I have many loves that most people IRL don't know about: Christmas, Walt Disney World, weddings, names. I just keep it to myself unless it comes up in regular conversation. I have boards to go to for all of my loves & just share it with those on the boards. That way I don't drive DH crazy!
My mom just LOVES Disney World and Disneyland! She grew up a couple of blocks away from Disneyland and sang in a choir for the grand opening of it. (long time ago!) She feels about Disney the way I feel about Christmas. She is a great grandma now and she still feels "It's the Happiest Place on Earth"! She took my kids a few times (Disney World and Disneyland) and now we are ready to take her great grandchildren (my grandchildren). We hope to visit it again real soon!
You are so welcome. I hope all these tests only come back with good news. You are such an inspiration.
I agree with you about Seawaters!

Good morning all! I did not sleep as good last night,so I decided to just go ahead and get up before I overslept. I am finally catching up on missed sleep from last week I guess. It is cool and 44F outside and clear, when I let the dog out just now I noticed how clear it was. My mom and older sister are flying in town today around 430. I am looking forward to seeing them although I know I will really be missing my dad...I talk to him almost every day,I just know he wishes he was up to come down and visit. I just have to look foward to next year when he can come, otherwise I get depressed just thinking about it. I hope everyone has a good thursday!!

I know how you feel about your dad. It is so difficult to see a loved one not themselves. Prayers continue xo

I woke up to rain, too - watch out later in the day and into tonight - we have 1 to 3 inches of snow forecast for us and what we get you usually get a bit of, too.

Hi Meceka !! We are in for the same weather since we are neighbors !! I can't wait for the Winter to be more normal !! (((Hugs))) to you, Palmer, Mouse, and all your fukids xoxo

My mom called the doctor first thing this morning and she has an appointment to get the lump on her throat looked at in an hour and a half. So please, keep her in your thoughts in prayers for that. Then she has her other appointment a couple of hours later, but they won't know anything for that then.

(((Jennifer))) I just touched the screen while I prayed for your mom. xo I understand how you feel completely. It is so hard when someone we love is facing health issues xo

The local paper won't show much unless you subscribe, so I captured a few images:

Announcement last week

Swearing-in

Giving the Key to the City to the former mayor

All the guys in the plant here congratulated (and teased) me this morning, and I've gotten many phone calls and pats on the back around town. I know I've kidded around about it here, but all the attention I've gotten here at home recently is starting to make me a little nervous!

You look so distinguished !!!! But where are the Spock ears ?????
Congratulations again, Brad. You are going to be FANTASTIC !!! XO

My mom got great news!!! The lump is either a benign cyst (which he said 90% are) or thyroid cancer. If it is simply the cyst, it can be drained. If it is thyroid cancer, it is 100% curable.

One appointment down, one to go....

Good afternoon, Christmas family

It seems like I have been remiss in my devotion to you all and our Christmas home lately. I am sorry. It seems all I do anymore is play with my Ipod. I have been playing a couple of games. One is Plants versus Zombies and the other is Animals versus Zombies. Neither is violent or graphic - The zombies in both are comical and actually kind of silly looking but I am hooked on playing them !

It is rainy here today but like Made and Meceka we are supposed to be getting very seasonable weather starting tomorrow and through the weekend. I myself cant wait !!! I am once again starting to have a small issue with asthma and more frequent migraines. I can take the migraines, but breathing problems are the worst for me. It will get better though. I think it is just that it has been SO wet lately !

Nothing much going on here. I get my hair done this Saturday and I can't wait for that either !! I won't tell you what I look like because you wouldn't like how I describe me !! But it isn't good.

Wish, Ivy, Clancy, Smokey and Lily are all doing very well. If everything goes okay, Wish will be 16 in August !! That is quite old for a canine. As long as he acts okay and is eating and feeling okay, those are the main things. I am off tomorrow and Saturday and my husband and I have (hopefully) some running to do. I need to get some screen covers for my Ipod and I want to look at laptops. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding a brand of laptop and also how many GB should I look for ?? I want it to have plenty of memory.

(((Seawaters))) - You are such and amazing person. Though you are not nearly old enough, you remind me of my mother. She was extremely brave and strong. I know inside perhaps you might be scared (I would be completely goonbabbles). Please know I talk about you nonstop to Christ and Padre Pio. We are all with you. Did you see, I put you in my signature !! xoxo

(((Jennifer))) Praying for your dear mom xo

(((Snowflake))) I am so HAPPY about your dianosis !! I too am still very, very worried about little Harlowe xo Praying for her xoxo

(((Gabulldawg))) - Praying for your dad and for you to be able to sleep. You and I are both insomniacs and sometimes that can be so unpleasant. Praying for you and Brandi, Jordan and of course, Snowflake xo

(((Xmas))) - Praying that your ankle feels better and that it will not be serious xo

(((Shellie))) Praying for your neighbor. The poor thing !! Pain is tough at any age but when a person is older I think it is even harder to bear xo

(((Sugar))) - Please forgive me. I can't remember if you are feeling okay or not. If not, I hope you will be soon xoxo

(((Brad))) - I am so happy for you !! I know your city now has the BEST Mayor ever !! I am still praying for and thinking of Gail and your brother's girlfriend xo

(((HUGS))) to Harlowe, Snickers, Hobbs, Ella, Gomez, Snowball, Mouse, Palmer, and of course to all furkids everywhere xoxo

(((Made))) - I have not forgotten your niece !! Praying for her still xo

((Binger and Crown)) - You are both so amazing !! I am so honored to be one of your Christmas friends !! And I can't wait for DARLENE LOVE this year !!!!!!

