Merry: What a great story. You know we gotta take care of the little guys/gals as they need our help.

I can't believe I'm sharing this one, it's my least favourite of all the songs I switched around, but it's bad enough to be a hit with this camel loving crowd. HaHa. I mean that in the nicest way

Such a great song, you have some talent. I'll be humming it all day.

Remarks will be brief, I'm on my Kindle ...

How do you do multi quotes with Tapatalk? I can't figure it out on my iPad.

Well, since I can dive into that coffee blend breakfast of java champions, allow me to perform a song for y'all.

We may need to start a Shispering Pines Idols contest!

Then Nancy and I are finally going to go out for our anniversary. It was in November, but our daughter was born on our anniversary, so we don't get to go out at that time. Then the holidays are upon us, so we have to wait a couple months. We don't mind, though. Our daughter was the best anniversary present ever!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Have a wonderful anniversary!

Keeping with the Christmas theme of the day for myself, I am now watching A Christmas Story. Foot is up, and as comfy as possible. Got to pick up JP in 45 minutes.

Ahhh...my all time favorite Christmas movie, enjoy!

I would just want to apologize to everyone about missing the pines last night. It was a rather rough and unexpected night. I usually don't talk about these sorts of things but I'm looking for prayers or thoughts.

I was finishing up my Rudolph Day podcast and my girlfriend came in crying. She is b]Bulgarian and a close family friend, practically family member, died unexpectedly yesterday. He was younger in his early 50's and in great shape. They found him in Yellowstone alone with no real signs of what happened. The Bulgarian community is just so small and close here it really affected her. He was like her uncle. Anyway sorry for the sad story but please help me pray for their family as they are going through a hard time.

I love coming here though. No matter what life throws at you, MMC is always cheerful and supportive! It's a great escape from life!

I'm sorry for your girlfriend's loss. Unexpectedly early deaths are difficult to accept. Prayers heading your way.

I swear, I don't know how some of the people in my Statistics class ever got accepted to college. When we all walked into class, our professor told us, "When taking a seat, make sure you are not sitting directly next to anyone, and make sure you sit in every other row." So basically he wanted space between the rows and space between people sitting by each other so no one cheated. It took 15 minutes for people to understand how to sit! :o

Oh well, the test itself took me 15 minutes and I think I did really well on it! I just had a slice of pizza for lunch and now I am headed to the grocery store to pick up some things. After that I'll be spending the night on four homework assignments.

brent good luck w/ the new classes. who knows, maybe you'll get so many offers you'll be able to pick & choose!

Apparently teaching is the most over-saturated profession in Canada, especially Ontario. That would be quite awesome if it happened though!

Thanks, CM3 and you, too, Brent. I don't know what I would do without the support of MMC. It is truly a godsend.

And yeah, I am sure that sub that Made had really had a lack of cereal!!! So funny!!!

It is what we are here for :)

Sounds like a good time to finally celebrate! Have a delicious and enjoyable dinner, Brad!

And to emphasize that point, I submit the following for your approval:
Days to the Season: 292
Days to Christmas Day: 334
Under 2 1/2 weeks now to the one quarter Season marker!
I approve of these dates!

I often asked myself the same question during my years of college/university. It is strange how some people manage to function.

Don't worry. It looks like we hired the Ravens defense coordinator today to be our next head coach. I don't know much about him so I don't know if it's a good choice or not. The media all seem to like it so I'm hoping they are right.

Ahhh, Chuck Pagano, I just saw the news. I have no real problem with him...the Ravens defense is always among the best in the league, so if he can use that experience to make the necessary changes in Indy, I am behind him 100%!!!

Okay Some one is in trouble!!!!!! I was wore out after babysitting my niece's this afternoon and fell asleep in one of the hammocks by the fire pit. when I woke up I discovered this-

ne-patriots.jpg

I've been told it's just a temporary tattoo and that it should wear off after the super bowl is over.

