Good evening, friends~

I'm heading to The Pines, now!! Sounds like the party is in full swing!
Save me some food & drinks, and I'll need some of that strong coffee blend of Carl's for the trip back home!

Thank you again for all of the prayers. Harlowe is at the vet now having more tests run. They think it could be Addison's Disease. At this point, I would welcome a diagnosis. Then we could make her better. I can't wait to get her back home later tonight. She will be prescribed some medicine to stimulate her appetite, so we can finally get her eating again, hopefully by tomorrow.

I got some really good news today, my latest biopsy came back "negative" for melanoma. Thank God for that. And thank you for all of your thoughts & prayers, they were such a big help! And such a comfort to me. xo

Well, better stop typing so I can meet you at View attachment 1095 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Catch you all in a few!

Stacey

I am glad your tests came back negative, I will keep Harlowe in my thoughts.

lauriebear (I think it was you who won the DVDs from Carl last week), don't forget to bring the Outtakes from the 'Pines DVD tonight! I'm heading out with the DVD projector! Save me a hammock and a Fired Twinkie. Do I have to bring my own towel for the pool?

MC Holy Tomatoes!!!! Carl locked me in the closet last night, I couldn't get out - I heard all the fun, I will smuggle that DVD in next week shhhhhhhhh no one tell Carl our plans!!! I was sure cramped in there, he didn't let me out until this morning!!! Fired Twinkis sure don't taste the same cold!!!!

I found a stack of these as well!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys showed up at the Pines wanting Carl to join their little circus...thought they could bribe him with this cute reindeer.
Carl was tempted until they made the mistake of telling him that camels do not drink coffee or eat fired twinkies! Those guys can sure make a circus trailer move fast, must of been the angry camel trying to run them down!!

You two (CS & CAH) are WAY FUNNY!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy brought home the paper yesterday. Our area is so small, the local paper only comes out once a week! I was on the front page being sworn in, and there was another article further in with pictures of me giving a plaque and key to the city to the former mayor. More celebrity!

It's finally a little cool outside, and I love it!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Dang paparazzi, I hope you get use to it. cheesy

Okay Made and Coach, dancing on the table is one thing but what the heck where you thinking when you did this???? =)

My wife thinks I am horrible when I laugh at people hurting themselves when they do stupid things to themselves, That was funny!

Good morning,

I am getting ready to leave for my x-rays, it is a slushy rainy mess out here MC. Just finished watching Disney's A Christmas Carol while getting ready. My heel is still hurting, can't put any weight on it though.

My thoughts are with you Seawaters.

I must head out, talk to all of you later.

Make sure your wife never goes into a law enforcement, fire/rescue, or EMS field.

Yep, they did it to themselves! The follow up was they were not seriously injured but it looked bad!

It's an old video that has been circulating for years and everyone keeps re-posting it.

Well the table held every time we practiced it here at my apartment building. Apparently the tables at the pines just aren't as strong.

You mean to tell me you have done this before? I wonder what Carl puts in your coffee to make you so daring?

You noticed Carl was taking the video and with all that screaming all he could say, "you guys okay"? and just kept filming.

I'm back to work after being sick again yesterday. I spent most of yesterday sleeping, but I seem to be doing much better today. I hope everyone is having a better start to their year than I am. At least the rest of the year will look good by comparison!

Of course!!!! You know a boy scout has to be prepared and you never know when you'll have to help an injured person off a roof without a ladder.

Those of you that are vetarans, does the "special" leave, just a bit, because you are living it all year long and not just for 2 or so months out of the year?

I take a break from too much Christmas, come January 1. I do go on the boards & look for bargains for the following Christmas, but I stop listening to Christmas music & watching Christmas movies. Around Easter & start to get the fever again & I might watch some Christmas cartoons with DD. I started listening to my Christmas music full time in August when school started, & I think that was a bit too soon, because I really was kind of tired of it by the time the local radio station started playing it in December.

I have many loves that most people IRL don't know about: Christmas, Walt Disney World, weddings, names. I just keep it to myself unless it comes up in regular conversation. I have boards to go to for all of my loves & just share it with those on the boards. That way I don't drive DH crazy!

Hello everyone. We continue to have a very odd winter. It's been too warm all week but the forecast is for us to get 3 inches of snow tonight and a high temp of 26 tomorrow. I wish we would get a foot of snow.
Odd weather here too. It was up in the mid 60's yesterday then dropped to freezing temps today and will stay in the lower 40's with north winds blowing. I wish we could get some snow!

I hope it's nothing serious.

Hmm... *note to self* - No more Boy Scouts for my grandson!

Catching up & in-general

WOW!!! You, your school, and your students are so lucky!!! It is sad, though, that we have to depend on other contributions to do the jobs we need to do.

SW, yes, but on the other hand at least we all have the opportunity to reach for our goals / dreams. And there are wonderful people like teachers to help us get there.