Take care, Christmas family. I will check in throughout the day (Even while I am working ......Shhhhhhhhhh!!)

Good afternoon, MMC! I hope you're all having a good day.

Nothing new. DH and I have some around to go do. Today
is my day off and I really needed It! It was so busy at work last night.

Well, I will get caught up on here later. Ttyl.

OMG....suddenly they are calling for 4-7 inches of snow tonight through tomorrow. They are comparing this to a massive snowstorm that hit last February and are saying that this could potentially be a huge thing. Where I live (Pittsburgh) is supposed to get the tail end of it and it is supposed to be all snow.

You better believe I'm not driving to school tomorrow if it does this! Last winter I came out of class (which had no windows in the room) and there were at least a couple of inches covering the roads. I kept getting stuck, was spinning out, and I kept going in the other lane! I am not risking it again because that was scary.

That is great news really hope the 2nd ones is the same result good

If you weren't nervous I'd think I would question it, but being you are just means you care about the position you are in and doing a good job. I am sure you will, it seems to me that by your posts you are a funny man, so you know how to find humor in the world around you. You are caring - just read thru your posts how your care for ALL your family. You are a reliable man - you always lend a hand when you care at your families store. I think you will be a wonderful Mayor.

And i 2nd that (think that is the right phrase)

jennifer91: I will keep praying for your mom!

caninemom3: thank you for always thinking of Mouse, Palmer and the rest of my fur kids - big, big hugs back to you, Wish, Clancy, Ivy, Smokey and Lily! ((((hugs))))

Good afternoon, MMC!

Lots of rain has been coming down - still no snow, but they have upped the amount we are expected to get. There might be some freezing rain, too. Ugh! Glad I work from home the rest of the week! My organizing is going well - still a lot to do, but I was able to get rid of 4 brown grocery bags full of stuff and two small wooden cabinets the other day. I am exhausted today - haven't slept well the past few days and I took allergy meds on top - I could really go for a big nap right now, but I know if I do, I will not sleep tonight at all. The latest recipe I am trying out for future inclusion in my holidays foods is luscious lemon bars. They look yummy!

Have a MERRY afternoon and stay safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how many GB should I look for ?? I want it to have plenty of memory. [/I][/B]

I would recommend a Mac. Especially since you like your iPod so much. I know they generally come with a higher price tag but you can get some good deals. Go here and look at refurbished deals. They are just as good because they are practically brand new and it comes with the same warranty. I got a Macbook Pro for my girlfriend for Christmas for about $300 less then it would have been new. I forgot to add the link. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals?afid=p219|GOUS&cid=AOS-US-KWG

Either way I would get at least 4GB of ram and at least 500GB hard drive on whichever you decide.

Be careful in it and stay in as much as you can. Look at the bright side, it'll look like Christmas. And ps.-So glad to hear that your mom got good news. I'll keep thinking of her until you hear a final word.

Seawaters-Just want you to know I'm still thinking of you and wishing you well!

Xmas-I hope your ankle is going to be ok and that it's nothing too serious.

And lastly I want to thank everyone for their advice on keeping the Christmas spirit all year long. I do most of my reading on my phone and there is no way to do multi quotes so I lose track of what I've read and the specifics of what people have written. Rest assure that I did read them all and take them to heart. I even bought the Zen of Snow app I think Shellie told me about? I think I'm going to take bits and pieces of advice from all, save certain movies just for the season and watch others all year long. Listen to the music when it strikes my fancy. Keep certain knick knacks around just for me, and celebrate it always. I know I won't lose any of the magic, can you imagine what if that special feeling everyone shares during the "season" was shared all year long? It'd be a different world!

I'll be staying on these forums celebrating with you all year long. I'll bring my girlfriend in on the fun respectfully when I think she'd enjoy it. Most importantly I'm keeping the spirit with me every second of every day!:sparkle:

My boys love Plants vs Zombies, thanks to my brother in law. We all like playing with our toys we got for Christmas, no apologies necessary.

CM3, here is the picture of Bradmac being sworn in wearing his Spock ears. See? He wasn't going to let you down! (my son photoshopped this for me). cheesy

Good afternoon,

I am back from my running around, the x-ray showed I have bone spurs in my heel, but now I have an appointment with a podiatrist tomorrow to make sure there isn't a tendon issue and see what else is wrong. I picked up my crutches also, wow it is a lot of work to move with them, my arms are exhausted. I ran to work to drop off my dr note, you walk in with crutches, you are the most popular person there, everyone around was asking me what was wrong. Of course my best friends there I couldn't talk to because they were too busy, oh well. I will see them soon enough. So off from work again tomorrow, and back down to downtown Springfield again. I did get some Sweetarts on the ride home, they are scrumptious.

Enjoy the day!
