Christmas Countdown - 2012

Sunday hello! Hot and sunny here, maybe a shower or thunderstorm later. I've got a few things to do around the house, but I'm dragging my feet about doing them.

Good morning my Christmas movie watching friends!!!! Seems like a good day to work on my afghan & watch Christmas movies!!!!

I started a new Christmas afghan recently. It's a pretty pattern, but there are dozens of ends to be worked in, and I finally put it away because it was no fun. I'm switching to winter hats temporarily (to send to the homeless shelter later in the year), then I'll pick out a more enjoyable afghan pattern and get the yarn for it. A couple of the patterns I want to do use special Christmas yarn, which I hope will be on the craft store shelves soon. If not, I could order it online.

Well, let's just say my wife threw me a curveball yesterday....

I had reservations to a nice place to go eat and everything planned out....and yesterday, right before it was time to go, she looked at me and said....

"I know you really don't want to go and eat at that fancy place. Besdides, that's not us, anyways. Why don't we go eat, go to Hobby Lobby and look at Christmas decorations, and then go to a movie?"

Take away her ravishing good looks, her funny personality, and her genuine heart......and that girl's compassion for others still makes her a great catch.

About the movie...we went to see Ted. If you like raunchy comedy, rent it. If you are easily offended....stay far away. FAR!

CAH and SIT....bikes.....I have one...ride it often....and I LOVE IT!

You know what's funny? I woke up this morning and didn't have any coffee...I thought I had an extra container, but I guess Binger got it!

Hmmm . . . I wonder if that is where my coffee creamer went?

Very muggy here today, we had just enough rain to make it that way.
The rain was nice, unfortunately most of it fell south east of us. It is so needed here right now.

Now, since I have the rest of the day off, I can relax and do what ever I want!!! made a large mac salad so do not even have to cook.

We have the same weather and conditions! I hope you get the rain you need - we have a 40 percent chance of storms today, but so far all the rain has been north and south of us

Suggestion: Find a pattern that uses a variegated yarn in shades of blue. That way you get the different shades, but fewer ends to work in!

It feels nice out this morning! It will get hot later but right now I am on the porch with the kitties and drinking coffee.

Wayne and I have been walking every day for a couple of weeks and now today he is limping. He pulled a muscle in his leg. Hopefully it's temporary and he will be okay soon. I don't like to walk outside alone but I can jump on my treadmill instead. I just rather be outdoors to walk. I hope his leg heals soon!

Maybe he can drive the car next to me while I walk. :lol:

Actually my leg is fine, it wasn't a pulled muscle, just my morning aches, it's called getting old.:lol:. It gets better as I get moving around. It might be just not used to all the extra walking we have been doing.

Good afternoon,

Just sitting, relaxing, watching the Sox, nothing like a ballgame on TV during a lazy summer day. Did a few errands earlier, which included going to Koran's Farm got some fresh native peaches and looked at their selection of Christmas stuff, which included lots of Jim Shore Christmas and Thanksgiving stuff, Possible Dreams Santa Claus, Byer's Choice Carolers, and a bunch of Yankee and Kringle candles. Made me think of how close Christmas is getting. Going to be eating well tonight, my wife is making her homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob on the grill, and of course gravy. YUM!