Sending you some will power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
......as I head over to the Walgreens on the corner to buy my own stash... Sorry Brad, I love them too!! Maybe we'll need a candy support group?!

May the best team win!!!!
That being said, GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um, where do we sign up for this candy support group please!!!

Love the Green & Red theme SF!!! GO GIANTS

Life is a continuous soundtrack.

Music is the common denominator of our collective life experience. If we have experienced something, observed something, or otherwise had contact with something, chances are there's a song about it. Corporate vampire radio just won't play but perhaps one eighth of what's out there. I do my best to find and share the rest here and elsewhere.

This is quite poignant and so very true!!! Thx RJD

They can treat this Addison's Disease right? I sure hope so. Praying for you little one.

Wonderful news about your biopsy!!! So happy for you.

Great post about Christmas, LB!!!

Thank you SW!!!

Today looks like it will be slow at work which I guess is good because I need to catch up on paperwork. I just got off the phone with my mom and sister and they are getting ready to board the plane in portland. I am looking forward to eating my mom's cooking again. I sure misssed it at Christmas this past year. Just noticed we are almost under 300 days to xmas season 2012!!! I bet we get to 50k posts on this thread too!!

Gdawg!!! That is so awesome your family is coming in, I know you wish your Dad could be there too, it might be hard, but maybe then when you do all get together it will be that much sweeter.

Right I miss that we do not have "a goal" this year, I understand but it was sure fun wondering who was going to be the one to hit 20K and when Made did it that was SOOOO cool and then he hit the 25K during our Countdown to the season that was way extra special!!!

Personally I was hoping for 45K total this year in this thread alone, hmmm, I wonder what the future holds!!! That is the best thing about the future, you don't know whats next, it can be anything you want it to be, all you have to do is go for it!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

WOW now we have two Celebrities!!! You and CARL!!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!!

Good morning, MMC! I have one class this morning (which I didn't make it to Tuesday because I was sick) so hopefully it goes by quickly. This has truly been the longest week of my life and I cannot wait until evening tomorrow when I can finally relax. My mom called the doctor first thing this morning and she has an appointment to get the lump on her throat looked at in an hour and a half. So please, keep her in your thoughts in prayers for that. Then she has her other appointment a couple of hours later, but they won't know anything for that then.

I really think this thread is going to break some major records this year. I cannot believe that it's mid-January and we are still posting pages and pages a day. I love this forum because everyone truly posts genuine comments and not things just to increase the post count. I have seen that so many other places and I love that MMC is filled with genuine people that actually read everyone's posts!

Have a good day!!

Jennifer I will be thinking of your mom and praying for your family. I know this is a wonderful place and I thank God I "stumbled" onto it!!! We are happy you did too.

Good morning,

I am getting ready to leave for my x-rays, it is a slushy rainy mess out here MC. Just finished watching Disney's A Christmas Carol while getting ready. My heel is still hurting, can't put any weight on it though.

I watched that the other day, I like that version.

Update: I am SO SORE!!! After the biopsies (which took a little longer than expected), I had to have another mammogram!!! Talk about pain!!! Then I started bleeding again. So they hurried and took me back into the "surgery" room to stop the bleeding with, can you guess??? Super glue!!! You cannot imagine how much THAT hurts when it starts to dry and crackle!!! I will be sore for a few days and I should know something by Friday. My doctor is so good about that!!! I do have to tell you that I have had SUCH PEACE about everything, except the pain, of course!!! And I won't do the hand jive or charades for a long time!!! From the bottom of my heart: Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts!!!

You are so welcome. I hope all these tests only come back with good news. You are such an inspiration.

what is the name of the paper? Do you think it is online? How do you like being Mayor so far?

As Dawg asked, is there an online paper? If not, can you scan the article and post it here?

Very exciting year for you!

The local paper won't show much unless you subscribe, so I captured a few images:

Giving the Key to the City to the former mayor

All the guys in the plant here congratulated (and teased) me this morning, and I've gotten many phone calls and pats on the back around town. I know I've kidded around about it here, but all the attention I've gotten here at home recently is starting to make me a little nervous!

And have I mentioned that I like your sig? The Eagles are the BEST! cheesy

I worked at WDW... I was Dale in the duo Chip & Dale!!! What a great summer job that was!!!

If you weren't nervous I'd think I would question it, but being you are just means you care about the position you are in and doing a good job. I am sure you will, it seems to me that by your posts you are a funny man, so you know how to find humor in the world around you. You are caring - just read thru your posts how your care for ALL your family. You are a reliable man - you always lend a hand when you care at your families store. I think you will be a wonderful Mayor.

Thanks, I love them too Um, in the words of CAH.... Note **To All tho**** The Eagles the Band NOT the FootBall team...... One of the dreaded enemies of the New York Football GIANTS!!!
