Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good evening, Christmas family !
This has been such a WONDERUL first day of the year in part because I didn't have to work today hence no goobers !!! There will be PLENTY of those tomorrow.
I keep finding wonderful pictures of Santa and his polar bears so please forgive me if I keep changing my avatar / signature !!! I just want all my Christmas family to see them !! xo
Does anyone here have experience with Ipod Touch ?? I want to try and make custom wallpapers for mine as I really dont like any of the standard ones offered. I have logged onto YouTube and tried to follow the directions for doing this but it isn't working. If anyone has any tips, I would really really appreciate it !!

I know that, but I thought you meant about replying in the 2011 countdown. If there is a place to do it, I haven't been able to. If I am misunderstanding you, sorry.

I am so happy your first day of the year is going good so far! I was wondering how you were feeling.
Keep changing your avatar/signature. I enjoy seeing them!
I make mine on my computer using Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Once I make it, I save it to my computer and email it to myself. Then I check my email with my iPod Touch, save it, and then I can use it as wallpaper.

I am looking through the list now to see if I recognize a few from my childhood. You know what? My dad still has all mine from when I was little! I will have to go through his, LITERALLY, thousands of albums to find them!

Forgive me if this sounds like moaning---I've got something on my mind.
I love to "read the news" here every day, but I'm getting concerned that it's going to be too difficult to keep up this year, with the emphasis on increasing the post count. I like to drop by for a relaxing visit with friends, but I don't always have the chance to click through 20 or 30 pages to keep caught up. I don't want to find that I'm losing track of what's going on with all of you when there's not enough time to read all the posts. Those will be sad days.
Don't think I'm a party-pooper if I keep using multi-quotes. It helps me keep track of things I want to reply to. I'm not a super-poster, so forgive me if I'm not pumping up the count enough. It looks like that may become the primary goal of the Countdown, and that worries me a little. I enjoy getting together with all of you here more than trying to beat the post count, and I'll miss you all on those days when I don't have time to catch up. The Countdown has been an important part of my day for the better part of two years now, but this year I may be out of my depth. I hope that doesn't happen. You all mean a lot to me.

RJD, I recognize the Johnny Quest 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Adventures in Space and Sound. That was ones my brother probably listened to. My dad still has them. A few others look vaguely familiar.

Tomorrow is my last day off and to tell you the truth I am sooo ready to go back and get on a routine. I have been off since the 7th of dec!! I am working straight through until July then I am taking one week then 2 weeks in october to leaf peep up north and 2 weeks at Christmas..or at least that is the plan.things always have a way of not going by plans..oh well hope eveyone has had a great 1st day of the year.
well, I did win 2 rounds but my eldest walked off with the trophy this time!
(we have a trophy that who ever wins the most games played that day gets to take it home until we get a chance to play again!)

If I am not mistaken Dinsdale Kringle, the proprietor at Santas Working Overtime, is also the head guy over at Kiddie Records. You can like Kiddie Records Weekly on FaceBook and get advance notices on free offerings before they become subscription only.
Dinsdale is a member here at MMC as well. I'm doing my best to get all of the out of print LPs downloaded before midnight!

yes, I noticed there was a lot of football on TV today. Never follow it myself, prefer the Canadian game of hockey.

Congratulations on your wins! You might have mentioned it already but what games are you playing?
When I was a teenager we spent a whole day putting them all in alphabetical order but he has collected a WHOLE lot more since then. I am not sure if he kept up with filing them or stock piled them in another location. I will have to find out.
