Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!
All morning I thought it was Friday, then Crown burst my bubble with his post. :sad:
We went to mom's last night and took supper. Her right arm is still immobile after her rotator cuff surgery last week, so she can't drive or do many things for herself. I'm left-handed, so it seems easy enough to me to brush you teeth and comb your hair with your left hand, but for some reason she's having a hard time with it. Shoot, it has to be hard to even button your pants with one hand.
And I let Jacob do a little more driving, too. He's getting better and better.

Well, I for one, didn't cringe! And I am 65 years old!!! However, I did wonder about the X part!!! Hahaha!
I've had my own (guestimated) countdown for the past month. I cannot wait until the debut of Christmas Blossoms. By the looks of it right now, we should have a record number of contributions this year... Especially since some of us have already experienced and shared early experiences of Christmas!

Well my sil's surgery is scheduled to start in 5 minutes. I have had butterflies all morning! My niece just called wondering if I had heard anything. Lol! I told her it wasn't supposed to be until 11...I guess everybody is just worried. I'm trying not to stress eat!!! Why does a big bag of Doritos just seem to make you feel better...at least for a little bit?? :lol:

Good morning everyone,
It's Thursday. One day from Friday. The 'Pines was spectacular yesterday. It's always great to celebrate the last 'Pines Day of Summer with everyone. A new season "officially" begins in Saturday! Speaking of which, it was another chilly morning in Ottawa. It seemed colder yesterday, but I noticed my breath this morning on the walk to the bus. No complaints, though. I love the smell of cold, fresh air!
Yesterday was a great day of progress for my knee. For once, I actually feel as if I am about a week from returning to the field. Of course, that is only my diagnosis. I have a physio appointment tonight. We'll see what he says. I'm pretty much able to do everything pain free now. The only issue is deep knee-bending. Hopefully physio can clear up any remaining inflammation and I'll be good to go very shortly.
Kim and I had a nice relaxing evening last night. We stayed home and rested following my workout. Our dinner was leftovers of delicious steak and potatoes. Mmmm. Tonight, I think it will just be pasta and garlic bread. Easy, but also delicious. All this talk of food is making me hungry!
The only unfortunate part about last night was that Kim's HP Laptop seems to have bit the dust. It's only been about a year and a half, however, it is stuck in sleep mode and the screen isn't working. Luckily, she is still under warranty. I guess she'll have to rely on her desktop for the next two weeks...
Well, I should get back to work. The sun is shining and the leaves are turning. There isn't much more to ask for here in Ottawa. Temperatures should reach about 19c... mid-60s. Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone! The weekend is almost here!
