:wiggy: So there I was minding my own business at work yesterday, when I noticed a poster on a co-worker's desk. I asked about it and as it turned out her son was starring in a local musical production at his High School in Footloose the Musical. I joined her for that instead. She's twelve years younger than I am. I had as much fun watching the pride on her face watching her son perform (as Chuck) as I did watching the overall performance. After the applause and the cast exited the stage (left and right) and the audience was departing, she stood up and turned to the total strangers behind us and exclaimed, "wasn't that an awesome performance by my Chuck!!!" It wasn't really a question.

We have quite a bit of talent in my merry neck of the woods and I enjoy going to productions when it's not all adults. There are three different talent groups that I try and support provided the plays or musicals they are performing are of interest. It's so great to see their enthusiasm and feel their pride when the performance comes to an end.

As it turns out, I worked with two of the other cast members when they were younger and it was a good feeling to see them on stage, full of confidence and having a grand time. The director is an old childhood friend so it's always great to see her too. In fact, it was her family who originally owned my dog Ragmop when she was a pup. Somehow seeing her a couple of times a year helps me miss my dog less.

Well, my merry chums, I must close the laptop down so I can scan the Sears Spring and Summer catalogue that arrived today on what feels like the coldest day of the New Year.

:hi: Catch y'all over the weekend!

Made-all your talk about turkey the last few days made me take out the frozen cooked turkey we had in the freezer leftover from Christmas and cook that up for dinner, it was yummmmmmy! Just watching the Bruins take on the hated Habs, I stood up way too long making dinner, my foot is very sore. My dr called and said I will probably getting an injection in my heel tomorrow, I hope that takes care of the pain.

Prayers for everything to go well. Keep us posted!

I don't think you've been neglecting us. With all you have to do? Please ... relax with a game. We know we're in your thoughts even when you aren't on line, and that goes BOTH ways.
I agree! Have fun CM3!
Just found this and since his album was stuck in the player all season I thought maybe a few of you would like it too.

Thanks for posting this! I become a big fan of his since he released the Christmas album! I love it!
How cute!!! I know I don't really talk about mine all that much here either (except I think I did last year when we were having troubles with the dog and cat...). I have a calico cat named Sangria, a little over 4 years old, who is the absolute light of my life. When she purrs or meows, it makes me so so happy. DF has a German Shorthaired Pointer named Gunner, who just turned 7 on Christmas Eve. He is a ball of energy and with me being a cat person it is sometimes very difficult for me, but I love him regardless. Together, DF & I purchased a betta fish named Alpha (Alpha betta...get it? /greek humor) about two years ago. So far those are all the animals we have...although I would love to get another cat, lol.
Great name for your Betta! I just love animals, couldn't live without them!
:wiggy: pssst. it was supposed to be a secret. Heh,heh!
Someone spilled the beans in the Chat Box today! That's how I found out. =)

Sorry Jonathan. :-P

ok, finding the amount of posts here almost overwhelming. I simply cannot keep up with all this, much as I would like to!
So rather than wear myself out, I am going to bed, especially since I am already wore out!
Good night everyone!!!

How exciting! Did you cut it out and hang it on your refrigerator, too? I mean, you have to do that!
Are you kidding? I'm having it professionally framed! cheesy

It sounds like it was a wonderful evening. I love seeing kids in productions, too. My daughter has made me watch "High School Musical" so many times, I could probably help direct!

I love hearing about everyone's pet. I may not talk about mine a lot but I have a houseful and they are the delight of my day. You should hear all the mushy baby talk that goes on ALL DAY long with them. They are all totally ROTTEN!

Here they are:

2 chihuahuas - Chico and Meca
2 cats - Charlie and Gary
1 Quaker Parrot - Bailey (after George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life)
1 Russian Tortoise - Alvin, This tortoise has so much personality and will come running to me when he sees me. He is sooooooo cute!
1 Red Eared Slider Turtle - Timmy (he only likes my son and comes to him but runs from me. Ha ha!)

7 stray cats that have all been fixed and shots given. My neighbor and I take care of all of them.

CM3, I don't expect you to have to add all these names to your "shout out". I just wanted you all to know about my critters.

What a great group you have, thank you for sharing that.

When I read that part about the baby talk, it just made me smile, it sounds just like over here. Today my lil skinny Minnie (AKA) Callie got out my door either while I went out or came in wth Snicker's she was out for about 2 hours until I was leaving for work, I had no idea she was outside, I knew something was up but figure she was hiding - goodness how did I let that happen it was pouring out when she came in she was soaked, I felt awful. But, she is now sleeping on my leg, Bella by my neck and back and Snicker's by my other leg, ahhhhh life is good.

Good luck, hope everything goes well. I'm feeling the January blues a bit, but we have an appointment with the mortage people about our new house, so hopefully some good news is round the corner.

Good luck with you new home.

Seawaters, i am so sorry you have to go trough all that pain.

I am going to try to go to courses today, because i have to, but right now it seems like a stupid plan. i wrapped myself in thermo underwear and thick clothes, can't wait to be home tonight.

Ho ho ho everyone!
Busy me back again!
I'm done training and on the phones supporting customers. I don't have a cell phone so its ...well...I guess interesting. I'm not anyone that's new to technology so its not hard lol. So I have seen houses with Christmas lights still up. Makes me happy that there are others holding onto the spirit! How has everyone been? This weekend I am going to Windsor to visit Mom. I'm taking some extra time off from work as well to relax! I'm waiting patiently for my cook book to arrive. Jeff is kind enough to get another one out to me. Thanks Jeff! Cant wait to read it. I have lit my Yankee Candle "Snowy Forest". Mmmmmm. William is still singing Jingle Bells every now and then. I cant wait for Christmas 2012! Hope everyone is doing well. Have a good evening!!

The doctor called today. The news is not good. I go back tomorrow to talk options. I am at peace, even now!!!

Send him LOTS of pictures of Jordan. I bet that will have theraputic effects!!!

Good morning all! I did not sleep as good last night,so I decided to just go ahead and get up before I overslept. I am finally catching up on missed sleep from last week I guess. It is cool and 44F outside and clear, when I let the dog out just now I noticed how clear it was. My mom and older sister are flying in town today around 430. I am looking forward to seeing them although I know I will really be missing my dad...I talk to him almost every day,I just know he wishes he was up to come down and visit. I just have to look foward to next year when he can come, otherwise I get depressed just thinking about it. I hope everyone has a good thursday!!

50,000 posts is a tall order!!!

Today looks like it will be slow at work which I guess is good because I need to catch up on paperwork. I just got off the phone with my mom and sister and they are getting ready to board the plane in portland. I am looking forward to eating my mom's cooking again. I sure misssed it at Christmas this past year. Just noticed we are almost under 300 days to xmas season 2012!!! I bet we get to 50k posts on this thread too!!
