am hoping the Bruins come full force and destroy the Sens! We'll see how it goes!

Just finishing up some laundry before bed, I am tired tonight, watched the Bruins defeat the LA Kings (sorry Brent) We were supposed to be watching a Christmas movie, but as is always the case lately, life gets in the way. Back to work for noon tomorrow, where I start 6 days in a row, before my next day off. I am starting to get a little nervous about surgery next week though.

I graduated last Friday and I had my school formal on Monday. Half of my friends are departing and going their separate ways. It's sad to see them go, but at least I can keep in touch with them on Facebook. My school formal was amazing. The atmosphere was electric. Everybody had the time of their lives.

Good morning MMC!!! Yep I am awake before 8AM EST. WOWZA!!!

I just woke up and decided not to roll over and pull the covers back over my head. Got loads to do and sleeping will not get them done. Although that would be funny to see, go to sleep and wake up and all is magically done.

Working on getting rid of a nasty chest and head cold.

Good news every one! my brother gets to go home TOMORROW hurray hurray!
I am beyond thrilled (oh bother, you can only use 3 smileys in one post, but i am really happy indeed!), now i have to get caught up on homework and prep for christmas, but it will be a great christmas, cause we can all be together, and that's really all that counts!

Wayne (Snow-in-Texas) talked about Sheetz all the time since he is from Maryland. He said he use to stop there every morning before work for coffee. I finally got to go to one when we made our visit to Maryland back in October. They have everything! =)


I love those types of convenience stores! We had Kwik Trips in the midwest, and they ruled =)

I also mentioned in the summer and we go to go there in October! In fact every time someone suggest a meeting, I mention that town. Really cool little town!

Be sure to add lots of baking goodies to your list. Remember, you and Snowflake are going to help me bake! I am sure some others here on MMC want to help?

things like this, little things,is why I love MMC. yes everyone has a facebook now a days, but how many "friends" really are there when you need just to vent or talk or whatever? here it's like we all are truly family and understand. up and downs, highs and lows,laughs and even a few tears, we care and love one another like crazy!!! and even the silly one's like me need cheering up from time to time. I think the LORD blessed us all the day he put it into Mr.Jeff's mind and heart to make MMC. I'm not always the best with words, but I know I am blessed with having to have met some of the nicest sweetest folks here on MMC and I am honored and blessed to call them all my friends and Christmas family. Just wanted to say that and now back to your regular scheduled programming of the Christmas Countdown forums...........LOL

Hello MMC!!! Ever so busy, baking, play rehearsals, work, parties!!! It is going far too fast for me and I cannot get in enough MMC time... Sadly I missed the Worlds BIGGEST Christmas Party, making too much Merry over here. Well all I can say is that I was way bummed about that. All is going well, just miss checking in here. Good afternoon, everyone!

It is a damp and dreary December day in Ottawa. The temperature is just above freezing and should increase as we head into the evening and overnight. Plenty of rain tomorrow. The good part? Well, the forecast calls for snow in less than a week. As long as there is about 5-10 cms, we will have a White Christmas after all!

Lunch is now over and we're on our way, descending towards the weekend! ... The final full weekend before Christmas! Now that is hard to believe!

I've been busy throughout the evenings for the past little while... Tonight, my roommate Mike and I are going to the Ottawa Senators vs. Boston Bruins game. Mike, being from Brampton, is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but he also enjoys watching the Bruins play. We'll both be cheering heavily for the Bruins. It should be great game!

Happy Wednesday! Feels like it should be friday! But, that's ok, I want the season to slow down anyways :wink:

This morning, on my drive into work, I saw a red extended cab truck with some sparkly stuff in the back end. As I got closer to it, I saw it was a decorated Christmas tree with tinsel...upright, with presents around the base, and a snowman standing up back there, too! It was the coolest thing, ever! I wonder how they secured the Christmas scene so perfectly. They also had garland wrapped around the antenna, which was bent outward, with a red mitten at the end of it, so as the truck was moving, it looked like someone was waving. Just think how many people a day get smiles from that:grin:Loved it!

So, unitentionally, I started collecting some Twas The Night Before Christmas books a few years back. I always loved having that story read to me by my parents as a child! I found another neat edition last year, bought it, and now I read them every Christmas Eve. Harlowe is the only one who listens, lol. I just ordered one off of Amazon that has Animotion. Can't wait to get it. Do any of you have any books like this?! I even found a decorative Santa book (that's really a storage box) to hold them.

Looking forward to our cookie baking marathon!!! Are we going straight to the Pines after?!

Well, I best get back to getting some work done then so I can see you guys later!!
