Of course!!!Can I get in on this deal?
My dad has always made me laugh the whole time I was growing up.Tell your dad that this is SO FUNNY!!! I laughed so hard!
What a great story! I would love to have Norman as a neighbor! That reminds me of our old friend Norman, who's been gone since 1997. He lived in the same neighborhood all his life, and he knew every pet in his neighborhood. He scattered birdseed for the birds, and always carried dog treats in his pockets when he took a walk. After he passed away and we were cleaning out his house (he had no family; Mr. was his closest friend), we noticed the local pets would "visit" his house, expecting a treat.
Which reminds me of a favorite Norman story: Once one of Norman's neighbors annoyed him by parking his car where it was in Norman's way, and ignoring Norman's polite requests to move it. Finally Norman said, "If you don't move the car, I'm going to throw cat-sicles into your backyard!" The guy just laughed. So Norman made up ice cubes with catnip frozen in the middle, and tossed a bunch of them into the guy's backyard that night. The ice cubes melted, and the catnip attracted every stray cat in town, and they all got "drunk" and wailed in the guy's backyard all night. He moved the car the next day!
Norman was a big Christmas fan, too ... he would have loved this forum.
I hear that from a lot of people. I just don't get it but I guess they are dealing with something different that causes them not to like the holidays. It's my cure all to everything for me!I was listening to the radio the other day and the host of the radio show came on and said, "Don't you just wish it was Wednesday already? That Christmas was all over? I do!" My mom and I sat there and stared at each other with our mouths wide open! No, we don't wish it was over! We wait for this time of year all year long!!!
Good to see you, Shellie!this old one is old like 10 years but its goes so well. my laptop i dropped, it well it fell of the sofa and cracked the screen i can only see a 1/3 lol
but santa is bringing a new one
I guess I need to hop in the shower and get ready to head out for some last minute shopping. Oy my nerves!!
I seem to get more and more sentimental about Christmas as time moves on.
As the years mount and my past becomes longer than my future, this time gets to be more and more precious.
....and thanks to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks ever so much for counting down with me for another year.
And may we continue for many years to come "if the fates allow".
Good evening, MMC!
We just finished watching Christmas Vacation about an hour ago and right after we finished we popped in Miracle on 34th Street. I LOVE Christmas!!!
I still cannot believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve (gee I bet you're sick of me saying that)! My favorite day of the year, woo hoo!!! All of the food is prepped and ready to go.
I get to open a couple of gifts from my brother, aunt/uncle, and my grandpa tomorrow. The rest is for when Santa comes tomorrow night!
I'll be tracking him all day tomorrow!!!
Good night, everyone. Sleep well, sweet dreams. The next time I chat with you all it'll be Christmas Eve here!
Thanks ever so much for counting down with me for another year.
And may we continue for many years to come "if the fates allow".

A really nice day today. I got up when my husband left at 5:30 and stayed up. I got on and worked to make up some lines then waited to hear from the vet. Wishbone continues to respond very well to the therapy he is on and is eating like a horse. So at least it IS hopeful somewhat. I miss him so much.
I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve !! Right now I am getting ready to settle in and watch The Bishop's Wife on Turner Classic Movie channel.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #42
Well, Good Morning, Friends most dear.
"The Eve of Christmas, a wonderous time,
when love is the reason and love is the rhyme.
The Eve of Christmas when spirits take flight.
That once a year night before -
that once a year Christmas Day."
And thus our count reaches the end:
Days to Christmas Day: 1
Long time coming -- yet it came so fast.
{{ brushes away a tear }}
I seem to get more and more sentimental about Christmas as time moves on.
As the years mount and my past becomes longer than my future, this time gets to be more and more precious.
Thanks ever so much for counting down with me for another year.
And may we continue for many years to come "if the fates allow".
Have a Marvelous Monday, an Exciting Eve and may your Christmas Day tomorrow be all you hoped for in every way, Folks!

Lots of post from yesterday so I didn't get a chance to read everything. I have a busy day preparing for lots of company this evening and of course, waiting for Santa!!!!!
My tradition every Christmas Eve is to watch Santa come across the radar during the weather forecast! I have been doing that since I was a little kid, then shared that tradition with my kids, now I have no little kids living here so I watch it with Wayne. Guess what? I still jump up and down all giddy when I see him!!!

Merry Christmas Eve MMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be an okay day here in Central Indy but we are all still freaked out about Wednesday. This morning they are saying that it's going to start off as freezing rain and then 8 inches of snow. Fun. I have to make my baked corn this morning and then I'll play santa and pass out all of the candy to my neighbors. Then we will be heading out to my sister's house for our Christmas Eve celebrations. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