That is probably one of the worst tats I've ever seen! lol I need to get out there and ink some Giants stuff on your other arm! =D

OMG!!!! One word.... AWESOME

hey ya'll! well only 2 more days till the weekend, i can't wait!
ok, if you must know that was a pic of carl w/ his roommate george. that shellie was driving them to the pines & they happened to meet up w/ made as he was leaving the barber shop. i swear i think they had all been in the spiked coffee already because as snowflake was walking harlowe she heard them howling out to made to jump in. & yes he did have cah's laundry w/ him to return. any hoo, made jumps in, snowflake & harlowe gave them a big wave & they were off. up the road came xmas on his way to pick up the kids w/ his crutches sticking out the car window, the crutches got caught on a lamp post, & wouldn't ya' know it, the crutches went flying in the air. star & brent were coming from her mom's party. brent being such a good soccer player totally blocked the crutches from star. bless his heart! then bradmac came out to see what was going on in town, ya' know, since he's mayor. xmas had turned & was yelling for his crutches, brad takes them to him in the street & turned to look.....here they came again, shellie, carl, george, & made going around in circles lost. they had called lauriebear for directions but every right turn they were to make ended up a left turn. iliam & cm3 came by & were cleaning up the mess from the lamp post so that the furbabies wouldn't get cuts. carl is singing jingle bells & george singing rudolph the red nosed reindeer (as it's rudolph day). gramsey & meceka were on their way to the pines & decided to follow shellie. tex & cah came in their Big TEXAS truck & in the back were, snowflake, harlowe, sugar, dawg, kerstig, sw1dennis, crown, auntie, kerstig, merrycarey, ann, & merrymistletoe. they pulled over, loaded the rest of us up, caught up w/ shellie, carl, george, made, meceka, &gramsey & we were all on our way to the pines. we had the radio on listening to rjd playing Christmas music so we all joined in headed up to the pines. as wee get there binger & jayish are there to welcome us & that binger is binging!!
so there ya' have it. the whole scoop on the pic!!! hahahahahahahahahaha

I am still laughing!!!!!!!!!!

They are in the mail still, hopefully they will start coming in tomorrow

Xmas!!!! Your kitties are SO beautiful!!!!

That's okay too. When I walk around the survivor lap with my co-captain, she picks me every year because she knows I don't mind if she cries. She suffers from survivor guilt because quite a few of her relatives have not won their battles. I don't try and stiffle it, I am content to let her remember the pain, the fear and then the victory, and as people applaud the survivors, the joy for life returns to her.

You can cry, scream or laugh and I'll still be here!

Sniff, sniff, now I have tears, this is so uplifting and emotional all at the same time.

I can't believe I'm sharing this one, it's my least favourite of all the songs I switched around, but it's bad enough to be a hit with this camel loving crowd. HaHa. I mean that in the nicest way.

Captain Christmas By: Auntie Mistletoe (Based on the song, I Am Woman by: Helen Reddy and Ray Burton)

I am the captain, hear me roar
In Christmas I implore
And I know what lurks ‘round the bend
‘Cause I’ve seen it all before
And it’s making my heart sore
Nobody’s ever gonna spoil Christmas again.

Oh yes, I am in disguise
And in my suit I’ll remain
Yes, I’ll save y’all the grief
As I venture out again
If I have to
I can conquer anything
I am strong (strong)
I am unstoppable (unstoppable)
I am Captain Christmas

You can celebrate with glee
‘Cause you can count on me
More determined to save our festive joys
And I’ll protect Santa too
I’m not a afraid of what nay-sayer’s will do
‘Cause I depend on eggnog to make me soar

EggnogFestive.jpg

Oh yes, I am in disguise
And in my suit I’ll remain
Yes, I’ll save y’all the grief
As I venture out again
If I have to
I can conquer anything
I am strong (strong)
I am unstoppable (unstoppable)
I am Captain Christmas

I am Captain Christmas watch me go
See me battling my grinchy foe
As I spread my love for Christmas ‘cross the land
And I’m still a new super hero
With a longing to show
Until I make the whole world understand

Oh yes, I am in disguise
And in my suit I’ll remain
Yes, I’ll save y’all the grief
As I venture out again
If I have to
I can conquer anything
I am strong (strong)
I am unstoppable (unstoppable)
I am Captain Christmas

Oh, I am Captain Christmas
I love eggnog (eggnog)
I love decorated trees (Christmas trees)

I am Captain Christmas
I love eggnog (eggnog)
I love decorated trees (Christmas trees)
I’ll save Christmas for you!

