Sometime during the last day or so we ran over 400,000 (Posts: 400,450 right now) total posts here at MMC. We are making a run for half a million at a steady rate!

MMC rates as third in activity of forums of which I am a member. The other two are non-Christmas.
that is a lot of posts!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful day so far. I met my cousin for some lunch before heading to classes this afternoon. My mom has an appointment tomorrow with the specialist to see if they can figure out what is going on. Probably won't know much unless she has tests done.

I think this has been the longest week of my life and it's only Wednesday!

Xmas365 - I will pray that you can have some relief and figure out what is going on. Hope it is nothing serious!

I will pray that your mom finds something out tomorrow. Please keep us updated!

Just got done taking the tree down. I did not put it back up in the attic,I just stored it in the bottom of the downstaires closet. Next year it will make it so much easier for fast put up too.

That sounds like a smart idea to me!

So much for a good day. My mom found a hard lump on her throat. And another doctor appointment she has to make. :(

I'm so sorry to hear this. God Bless you, your mom, and your family. I'll be praying hard! :%

That's great news! Thank for keeping us updated on this, RJD! :-D

So I have a question for all of you Christmas lovers.

I asked my girlfriend last night if she was going to get tired of all of my Christmas talk. She says "as long as it doesn't go until the summer" and laughs. I'm like of course it is.

She responds as long as you keep it to yourself. I don't want you to ruin Christmas for me. What she meant was, she wants the "special" of the once a year part to remain. Then she says "make sure you don't ruin it for yourself, as I know how much you love it."

So finally the question.

I always keep Christmas with me all year. Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a Christmas fanatic. I generally keep it internal and not as active though. This is the first year I've been here and that I plan to keep it with me of every second of every day. Those of you that are vetarans, does the "special" leave, just a bit, because you are living it all year long and not just for 2 or so months out of the year? I think I know what the answer is but I'm just curios of your insight. :snowball:

Being here enhances Christmas for me, because I can talk about it and share it year-round (here on the Countdown, nearly every day!). I generally reserve certain music, movies, and books for the Christmas season alone (for me, it begins about Nov. 1st), although I start enjoying some of my seasonal stuff in September and October, and we start planning our DVD of Christmas clips around August. So I have it both ways: Christmas year-round here, plus special things that I save for when it's Christmastime on the calendar.

Good evening, MMC! Hope you're all doing well. Not much going on here right now. Just spending some time with my DH and the kids. I think I am going to head over to the Pines here shortly for quick visit, just so I can pop in for the week.

What is new with all of you? I have to work tonight, then I am off tomorrow. Yahhh! :???: I work the weekend, plus Sunday...I haven't even looked to see when I am off next after that...I am half afraid too...haha. Hopefully I am off Monday.

Well, I guess since there is nothing else to report, I will head over to the Pines. Praying for all of you who need prayers. Talk to you all here later on before I head to work! cheesy

I went to work and lasted just over 2 hours, my foot is in too much pain. I have a Dr appt. at 5:30 tonight to see what is the issue.

Glad to hear that ... I sure hope he can do something for you right away so the pain doesn't continue.

OMG! Look at them go!!!!!!

Made, Coach, get off the table! You will fall!

lauriebear (I think it was you who won the DVDs from Carl last week), don't forget to bring the Outtakes from the 'Pines DVD tonight! I'm heading out with the DVD projector! Save me a hammock and a Fired Twinkie. Do I have to bring my own towel for the pool?

These guys showed up at the Pines wanting Carl to join their little circus...thought they could bribe him with this cute reindeer.
Carl was tempted until they made the mistake of telling him that camels do not drink coffee or eat fired twinkies! Those guys can sure make a circus trailer move fast, must of been the angry camel trying to run them down!!

WOW!!! You, your school, and your students are so lucky!!! It is sad, though, that we have to depend on other contributions to do the jobs we need to do.

Hey guys! Great day today....received official word of a $150,000 grant for our school. I'm stoked. Going to be able to do a lot of good things for our kids. I couldn't be happier.
