Just getting off the phone with my mom and she asked me what I wanted her to cook for dinner tonight. I told her salmon patties. I always mean to get her recipes for that because I love those. She says it's very easy to make. so i really need to pay attention when she makes them tonight. My mom is spoiling me rotten this week while she is here. I sure can't wait until my dad and her fly down again this summer. It will be quiet when everyone leaves this weekend. I hope everyone here is having a great day. Mine is going super so far!

The temperatures have been below average for the last several mornings but this morning is a nice exception (just under 50 degrees).
It is predicted to be a windy day however, possibly has high as 40 mph.
(Note to self: watch out for tree limbs!)

The house next door took down all their nice Christmas decorations yesterday.
But on the positive side, there are still about 5-10 more houses in the neighborhood that at least have their Christmas door wreaths still!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! We are dealing with severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings here this morning. We got all the way up to 60 degrees overnight but the temp is going to fall throughout the day and the rain could turn to snow this evening. My plan for today is to clean up the mess my niece's made yesterday and then I need to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I am having a very hard time getting going today - I took new allergy meds last night, slept over 10 hours and am quite sure I could sleep 10 more!

I hope you feel better!!!!!!! I took some benadryl last night and it knocked me out.

Sorry, Meceka. I honestly didn't expect the cat to jump in the water. I thought he'd run off with a fright, and maybe not return to my yard to poop in it for a while. I chase them out of my yard, and they keep returning.

I did get a chuckle from it, but only because they have turned my yard into a big litter box. You can smell it around the pool in the summertime. They sleep on my porch and pool furniture, walk on my vehicles, and relieve themselves in my yard. My kids can't even go out barefooted in the summer...in their own yard.

Either way, I obviously offended you, and I'd rather live with the cats than to think I offended any of my friends here. Please accept my apology!

Thanks!!! I used Windows live movie maker to put the video together. Then I used Audacity to record the narration over the music before adding it to the video.

Here's a quick story about something that happened this morning. But first let me preface the story with a confession; I don't like cats. I never have. And my neighbors insist on owning cats that are free to roam the neighborhood. The problem is that they perfer to use my yard as their litter box, more recently they area around our pool. It really chaps my behind (pardon me!)

Anyway, as I was walking to my truck this morning on my way to work, I saw one of them on my pool deck, leaning over & drinking water from the pool. He was facing away from me and I snuck up behind him...AND YELLED LOUDLY!

He squalled and jumped straight out into the pool. This tickled me, because the outside temp was 33° this morning, and I got a good laugh about this cat getting dunked in nearly-freezing water. But then I decided I didn't want him to drown in my pool, so I went on the deck planning to pull him out. When he saw me coming, he hooked a paw over the side and pulled himself out...then took off like a bullet for home! Yeehaw!

Hopefully he learned a lesson about living (and pooping) in my yard!!!

Certainly don't mean to offend anyone but that's funny. Cats are tough and I'm sure you didn't hurt him. We have a problem with a wild stray tomcat that constantly sprays around our porch. We own a couple of female cats that have been neutered. They are strictly outside cats with a job to do, (kill mice, moles, etc and help keep snakes away).

We had several inches of snow Friday and a little more forecast for tonight. Then warmer weather comes back later in the week. I much prefer the cold weather. Last winter was so much nicer than this one.

Happy Milestone eve everyone! Wow it goes crazy fast when you're counting. Am I the only one that wishes January would hurry and end? I think it's just too close to Christmas and I think it'll seem so much quicker when one month is down.

Good morning everyone. I had a few and far between relaxing evening with my love cooking and watching tv. We made home made turkey meat loaf and it was delicious. I'm really getting into this whole cooking thing (maybe because I'm just the helper, and she's the cook).

Today at work is going to be crazy. I work at a college and all the kids come back today. Their break is sometimes a break for me as well as it seems so calm. Well, on to my second cup of coffee. I hope everyone has a great day and again Merry Milestone Eve!!!

I have the original and the seasonal, they are fun. Funny thing is not too long ago, I didn't even know what Angry Birds was. My wife and I saw some of the stuffed angry birds, and I said, what the heck is an angry bird, LOL.

Good morning,

It snowed last night! We got about 3 inches, but it is suppose to get into the 40's today so it will be just a quick a visit. My foot is in a lot of pain today, I had to pick LC up the other night, and I felt another "pop" I don't know what I can do about work if I need that hard cast. The boys were crazy this morning, there was a 2 hour delay from the weather and they just kept beating the crap out of each other, so I took them to the daycare/preschool so JP could catch the bus from there like he usually does, and I could get peace of mind that they wouldn't hurt each other any more since they separate the older kids from the younger ones. My plans are to take it easy today, my wife gave a honey-do list, but I need to rest my foot today so honey-do will be honey-didn't today.

Its a rainy tuesday morning. I have today off! Its a day to myself. I don't get many of those! Back to work tomorrow though. Just listening to Christmas music right now. Still see a few neighbours with lights on. I was at Moms on the weekend and she still had her tree up and on! So did the people across the street. Makes me happy! Tomorrow is Pinesday! I could use some of that. I hear Carl has some candy cane hot chocolate too! mmmmmmm. Well have a good day everyone and stay warm!

I'm kind of jealous of my sister in Washington right now. They've got about 3 inches of snow and it is still snowing pretty hard right now. It's looking like they could get at least a foot before Thursday morning. They don't have the equipment to deal with that much though so I probably shouldn't be jealous of her because they won't be going anywhere for awhile.
