You need to release your emotions every now and then, what you are going through is very tough. We are here to listen to you, so vent whenever you need to.

I had a bad day, emotionally. I am not sure how other cancer patients feel, but I did not do too well with my emotions today. I had a substitute in my classroom yesterday. She gave out all the paperwork BUT not to the absent kiddo. She just threw it away!!! Today, I had to find my master sheets, make new copies, and give them to my absent student. She let my kids out 10 minutes EARLY (!!!) and told those who have After-School Intervention that since I was absent, there was NO intervention. (THOSE kids go to OTHER teachers after school.) She also told one kiddo that he could use my desk to house his clothing (!!!), and told the kids that their names on the board were just warnings and that they would not need to serve time-outs for me!!! There was one other thing, but I am so upset that I cannot remember it!!! THEN, my oncologist could not get an okay for my MRI, so there is MORE waiting!!! I burst into tears when I called my oncologist and could not talk. Sorry for venting. But these are days off my life!!!

Good morning MMCers. Hope you're all doing well today. I was up3 or 4 times last night. I lost count though. DS has been sick with a cold and now EA is catching it. She just woke up here and actually said to me, "Mommy, I sick." God love her. Kids melt your heart, don't they?

We have a doctor's appt. for DS at 8:30 which just actually is a routine appt. Hopefully all is good with him.

Well, DH should be home from work soon. Hope you all have a great day. Ttyl on.

I hope your daughter is feeling better, and the checkup goes well for your son.

Well I gave snowball a bath and he is miffed at me and refuses to come to bed,he is actually sleeping on his bed in the living room downstairs,,,about 1 or 2 he will scratch on the door for me to let him in,and yes I will.**sigh** I am a push over for my dogs. I am antsy about work tomorrow as I have to be there an hour early and meet with a few superiors I usually don't see,so I am kinda having a hard time falling asleep. I miss being around here as much as I use too,I guess the longer I am a member here I will get use to it,I mean the first 6 months I was here nonstop about 8 hours per day, then things will get hectic and I get called away here and there I guess everyone here is like that? some times I feel like I can never catch up! oh well...I guess I will try to call it a night...and PS....the Southeast snowstorm has fizzled out so far!lol Maybe next year!
I hope you feel rested today!

Aww... Hang in there sweetie! You have so much on your mind that when things are not going quite right you are going to break down. I pray you feel better today!
Ya know what??? I just want to say that this forum is what keeps me grounded!!! Thanks from my heart!!!
I AGREE!!! This is the best place ever!
On a lighter note. I remember having a substitute teacher in high school one day that came in to the room and took attendance at the beginning of class. Then he told us that he was going to run to the bathroom and didn't come back until 2 minutes before the class was over. We all thought he was the greatest teacher ever!!
That is way too funny! I was thinking the same thing. When a teacher doesn't do their job right, to the students advantage, everyone seems to like them.
.
when i came in from work a bit ago my dogs were waiting on me. 1st thing i do is get them treats (& they sure do remember that). they just about tackle me as i'm coming in the door. their so darn sweet though.
You know, they say that you should train a dog not to jump on you as you come in the door but I don't care what theysay. I EXPECT my dogs to jump on me. I am just as happy to see them as they are to see me. I don't mind them jumping on me! By the way, these are 2 little chihuahuas, not harm if they jump on me. =)

Good morning everyone! it's a sunny mild day today!I am glad to see the sun after the last 4 or 5 cloudy days! and I'm glad I have my 6am meeting over with...I am always on time for work never ever late, and today I woke up at 530 which was oversleeping by 30 mins which is something I never do,well I just made it to work on time and had to skip my morning shower!lol I'm just glad I was not late...today is Brandi's 24th BD so I will bring her cake home with me,Im stopping at Publix (local grocer) that has the best deli and bakery in town..I ordered her a necklace which she has been hinting around that she liked and ups is suppose to bring it to work today...that is all that is happening on my end of things. I have not looked at the weather forecast yet today but last time I looked it was suppose to stay mild and sunny...so sounds good, people around here are already starting to get spring allergies, and I could have sworn there was tree pollen on my car this morning!! have a great hump day everyone! see yall at the pines tonight if I can hold out that long!