Oh my but this was fun, you are so talented!!!

So you could say were all Pine nuts..

Tee hee.... Good one Xmas!!!

Coach- No offense but it's Jersey burning time!!!!!! Everyone meet me at the fire pit!!!!!!

That was some roasting!!!!

My dad is off from work today - oy vey. I am not a morning person at all - I am quite possibly the furthest thing from a morning person. The second I woke up at 8 AM, he strolled into the living room, sat down next to me while I ate breakfast, and started chatting away. I can't even function in the morning let alone hold a conversation with someone. I swear I just grumbled back at him!
I know that living with him it might seem annoying to chatter away while you are trying to wake up but cherish every minute of it, if you can! My dad has always been a morning person and I was just telling my husband the other day how my dad always just yakked away every morning before I could even get out of bed. I actually found him hysterical because he was always saying something funny. He still makes me laugh to this very day but I miss the mornings I had with him when I lived at home. I am sure it will be a good memory for you too! cheesy
Then Nancy and I are finally going to go out for our anniversary. It was in November, but our daughter was born on our anniversary, so we don't get to go out at that time. It was great!!!!! I dumped a whole bottle of lighter fluid on it and the flames had to be at least 30 feet high.
I guess bringing the marshmallows would have not been a good idea then. You would have torched those too! =)

So sorry to hear. Prayers are with you all.

Good afternoon!

iliam: my prayers are on the way!

xmas365: hope your foot is better and that your doctor gives you the news you want to hear! Love the name Ophelia, btw - both of your cats are gorgeous!!!

Bradmac: I hope you and Nancy have a wonderful evening!

My it is damp out today - no rain as of yet, but it sure feels like it will pour at any minute - at least most of the ice is gone from my driveway cheesy

I just got back from a local Goodwill and am very happy to have found a Christmas Ideals book I didn't have - love them! While I was there I had a nice chat with a wonderful married couple who were browsing in the book area - we agreed that you can't have too many books!

Earlier in the day FedEx delivered the pet carrier I ordered for Palmer. She is going to have an operation in March and there is no way I can take her to the vet's office in a soft-sided tote bag like I take Mouse. Anyhow, the carrier is huge - a Maine Coon cat could fit in it, so I have to take it upstairs to store until needed. I am going to cart a bunch of other stuff up, too, including my Christmas tree and ornaments. I finally took the tree down this morning - it looks so empty where it once stood.

I hope the rest of your day is wonderfully MERRY!!!

So THAT'S why I wake up in the hospital every time I try to save time by drying my hair while I'm in the tub!

OMG!!! My sides are hurting from all this laughing!!!

Who knows right Brent, maybe a bunch will retire to make room for the new blood so to speak!!! We will keep praying that you get to teach soon your passion is palpable through your posts, for your chosen profession.

OK am I the only New England Patriots fan on these forums ?? We should come up with a friendly little wager on the game for all you pats dislikers. How about if the pats win you all change your avatars to patrots emblems for the month of February?? or maybe include a little pats picture in all your posts. and if the Giants win I will do the same. Sounds like fun to me!!!

That sounds like a blast to me! Maybe just change the avatar for a week?

I forgot who but someone on here is a Pats fan. My grandson and son-in-law are both Pats fan but of course not on this forum. Not sure if you saw my earlier post but I bought my grandson Patriots bedding for Christmas. His dad hung the blanket on the wall the day of the big game. =)

I am 100% Cowboys fan but I don't dislike Patriots or Giants. I just want to see a good game!

I might join in on the wager if I can make up my mind who I would like to see win. I will let you know. =)