Happy B-Day to Brandi!

OK.
The Pines.
And I guess it had to happen.
With all the talk of coffee vs tea, coupled wiith Carl's experimantal nature I suppose it was inevitable that camel would come up with a coffee and tea blend.
I don't know whether to be intrigued or revolted.
Shall we meet at the 'Pines and find out?

With all this talk of people living on the wild side eating funky cereals do you think Carl will attempt a Cereal flavored Coffee??? Fruit Loops Coffee blend, Apple Jacks, Raisin Bran cereal blend? Okay, I don't even want to think about that last blend.

Good morning,

It's quiet here now the kids are at school and preschool, my foot is resting, but I need to get out of here for a little while today, I am really going stir crazy, and all of you are probably sick of seeing me post so much the last few days. cheesy I am watching a new show called Heat Seekers, they go around to different cities looking for the spiciest foods possible, this episode they are in Las Vegas, now I just want to go there for the spiciness especially the restaurant called LBS. You ever been there Snowflake? I love spicy foods! I must figure out what to do today, unfortunately there is no movies out I want to see right now. Hmmm?

Enjoy your :rudolph: Day

Happy Birthday to your mom, 'Star! As of two years ago, she still looks very healthy!

As a qualified (but unemployed in the field) teacher, that is embarrassing to our profession, Seawaters. Extremely frustrating that people like that can have work while not respecting the traditions of the teacher.

In respect to your MRI, I hope it comes soon. As mentioned in about September, I have/had a friend that had to undergo chemo and all that other stuff to eliminate his cancer. Well, as of last week, he had his final surgery and the cancer has been drained and removed from his body. He still has a long road to recovery, but he is in the best situation possible now. I am so happy for him. I know the thoughts and assistance from those at MMC definitely aided him through the entire process. I am sure they will do the same for you! We know you can do it! We're all here for you! All the best!!

As for your venting... That's also what we're here for :)

Made, Xmas366 and the rest of us daring cereal eaters!

Maybe some of you seen this, been around awhile. My daughter showed me this video nearly 8 years ago and I now watch it with my grandchildren. It's a catchy little tune and I like the last line in the song.

Never saw that before, not quite as daring today as I stuck with Shredded Wheat.

And I bet you guys never "tattled" on him until now!!!

Greetings Friends, I trust everyone is doing well on this fine Tuesday in late January. Life is just grand here in lovely Peoria. On a personal note, I signed up on a dating site. My love for Christmas has drawn some interesting responses already lol. I love it! Have a great day everyone.

Bullypup I did that years ago, in fact I made a great friend thru it, he is now close to my husband!!! Crazy right, we just were like we are friends and that was it, so you never know even if you don't fiend a very special person you could met a life long friend!!! Good luck!!!

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!!!! It's been a cold but productive morning for me. I put front brakes on my friends truck and then I did a tune up for him. He has an older 70's chevy pick up and I love working on it. There's actually room to get a ratchet in to the spark plugs without having to take off 50 other panels. It makes the job go a lot faster. Well I'm off to get some work done before Valerie comes on QVC at 1pm est. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 1970's Chevy Truck, "drool"... I love those old trucks, I had a 1985 Bronco, sadly I had to sell it I needed the money at the time, I still miss it.

No apology needed! Please you need to do this, it helps. We are all here for you.

Ok, now....this might get me boo'ed out of the boards...but I have a confession to make.

I am a closet Pats fan. HOLD ON HOLD ON!!!

Mainly the coach. I just appreciate the way he runs an organization. I'm pulling for them (sorry Made), plus I can't stand the giants (Cowboy rival). I even refuse to capitalize their name! So, I feel better....

Tomorrow....Wednesday....see you at the Pines tomorrow night. I will be the one in the hoodie with the cutoff sleeves in hour of Bill Belichick. Made will be the one in the Tom Brady jersey....well....maybe? What do you say, Made?

OMG... Say it ain't so oh no Coach, so... I think I am going to be sick, BLAH!!!!!! Boooooo Coach, you are killing me, You have no respect for my GGGGGGGGGG-MMMMMMMMEEEEEEENNNNNN... Now, as a, yes in all CAPS!!!! NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS FAN... I have been very good about not mocking the cowpokes, ops I mean cowboys!!! HA, HA, HA ---- OK, OK that wasn't nice, but I cannot ever, will never be a fan of that team in Dallas or in New England. Coach, you be there in your hater outfit, I will proudly be sporting my Easy E jersey and Made I'll bring some lighter fluid to get a nice burn on that jersey!!! HA, HA, HA!!! I love this banter!!! It makes it SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

I'll have a Brady jersey with me but I won't be wearing it. It'll burning on the end of a stick!!!!!

Tee Hee....

I AGREE 100%. THEIR COACH IS !%#*&#!$%%^! & I KNOW BRADY IS A GOOD QB, BUT WHEN HE DOES SCREW UP HE'S ALWAYS BLAMING SOMEONE ELSE. I DO NOT LIKE THEM @ ALL. I CAN'T STAND IT WHEN THE CAMERA SHOWS A SHOT OF BILL! MY OLDEST SON IS A HUGE FAN...HUGE, IT MAKES FOR AN INTERESTING SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR! GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOO HOO GO MADE, GO MADE, GO MADE!

Tee Hee, we New Yorkers call him Cry Baby Brady... Ah, but that is just the fan in me talking... He can sure throw a ball... AGH, I guess I really love to hate them - Tee HEE!!!!

Mine are the same when i come in lol and when i go out scooby gets on the sofa with the 2 paws on the window sill and looks out and sometimes when my parnter is out he sits on the sofa with the 2 paws over the back of the sofa looking out. he says he does the same when am out. hes like a old man. and he can hear the jeep coming round the corner and he goes to the door and sits to see what you have bought him and sashs home

DON'T YA' JUST LOVE THEM TO PIECES?

I know it is awesome when I walk by the dinning room window and I see them all "looking" for me and when I come into view the they gt all "happy"!!!

Today is my mom's 82nd birthday. We are blessed to have her still as part of our lives. She is healthy and active and still travels often to visit family in Vermont and British Columbia. She visits the "elderly" every week at a couple of nursing homes.

Hope she enjoys her day!!!

I think I will do that with my Carson Palmer Bengals jersey, still bitter at him for quitting on the team.

Sorry Xmas, I know that feeling sometimes it can really cut you when that happens...

I want to send a special THANKS! to the MMC Mystery Greeter who sent me a Christmas card this week, congratulating me on becoming mayor, and wishing me a Happy First Rudolph Day in 2012!

The card was sent to Bernie's Store LOL! I never get mail there, and Bernie thought I was crazy for getting a card from a "Mystery Greeter"...LOL!!!! Thanks again!!!

Oh, and Happy Rudolph Day, everyone!

HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY to you Bardmac!!! That was SO cool someone sent you a card how awesome, and left it a mystery, that is the BEST part!!!!

These sound so COOL, you have to let us know how they are for those who do not have them, did you get them from E-Bay or something like that?

I got them on Ebay and secondary sellers on Amazon, 4 are used books, 1 brand new. They are right up my alley!

That is so cute of her. If you make another cake like this one, save me some!!! I love cake with thick frosting and pink flowers!!!

Brent, your frustration is well justified, we need teachers like you, SW, etc. who are in it for the kids, and the education - I have a neighbor who is a teacher and he is a nice guy and all but... He says it often how he became a teacher to get the vacation time, tenure, and not have to work hard at all... Ugh, I feel bad for the students who get him...

And I bet you guys never "tattled" on him until now!!!

"Tattle" now why would they do that, he may have been sickly you know, not eating enough Fruit Loops or Boo Berry!!! HA, HA, HA!!!!
